is onderzoekster bij Vonk 3 (Thomas More).
This document provides an overview of problem solving and decision making for supervisors. It discusses identifying problems in the workplace, using problem solving models like the 6 step approach and fishbone analysis to determine root causes. Effective problem solvers are confident, flexible, and learn from mistakes. Decision making involves defining problems, gathering information from stakeholders, developing alternatives, and selecting the best option. Involving teams in decisions improves morale but takes more time. Supervisors must determine when individual or group decisions are most appropriate.

French bakeries have traditionally followed certain conventions like colors and gender roles of employees. However, one bakery breaks the rules with black and pink colors. While bakeries aim to sell bread, customers often leave with more treats due to the senses engaged inside. Over 30 years, bakers expanded their offerings and services, turning bakeries into social hubs. Observation found opportunities to innovate further through sound, extended hours, and online connectivity while maintaining traditions.

The document summarizes the layout and features of a typical Roman house. It describes how a Roman house was divided into two main sections separated by a study. The front section contained an entrance hall leading to an atrium with an impluvium (rainwater pool) and household shrine. Surrounding rooms included bedrooms and the study. The back section had a garden courtyard surrounded by colonnades and rooms for slaves, kitchen, bathroom, and dining room which accommodated three couches for reclining during meals. Key features like the lack of windows, shops flanking the entrance, and courtyard-centered design differed from modern houses.
[insert period joke here] Researching Menstruation OnlineAstrid Bigoni
This is a presentation of the research project [insert period joke here] Researching Menstruation Online, conducted during the Digital Methods Summer School 2013 in Amsterdam. The project aimed to unravel and understand how menstruation is described and discussed across different languages, platforms and cultures online.
In many respects, menstruation is still a taboo in Western societies. Women are encouraged to hide their menstruation and not talk about it in public. In the public sphere there seem to be two dominant approaches and discourses surrounding menstruation. One is a pathological perspective, which frames menstruation as something that needs medication; either in order for women to cope with their menstruation, or for women to get rid of their menstruation all together. The other sees menstruation as a hygiene problem that needs to be fixed.
We aimed to reveal the extent to which these constructed discourses are replicated and/or challenged across different cultures, languages and platforms online.
