of customers towards Tarpaulin in Local
   market.
 To give information regarding the
   requirement of machines and technical
   specification of tarpaulin making machines.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Data Collection:
       Primary (questionnaire and PERSONAL
  INTERVIEW) and
       Secondary(magazines, websites and other such
  sources.)
Degree of research question: Exploratory study
Research Environment : Field Study
Tools Used for Data Analysis: Table, chart & graph.
Sampling Area: Kolkata (Tripalpatti & Dalhousie area.)
Population : Wholesalers & Retailers.
Sample Size : 20 (14 Wholesalers & 6 Retailers)
Sampling Technique : Convenience Sampling
                                                         8
LIMITATION OF STUDY

 The research was conducted in a very small area.
 Time factor was also important for me. I had limited time for the
research, for which a full-fledged report was insufficient for me.
 The customer filled the questionnaire mostly in careless manner, so
it was difficult to make them hold for time.
 The sample size is also very small, that is why analysis on the basis
of such small sample survey is not correct.
 All the work has been done in some limited areas of Kolkata so the
    finding should not be generalized.
 Secondary data has also its own limitation.
                                                                            9

FINDINGS
 It is clear from survey whether wholesalers and retailers they sell
mostly PP/HDPE Tarpaulin. So, Demand of PP/HDPE tarpaulin is
    huge in the market.
 Mostly Wholesalers And Retailers are satisfy with the present features
of Tarpaulin. It denotes that there is tuff competition.
 Main factor of buying Tarpaulin is depend on its price.
 There is no effect of Weight on Demand of Tarpaulin.
 Blue, mixer etc color is mostly prefer by the Customer.
 Best Season for PP/HDPE Tarpaulin is Rainy and there is huge sale in
    this season.
 Wholesalers procures direct through Manufacture, whereas Retailers
    through Wholesalers mostly.
 They come to know, mostly, about Manufacturer by their own search.
                                                                        33
SUGGESTION
 As I conducted survey on local market , therefore
the findings are only indicates local market
Demand. But actually there is huge demand in all
over the India and company should produce the
product keeping in mind all Indian market.
 There is a tuff competition in the market.
So, Company should more care about the features
  of the product.
 Pricing policy should be make with more care
  because mostly customer consider price
  differences.
 Company can have many promotional tools as
  competitor are using less. 34
CONCLUSION
 From the survey it can be conclude that there is
huge demand of PP/HDPE Tarpaulin in the Local
market as well as whole national market. Company
can enter into the market with best feature, best
pricing policy and having best promotion tools. As
company already in the plastic packaging industries
    it is also an advantages.
