INTERMISSION is a proposed community space located in Spokane's University District that aims to promote social connection. It would be located near a new pedestrian bridge and use food, drinks, lighting and activities to encourage people to explore the area. Locally sourced materials like repurposed boxcars would make up the structure. The space would allow local food vendors to showcase their cuisine while also entertaining the community through lights that change based on local events. INTERMISSION's goal is to improve well-being and social health in the area.

much more within INTERMISSION which
is conveniently located in the Spokane’s
University District. INTERMISSION contributes
to social health and promotes well-being

and adaptability are the main focus of
the structure, the improvement of social
connection is also being enhanced through

community. Locally repurposed boxcars
make up the structure. The interior setup
for the food vendors will be kept simple,
adaptable, and easy to accommodate

inside and out the lounge area will entertain
the residents’interest. These lights will have
the ability to change colors depending on
local events that are occurring, this will
include the university activities like sports
events. So you are invited to come join the
