Research Paper On Athagoraphobia
Phobia is an irrational anxiety disorder about a thing or a situation. Having such disorder affects
a person s livelihood and every day life. Some of the bad effects includes difficulty of maintaining
your relationship between your family or friends or maybe even lover. It can also affect your
performance in your job.Specialists have named many phobias but we chosed Athazagoraphobia.
Athazagoraphobia, when defined in dictionary is said to be a morbid fearof being forgotten. This
disorder has several other characteristics such as fear of being forgotten and fear of being ignored
by people they love, people around them or even people they met in the internet for short,
strangers. Athazagoraphobia is not only a fear of being forgotten but also a fear in forgetting.
This fear goes on both ways of forgetting that is why it is hard to handle. Athazagoraphobia can be
the illness itself or it can also be a symptom of another mental illness. For example, A narciccistic
person may fear being ignored or forgotten.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It can be that once you forgot something and then your parents harshly reprimanded you or maybe
your boyfriend/ girlfriend broke up with you in front of many people. Those were just few
examples of some of the possible causes for having this phobia. It is said that specialist have yet to
come up with the clear cut cause of athazagoraphobia. Some can be because of biological nature
and chemical changes within the brain. It can also be a result from a traumatic experience from
childhood or any period of your life. It can be because of the trauma of being left alone by the
parents and it can also be because of being physically, emotionally and mentally abused by your
parents or the people around

Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, And Hinduism
Many religions are practiced throughout the world. The most common ones are l Christianity,
Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Each of these have their own views, preachers and
followers. Every religion is independently known because of its distinguishing holy being and
god to be worshipped. Religions give their followers the particular strategies and rules in which to
lead their lives. These rules and strategies give the distinctive identity to the followers of the
particular religion. The religion assists the followers in improving and making better the sense of
the world in which they are spending their lives. Thus religion gives their followers the particular
way and teachings to follow in order to guide their lives.
In today s multicultural societies there is cold war among people because of religion issues. The
way religions are interpreted and practiced makes for significant changes and distinctions.
However it is also the matter of fact that each religion wants the people of other religions to accept
and adopt their religions because all religions believe that their religion is the greatest religion in the
world. Though all the religions give the specific and distinctive teachings and have the different
beliefs and characteristics, still each religion gives the teachings of humanity and love with the
mankind.
Islam is also one of the greatest religions that are being practiced in many parts of the world. Islam
has given the significant identity to its followers

Stereotypes In Half A Yellow Sun
There are billions of people on the earth. In America alone, there are over 300 million people.
Because there are so many people it becomes easier to stereotype people and base our judgments
of them off these categories. The world views every race, gender, religion, etc. in a generalized
way. Common misconceptions are: all white Americans are obese and lazy, all Mexicans are lazy
and illegal immigrants, all Arabs and Muslims are terrorists, all blacks outside of the United States
are poor, women are not as smart as men, girls are not good at sports, all blondes are unintelligent,
and many more (Stereotypeexamples). These general ideas are very dangerous when we look at
the interconnectedness of the world. When people start to judge others based on stereotypes they
have decided are true the entire population suffers. Obviously not all Americans are obese and
lazy, not all Mexicans who immigrated to America are illegally here, not all Muslims are
terrorists, not all blacks are impoverished, men are not always smarter than women, girls can be
good at sports, and there are blondes who are smart. By pigeonholing people into these categories
the world is losing valuable... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Half of a Yellow Sun the southern Christians grouped all northern Muslims as deplorable
monsters who only wanted to kill them. By concluding this they ignored the aid some northerners
gave them. America is currently struggling with this same idea about Muslims. After the Biafra
war, the Nigerian soldiers stereotyping of scholars led to the targeting of people with glasses, not
all of whom were actually professors. Adichie herself has been on both sides of stereotyping and
her characters reflect this by also having this experience. Reducing people to only a single idea
eliminates some of the talents they possess and leave the world lacking needed

Malaysian National Art Gallery
MALAYSIA NATIONAL ART GALLERY National Art Gallery was designed by a Dutch
architect in 1932 and was Kuala Lumpur last major colonial hotel. Today, the hotel has been
converted into a pyramid shaped block art gallery showcasing the work of Malaysian artists
located between Jalan Tunk Razak and Lake TItiwangsa. National Art Gallery was founded in the
late 1950s, boasting fine Malay art with long ridge roof concept adapted from traditional Malays
house and a very unusual modern structure, built with a combination of glass, metal and slate.
National Art Gallery aims to display to the world some of the local artwork, hosts seminars,
workshops and competitions in the local and international arena to promote the appreciation of the
arts by the younger generation. Each building has its own concept which defines what kind of
design it used. The roof design of the National Art Gallery adopted the combination of aluminium
rainscreen cladding with curtain wall system. The following will briefly discuss on the system
used: в–єAluminium Rainscreen Cladding Rainscreen cladding is a lightweight and durable
panelling system that consists of an outer leaf with air gaps, a ventilated cavity and an inner wall.
The cavity is to generate pressure to impede the ingress of water through the open joints. The open
joints between is to permit air movement for drying out the moisture that gets through the joints. It

The Art Of Racing In The Rain Rhetorical Analysis
The Art of Racing in the Tears
The Art of Racing in the Rain is a novel written in the point of view of an intelligent dog named
Enzo. The unique point of view of this novel is what makes it so entertaining and easy to read.
Specific scenes that show how Enzo transcends scenes include the zebra scene. Another is when
Enzo kills the squirrel. The last is Enzo s dying scene. In the Art of Racing in the Rain, Garth Stein
manipulates his style by writing through the unusual point of view of a dog named Enzo, which
transcends an ordinary scene into an extraordinary scene, by using specific syntax, diction, and the
unique point of view of Enzo.
As Enzo was left to starve and hallucinate he encountered the evil zebra.
The now living zebra said nothing to me at all, but when it saw me it began to dance, a twisting,
jerky ballet which, culminated with the zebra repeatedly thrusting its gelded groin into the face of
an innocent Barbie doll. That made me quite angry, and I growled at the molester zebra, but it
simply smiled and continue its assault, this time picking on a stuffed frog, which it mounted from
behind and rode bareback it s hoof in the air like a bronco rider, yelling out
Yee haw! Yee haw! (53).
In this passage Enzo witnesses a horrific sight, but if told by through a different point of view, the
scene would seem very different. In reality Enzo was seeing illusions but what was really
happening was Enzo tearing up a little girl s stuffed animal. Because this scene was told through the
point of view of Enzo the scene really enticed the reader and pulled in their attention. Stein used
word choice such as molester zebra and gelded groin to simulate a nightmarish scene. Stein also
writes his sentences in a way that makes the audience read in a rapid yet fearful way by using
syntax. Examples of this are the excessive use of commas and short/easy pronounceable words.
The now living zebra said nothing to me at all....into the face of an innocent Barbie doll . Because
of Enzo s genuine fear and anxiety, this scene is transformed into an exciting, fearful scene because
it is told through the point of view of Enzo.
Another scene where the perspective Enzo provides changes a scene is when he kills the

WomenВґs Role in Litetraute
Now in our society, women are always involved in many important events or issues. As we can see
on the news that there are many women joining global decision making conference, for example,
Global Health Conference, The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, etc.
Women can make decision and the representative for the country. Just like Michelle Obama, The
First Lady of United State, she can follow Obama to nearly all of the business trip or conference

The idea of women, such as those in the story can be maintained through Shahrazad retelling their
dignity is amazing. Although Muslim women called back seat in their daily lives, we cannot
ignore them exude wisdom and strength. At that time, women are acting like they are considered
property. Thus, the concept of Shahrazad is liberation of oppressed women and continues to
inspire the women for the next generations. The last important story of the lass is The Tale of
Genji. For Genji s love relationships, there are two basic assessments. First, set up a few centuries
is still in current accepted repeatedly considered by the narrator himself, Genji is all but irresistible
to the effect; but he never gave up and he established ties to any woman. These are compelling or
admirable qualities, and Genji is often praised for men and women as an ideal. However, the
reactions to such ideas have been set recently in North America, Japan, and elsewhere with no
doubt.
The first thing in the story about the relations of gender is that they are humane means. No trace of
physical violence against women, there does not have any unreasonable insistence purity, chastity,
so on. Men expected women to ignore a lot of things but maybe they also do their best to
reciprocate. However, men of the story certainly dominate their world. The structure of the entire
government is male, except certain office. The gentleman has professional or public life, as well as
private, lady rarely

The World Trade Center Buildings
Numerous reasons and possibilities circulate through out the world as to if the United States
government had ties to the happenings on September 11th, 2001. Evidence to dispute 9/11 being
an inside job quickly began to go viral, especially on the Internet. False flag terrorism became a
widely debated topic to go along with the conspiracies. Theorists believe that bombs demolished the
World Trade CenterBuildings, the phone calls from the planes were a hoax, or George W. Bush

(NewsOne Staff 2012) As a final point, there is evidence to believe the United States government
had responsibility in the attacks that took place in 2001.
Right before the terroristic effects of September 11th, unknown investors allegedly used foresight of
the 9/11 tragedies events to scam on many markets globally including but not limited to an
astounding amount of put options placed to belittle the same airlines hijacked during the attacks

Network Bandwidth And Data Upload Time
Though client side deduplication brings in advantages such as reduction of network bandwidth
and data upload time, several security threats are associated with it. These threats have to be
addressed in order to reap the full potential of client side deduplication. Halevi et al. [3] identified
various threats that affect a remote storage system that implements client side deduplication.
First, in traditional storage systems, privacy and confidentiality are compromised when an
attacker learns the hash value of a file and gains access to the entire file from the server. For
example, Dropbox uses Secure Hash Algorithm 256 (SHA256) in a straightforward manner;
thus, it is possible for an attacker to obtain hashes for confidential files of others. Using the hash,
a hacker can easily download an unauthorized file from the server. A practical way for
performing this hack is demonstrated by the use of Dropship application programming interface
(API) utilities for Dropbox which allows a hacker to download confidential files of others from
Dropbox servers by obtaining the file hashes. This is comparatively easy to obtain, and exploiting
the weak client side deduplication technique that is applied [4]. Second, if an attacker can access
the server cache then all confidential hashes will be disclosed. Hence the attacker can make the
cloud storage service behave as a content distribution network (CDN) by publishing the hacked
hash values. In a case where the files hashes are published

Imagery Test Anxiety
Imagery Methods for Test Anxiety
Test anxiety has always been an issue I have struggled with and it has only increased since I started
University. My personal experience with test anxiety leads to physiological symptoms such as
nervous jitter, accelerated heart beats and light headedness, all of which impacts my test taking
skills and influence my decision making ability. This is a problem because although I am prepared
with the knowledge for an exam, it still affects my judgement when writing my answers and thus
causes an impact on my grades.
A study by Rebecca Stephens (1992), Imagery: A Treatment for Nursing Student Anxiety ,
explained imagery methods that were proven effective among nursing students experiencing similar
anxiety. Nursing students are subjected to midterms and exams as are students in other programs,
and although the material is different it is the fear before writing a test that causes the anxiety.
This makes it applicable to my specific situation because although I am a Human Kinetics major, I
am required to take exams in all of my classes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

scenarios the first one built the mind as a library with many books preparing you for success,
while the other allows you to retrieve information fast and efficiently, like a computer. The

U.s. Airline Carriers And Canada

Over the past three years, the number of Canadians crossing the border to take the advantage of
the cheaper U.S. airline carriers was increasing. The young adults from 18 24 years old led the
way with 32% have down so. Also, survey suggests that the residents from Ontario and British
Columbia were most frequent flyers from the U.S. airports with 23% of the respondents.
Canadians make up 88% of the customers at the Fall Airport. YVR and YWG are estimated to lose
nearly 1,000,000 and 250,000 passengers to the U.S. each year respectively. WestJet is affected by
this situation in the price battle. In order to keep its fares competitive, WestJet announced baggage

Essay on PSY Final
I discovered my grandfather had cancer. No matter how much I told myself he could live, that
he might not die, somehow I still felt there was no way for him to get better. He was so young,
only 63. He fought so hard. Whenever I feel my own life taking a turn for the worse, as if things
will never get better, I remember how many years he lived fighting such a scary and difficult
disease. The psychological stages that are typical during the grieving process are denial (The No,
not me stage), anger (The Why me? stage), bargaining (The If I do this, you ll do that stage),
depression (The It s really happened stage), and the acceptance (The This is what happened stage).

My grandpa was very accepting of what was happening, there wasn t really anything he can do
about it he just had do take it day by day. Overall, I d say the stage theory is pretty accurate and
realistic.
Question #2
My stage of development would be young adulthood. According to Erikson, the crisis I m
experiencing is intimacy vs. isolation which is learning to make personal commitment to another
s such as a spouse, parent or partner. The Intimacy vs. Isolation conflict is emphasized around the
ages of 20 to 34. I d say this stage is pretty accurate. This stage of development has a bunch stressors
and issues. In this stage of being an adult we seek one or more companions and love. As we try to
find mutually satisfying relationships, primarily through marriage and friends, we generally also
begin to start a family, though this age has been pushed back for many couples who today don t
start their families until their late thirties. If this stage is successful, we can experience intimacy
on a deep level. If we re not successful, isolation and distance from others may occur. And when
we don t find it easy to create satisfying relationships, our world can begin to shrink as, in defense,
we can feel superior to others. There s nothing really highlighting about what I m going through
with this stage of development. Everyone in the world will go through this stage; it s a part of life.
I really don t have to worry about the next developmental stage just yet; I still

There is a current 22 year old pop princess that hasn t been involved in the music industry for

This show lasted for four seasons before it was canceled. That show may have been finished, but
the character that she played was not. Grande starred in a spin off of Victorious called Sam Cat
which lasted only one season before ending in 2014. Grande has really made a name for herself in
less than two years. She signed a recording contract with a Major Record Deal, Republic
Records, and is under Scooter Braun Management (known for working with Justin Bieber, Tori
Kelly and The Black Eyed Peas.) Some argue over which is better: Major or Indie Label. Some
artists refuse to sign with a major record label because they want to do their music their own way
and on their own terms and without the restrictions that come with working with a major label.
Personally, I think that people signed to a Major Record Label have more access to larger
resources and people with more experience working in the music industry and with that comes
more success (because I m sure you have heard of all the people that I mentioned that belong to
that label.) Before becoming a music star, Grande just like every other artist drew inspiration from
other female vocalists. Ariana Grande has said she looked up to Imogen Heap, India Arie, Judy
Garland, Brandy, but most importantly, Whitney Houston. She has said Whitney holds such a

Reflection Of The Movie Remember This House
Surprisingly, I have not heard much about this movie, but the fact that this film was made using
only the words of an unfinished James Baldwin writing for a book entitled Remember This House
and that it was read by Samuel L. Jackson peaked my interest. The book was supposed to tell the
story of America through the lives of his three murdered friends, well known civil rights activists
Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Medgar Evers. To begin, I had no idea about James
Baldwin s relationship with Malcolm X and Medgar Evers, so I appreciated the way this film
gave me insight into that. Well, the only reason I know who Medgar Evers is was because he
was assassinated in the driveway of his home in Jackson, Mississippi the city where my mom
was born and where she and her family currently live. I also grew up learning about Malcolm X
in relation to Martin Luther King Jr. while James Baldwin was also mentioned for his role during
the Harlem Renaissance. It was really interesting to me to learn that James Baldwin was friends
with them considering their initial political differences in their approach to fighting for equal rights
and their thoughts about an end to segregation. Nevertheless, one of the main things I realized after
watching this film and taking this course, in general, was that a lot of the struggles African
Americans had to go through 50, 100, 200 years ago are still around today. I never thought that
racism went away when Obama was elected President,

Is It Ethical To Commit Suicide
Is it ethical to commit suicide? If you re having a bad time and you think you will not be able to

point of view? What makes us think that serenity and peace will come and embrace us if we take

is wrong or right, or under what circumstances could it be right?
Being the 10th leading cause of death in the United States, suicide has always been part of

The Impact Of Marketing On Consumer s Choice And Behavior...
Methodology Literature Review
Abdullah Almarzuqi

Introduction Consumer s decisions are mainly influenced by how well they know the product. The
appearance of the product too influences the consumer s choice and behavior. This makes the firms
to use branding as a way to increase customer s awareness on their products. Branding is tending to
be inevitable for the firms these days. Branding has a great influence on consumer s decisions.
Firms are getting a greater challenge to ensure that they continuously remain up to date when it
comes to different forms of advertisement and marketing strategies. This ensures that they acquire
consumer s loyalty, increase the market share of their brands and increase the volume of their
brands they sell. In my research, I will use interview as a methodology that I can use to get more
information from the consumers. I will use interviews to conduct research to come up with a
summary of how well branding impacts the decisions of a consumer. Branding can be defined as
packaging of a product in different ways so as attract more consumers by making it look more
appealing. It helps create a name, symbol or design of a product that differentiates it from the
others. The consumers can identify a product by its branding features. Interview is research
methodology that is used to acquire information from the respondents. It involves asking the

Jim Jarmusch Dead Man
It is preferable not to travel with a dead man Henri Michaux
Dead Man is a 1995 film written by and directed Jim Jarmusch. This film could be viewed as the
ideal version of an acid western with its psychedelic western theme. Jarmusch utilized throughout
the film the feeling of revisionist western by utilizing the darkness that looms in the film. A
revisionist western has the ideals and styles of traditional westerns with an underlying gloomy tone,
and at some points fascinating and captivating.
Jarmusch interprets the basics of an acid western in the film by illustrating and portraying the
journey of the fugitive William Blake and is disastrous journey from Machine to the west.

While not defined by ASC 740, practice has generally been to consider the most recent three
years when assessing cumulative losses. Positive evidence of sufficient quantity and quality
would be needed to overcome this significant negative evidence and conclude that a valuation
allowance is not warranted. As with all elements of available evidence, a cumulative loss is
simply one data point it is not a bright line test that is in and of itself determinative of the need
for a valuation allowance. To illustrate, assume that a company is in a three year cumulative
income position of $10 million, but the results of the past three years have flipped from income
to losses (2006: income of $100 million; 2007: loss of $30 million; 2008: loss of $60 million).
Does the fact that the company is still in a three year cumulative income position at the end of
2008 automatically suggest that a valuation allowance is not warranted? On the other hand,
assume a company had previously recorded a full valuation allowance and incurred a loss of $100

affirmation theoryand implementation intentions. The self affirmation theory was first introduced
by social psychologist Claude Steele in 1988. This theory states that people can reduce the impact
of attitude behavior discrepancy by focusing on and affirming their competency in some other
dimension unrelated to the discrepancy. A major component of this theory includes the notion that
people aren t motivated by their need to maintain a specific set of self images; but rather that
people are motivated to have a global sense of self integrity that includes a general perception of
their goodness, virtue, and efficacy. In other words, if an individual feels positive about one
domain in their life, they re willing to overlook and tolerate another domain that may be threatened.
Past research in cognitive dissonance mainly supported the idea that when our self integrity is
threatened we tend to rationalize defensively or distort reality, in order for our actions to be
consistent with our beliefs. But Steele

Every year you still march down that street with that stupid proud expression on your face, you
glorify the bloody wastefulness of that day? ? Act 2, Scene 3, The One Day of the Year. Hughie
(the son of the war veteran with the controversial ideas about the meaning of Anzac day) mentions
about the mistake that cost sixty thousand lives. The Anzacs were expecting to battle on large
plains and were trained to do so. Instead of finding the flat beach they expected, they found they
had been landed at an incorrect position and faced the steep cliffs of the Turkish Peninsula
constantly under fire from above as they strived to entrench themselves at the base of the cliff.
They faced a well organised, well armed, large Turkish force determined to defend their country.
Every year on the 25th of April Australia commemorates this mistake. It is remembered like it
was a victory but to many it is viewed as a waste of good men, young and old who died,
sacrificing everything for there country. The Soldiers who fought for their countries should in
some people?s opinion be viewed as heroes. They risked their life for the freedom of their
country. Some believe that the battle at Gallipoli was not Australia?s war and that we were
invading someone else?s countries for another countries cause. But what bravery the young soldiers
showed to do so. To represent their country and fight in a battle against seemingly impossible odds,
and die, and lose

The Importance Of Drama In Educational Drama
Research on dramatization activity may not always positively reported. In a non classroom setting,
Milburn and McGrail (1992) , conducted an experimental study to find whether a dramatic
presentations of news stories on TV influence the audiences ability and accuracy in receiving news.
They found that the exposure to the dramatized news stories significantly decreased participants
ability to recall the information from the stories and reduced the complexity of the news. The term
of dramaor dramatization in this context of study is used in negative sense . That is, dramatization
is used in reference to the ways TV stations exaggerate the presentation of the news for political or
rating benefits. Unlike Milburn and McGrail s study, this study will take the stance of drama or
dramatization activity as an intervention strategy in education that aims to foster students learning.
In 1934, John Dewey called for the urgency of involving creative expression and exploration in
U. S educational curriculum. Gallagher, et.al. (2017) noted that in and after that period of time,
literature in the United States started to emphasize the insertion of dramatic play or play based
improvisation as a key technique to situate students to express themselves creatively and develop
language and thinking skills, as well as for teachers to see the child s real self Gallagher, et.al., (

Human Nature In Gilgamesh
In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh was mostly divine but shared minimal characteristics of a god.
Such characteristics were bold physical structures and the strength of a wild bull which he inherited
from his mother, Ninsun, the cow goddess. Everything else such as his characteristics, mentality,
and actions mirrors ours, humans which makes him more like us than a god. His actions portray
the burden of the flawed human nature that we all carry such as being aggressive, competitive, and
running away from our fears.
Initially, Gilgamesh was known as the tortuous, accomplished, and competitive king of Uruk who
drove people out of their sanity and sought trouble. He frequently held competitions to determine
the mightiest of all in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, by agreeing to bet his life on the success of his quest, Gilgamesh reveals the desire
for being remembered by humans which are specified in the statement, I must set my hand to
cutting a cedar tree, I must establish eternal fame (II. 189 190). Being famous is not a necessity,
but a want. It s just the nature of human to not be satisfied with anything that we have.
Something deep inside us always desires for more. Gilgamesh was the king of Uruk, instead of
creating the reputation of a kind, considerate, generous king, he decided to slay a tremendous
monster and tried to impress others instead. It s the most common mistake that we humans
always make. We tend to be so busy impressing others and striving for their cheers with such
frequency, that we forget to be ourselves and think before we act.We often feel self conscious and
inferior to ourselves after we experience failure, which we fail to tolerate. Impressing others and
having the ought to be seen in a positive perspective is what makes us compete against one another
which might not always be morally right. Sometimes it s better to be the best together rather than
ruining relationships due to the consequence of proving to the world that you re finessed.
Gilgamesh harassing young girls and women of his kingdom implies that it s also an aspect of the
human nature to be aggressive and compel others to do something for their favor. Although we are

For equity, we use the short term treasury bills rate of 3.54% and for debt, we use the spread
between S P 500 composite returns and short term US Treasury bill returns of 6.77% (in exhibit
s 4 and 5 respectively). Our decision to use short term rates was based on the reasoning that the
assets related to the restaurant division had shorter useful lives and their debt was short term.
We calculated the return on equity and debt as 15.62% and 10.52% respectively (see appendix
1.6) Using these estimates and the levered beta, we calculate the restaurant division s WACC as
being 11.98%. (see appendix 1.7) Calculating Marriott s Contract Services Division WACC: The
Marriott s Corporation case study does not provide comparable company information for
contract services. Therefore, we use the firm s asset to calculate the unlevered equity for this
division. By weighting the assets of a division as a percentage of the total of Marriot s assets and
the unlevered beta s of Marriott and its divisions, we can treat the company as a portfolio of its
three divisions. Appendix 1.1 shows the calculation of the percentages (using Marriott s asset

The Logical Problem Of Evil Essay
In this paper I will discuss the logical problem of evil and how it seems to reject the existence of
God as an omni 3 being. I will first layout the logical problem of evil, and then I will explain why
it succeeds in disproving the existence of God. I do this through pointing out the contradictions
between the definition of Godas an omni 3 being and the problem of redeemed and unredeemed
evil. As well as by proving that admittance of evil in any way when in reference to the choices of
God invalidates the omni 3 definition of God. I will address claims from those who believe in God
about justification of evil as well as the concept and depth of human understanding.
The logical problem of evil is almost as old as the concept of an omni 3 being as the one true God.
God in this context being a mix of the Judeo Christian belief that God is the Greatest Conceivable
Being (GCB). Being the GCB implies 3 things: God is all good (Omnibenevolent), all knowing
(Omniscient), and all powerful (Omnipotent), this is commonly referred to as omni 3. This argument
boils down to a simple three part argument structure:
1. If God, as an omni 3 being, exists then evil can not exist at all.
2. Evil clearly exists.
3. As a result, God as omni 3 can not exist.
This is a very simple argument; premise, interference, implied contradiction, and a conclusion. It is
simply through an application of modus ponens that, some believe, we are able to disprove the
existence of God as an Omni 3 being.

Myiasis from Larvae and Pubic Lice
Myiasis (from the Greek myi , fly) is defined as the invasion of living tissue by dipterous larvae.
Several fly species such as Oestrus ovis have been reported to cause myiasis, affecting humans
either directly, when the female fly deposits the larvae on the conjunctiva or eyelids of a human
host rather than a sheep or a goat, or indirectly, through dirty hands. Ocular myiasis presentations
include external ophthalmomyiasis, when the larvae is found in the external ocular tissues, leading
to ocular surface disorders (conjunctivitis, punctuate keratitis) or pseudoorbital cellulitis, and
internal ophthalmomyiasis, a rare condition with a clinical course ranging from asymptomatic to
severe uveitis, retinal detachment and optic atrophy. Several methods of treatment have been
reported depending on the location of the larva. Management of external myiasis includes the
mechanical removal of the larvae in association with topical administration of steroids to reduce
conjunctival inflammation.(1) This may be a challenging maneuver, as the larva tends to firmly
attach to the ocular surface. Some authors recommend the use of topical anesthetic to loosen the
larval attachment.(2) Double eversion of the eyelids is mandatory to ensure that larvae have been
completely removed. Early removal decreases the potential of vision loss and larvae dissemination.
For subretinal larvae, argon laser photocoagulation has been used with successful results.

The Tuscaloosa Federal Courthouse was built in 2011 to replace the office styled federal building.
This new building mirrors the Greek revival styled widespread in government buildings in the

The Myth Of The Indian Creation Myth
There are many creation myths that have been told for hundreds of years that have served as an
explanation for how the world works. Each culture has a creation myth that is unique to them. India,
for example, has a creation myth that has been told for hundreds of years, and by examining the
myth, it is possible to understand what their culture values. The Indian creation mythis one of the
Puranas, or religious texts, within the Veda. According to Barry B. Powell, this myth may have
been told around A.D. 500 and was either written in a book or was passed down orally from
generation to generation (Powell 229). Now, there are print versions of the text, and there are
people who tell of this story orally. Who the very first person was to tell the myth or write it
down is unknown, but this myth has been read and told by people of India who believe in the
religious texts, which is the myth s intended audience. The reason why this myth was told was to
inspire the people of India directly with models for behavior and explanations for the way the
world is (Powell 223), and that is also a reason why this myth is still told even today. This myth
involves the ideas of light versus darkness, or good versus evil, along with the idea of destruction
and rebirth as well as karma that Hinduismis known for.
The story begins with Brahma, the god who creates the world. From him, the gods, demons,
ancestors, and humans were created. Demons were the first beings to be created because Brahma

Chesapeake Colonies 1700s
In the 1700s, the New England and Chesapeake regions were settled mostly by people from
similar English origin; however, by the 18th century, both developed into two distinct societies.
This was due to the different reasons for founding, different societal ideas and expectations, and
the vastly different economies that were set up because of the climate. The pilgrims were a group
of people who branched off from the puritans, who later became separatist, and came to the New
Englandcolonies seeking religious freedom and escape of persecution from England, whose ruling

Due to this, the families were tight nit and were educated so they could read scripture; education
was such an important factor in these colonies, so the literacy rates were high and famous colleges
like Harvard and the Massachusetts School Law were created. Their high standard of living and
long life expectancy also lead to a high population. Despite the high population, only church
members could vote at the town hall meetings, and so their laws were strongly tied to religion.
This was one of the stepping stones to democracy. Another stepping stone to democracy, which is
in the Chesapeake region, was the House of Burgesses. It was the first legislative body, although
only wealthy plantation owners were appointed into it. In this region, education was not as
important since most of the population was indentured servants, and neither was religion. Literacy
rate was rather low (so not many read the bible) and servants didn t have a long life expectancy;
they rarely lived past forty. Later, after the Boxer Rebellion, the plantation owners used African
slaves instead of indentured servants and brought in racism to keep further rebellions from
happening. The poor population also had no way to be educated, and only the wealthy had enough

money on a ticket to go watch a world famous comedian in an arena or a theater? I am not trying
to say that those shows are not fun and that those comedians do not deserve to have us go watch
them, they worked hard to get there. What I am saying is, that going to a comedy club setting is
a much more enjoyable experience. Instead of spending an arm and a leg on a ticket. You can
spend a fraction of the price and probably get friends to come along with you. It is so much
better to sit at a table full of friends instead of in a row in a cramped chair next to strangers. With
the money you saved, you and your friends can go out to eat before, and order more drinks at
your table at the show. There is not much better than getting dressed up and going out and having

fear of being picked on by the comedians on stage. I am here to tell you, that the vast majority of
comedians do not pick on the crowd. It is already hard enough to get a crowd there, why would
they make them not feel comfortable. They do however, interact with the crowd making the show
more inclusive. Something that you would not get at an arena or theater show, unless you buy

In Alice Munro s short story, Boys and Girls, the narrator, a young girl growing up on a fox farm

Bennett and Nicholas Boyle argue that, Literary texts call into question many of our essentialist
ideas about gender(183) and Munro s story is an example of how literature can help us question the
validity of gender essentialist thought. In this essay, I will argue that Munro s short story does
challenge common essentialist views on gender by exploring the way that society constructs and

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good NightFinn Andersson Dylan Thomas Do Not Go Gentle Into
That Good Night by Dylan Thomas explores death and how those facing it should fight for their
lives because death is a heartbreaking subject to him. The writer is addressing his father and
pleads him to resist the power of death as it would be devastating if the father was to die from the
writers perspective. Throughout the poem, Thomas writes about different traits of men. Some
aspects include wise, wild, good and grave which helps create a poem that covers all aspects of a
person. The first stanza is addressed to old men and how they should not simply slip away and die

Dying of the light is also a symbol for death. The second stanza is addressed to wise men who
know they cannot hide from death and it s inevitability. Poetic techniques used in this stanza are
metaphors, rhyme, symbols and repetition. The line words had forked no lightning is a
metaphor because words cannot actually fork lightning. This line suggests that the men hadn t
made an impact on the world, nor accomplished all they wanted to in life. Rhyming is also a
technique used in every line, right and night are rhyming words used, and they in the second
line rhymes with day in the previous stanza. So night , light and right rhyme, and day and they
rhyme, hence the ABA ABA rhyming pattern. The third poetic device used in the second stanza
is symbolism of dark in the first line, which represents death. Repetition of do not go gentle into
that good night is repeated every second stanza as the ending line, night in the final line also
symbolises death. The third stanza is addressed to good men who regret their choices in life and
think of how much they could have achieved, if they had only had lived longer. Poetic techniques
used in this stanza are personification, symbolism, repetition and rhyme. In the second line, we

as it preys on the mind of the detainee rather than the body. White torture embodies both emotional
and psychological torture. In lieu of inflicting physical pain upon the individual, sensory
deprivation and total isolation are used. The detainee is imprisoned in a room that is completely
white. There are no windows and the meals given are completely white. This torture tactic is
frequently employed by the Iranian government and the effects of this torture, while not physical,
are lifelong. On the opposing end of the spectrum, an example of physical torture is waterboarding.
Waterboarding is a form of torture in which water is poured over a cloth covering the face and
breathing passages of an immobilized captive, causing the individual to experience the sensation of
drowning. Torture is an extremely controversial topic in our society today. Foreign terror attacks
from groups such Al Qaeda and ISIS have thrust

An Buyer Owner Of The Land
Heidi
Heidi does not have a legal interest in Whitegates as Alex is the sole owner of the land. What must
be established is whether she has an equitable interest in Whitegates that will bind the purchaser
Molly.
The express creation of a trust is not the only method to create a trust. Trusts can be created by
the action of the landowner or by third parties. Heidi acquires an equitable interest in the land
under implied trust due to the deposit she made when Alex purchased the property (Williams
Glynn Bank v Boland (1981) AC 487). When this happens no formalities are imposed such as
registration of the interest (S. 53(2) Law of property Act 1925).
Having established that Heidi has an equitable interest in the property it must be determined how
this interest affects Molly s purchase of the property.
The Land Registration Act 2002 established three categories of third party interests. One of these
categories covers unregistered interests in land which are capable of overriding registered
dispositions such as the purchase of freehold. Heidi s circumstance would be relevant to this
category as her interest is unregistered.
In order to establish whether Heidi has an overriding interest in the property schedule three
paragraph 2 of the Land Registration Act 2002 must be satisfied.
Firstly there must be interest in the land. Heidi s equitable interest has been established by her
contribution to the purchase of the property.
Secondly, Heidi must be in actual occupation

Things Fall Apart By Solomon Northup
Solomon Northup executed his very gruesome and serious tone throughout his memoir by
providing dialogue said by real life people and using diction to give nauseating details to events
going on around him throughout his twelve years in bondage. For example, Solomon Northup
explains in chapter five how a fellow free slave named Arthur was abused for trying to protest the
unfair kidnapping. Solomon states, He fought until his strength failed him. Overpowered at last, he
was gagged and bound with ropes, and beaten, until he became insensible. (39). The slave masters
were not compassionate and defiantly enforced the depressing tone of the memoir. Solomon
Northup explains how Eliza, a slave mother, is being separated from her son and the cruel,

Summary Of Literacy, Discourse, And Linguistics
The author s main argument in Literacy, Discourse, and Linguistics is that the focus of literacy
studies or applied linguistics should be social practices (Discourse) rather than language. Many
people tend to think of language as perfect grammar , but language is about what you say, how
you say it, what you are, and do when you say something. Gee elaborates on this claim by
describing two responses of women in an interview that each show different dialect. Overall, the
saying doing being valuing believing combinations can be simplified as Discourse. Discourse is
an identity kit, or different ways in which one can be in the world. People acquire a primary
discourse early in life by interacting with family and those closer to them; this becomes

Examples Of Religion In Lord Of The Flies
Religion in Chaotic Societies Such as Brave New World and Lord of the Flies Differences
dominate the varying cultures and societies of the world. Differences appear everywhere, from
cultural norms to forms of government. Most, if not all civilizations rely on some form of
religion. Whether a society relies on a singular extraterrestrial force as a god, or many gods who
exist as one, each culture relies on religionto calm the chaotic nature of the world. The 20th
century novels, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, and Brave New Worldby Aldous Huxley,
both use the of Christ like archetypes, upon which societies depend when they fall into chaos, in
an attempt to calm the disarray of everyday reality. Human nature naturally gravitates towards a
religious figure when reality becomes overwhelming. Selflessness and sympathy build the
archetype of a Christ like figure. Christ like figures work to aid the society, demonstrating
selflessness and generosity. In Lord of the Flies, Simon remains selfless in the face of adversity.
While the other boys obsess and fight over hunting and fire, Simon helps take care of the littluns.
To the littluns, Simon acts as a Christ like figure: Simon found for them the fruit they could not
reach, pulled off the choicest from up in the foliage, passed them back down to the endless,
outstretched hands (Golding 56). Golding shows how Christ like figures demonstrate selflessness
to others, providing the best for other people rather than for

Why Mothers Come Back From The United States
It has been noticed across the United States that new mothers are returning back to work earlier,
rather than staying home on maternity leave for the approved 12 weeks. There have been many
reasons expressed as to why mothers come back to work only six weeks after having a child,
some of them astounding after seeing how we compare to the rest of the world. New mothers
feel the pressure at work and they will miss out on a job promotion since they were gone for a
marked period of time. Others are single parents and just cannot afford to stay at home without any
additional income. Even mothers that are married and the spouse has a steady income, this can still
be a factor as to why the mother would return to work early. Because they... Show more content on

Offering paid maternity leave is not only beneficial to the mother, but also to the company. I
would like to go over the following points: address the current Family and Medical Leave Act;
understand why maternity leave is important but also why it is better to offer this type of leave
paid; as well as show how the United States compares to the United Kingdom and Australia. The
Family and Medical Leave Act was first enacted in 1993 by President Bill Clinton. This act was
instituted to ensure that those that needed the time off could actually take the time off and still
have their job after returning from leave. The FMLA was started with many stipulations, most
that many are familiar with. First, FMLA offers up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave that ensures the
mother that their job is protected. The law also states that the associate applying for leave must
qualify to take advantage of FMLA. If the associate qualifies, this means they work for a covered
employer and must meet the following requirements: Has worked for the employer for at least 12
months; Has at least 1,250 hours of service for the employer during the 12 month period
immediately preceding the leave; [A]nd [w]orks at a location where the employer has at least 50
employees within 75 miles (United States Department of Labor). FMLA also states that this benefit

The Fifth Amendment was included in this final approval and ratification. History of the Fifth
Amendment As originally ratified it was unclear whether the Fifth Amendment applied only against
action taken by the federal government or if it also protected freedoms from state governmental
abuse. The Supreme Court answered this question in Barron v. City of Baltimore, 32 U.S. 243, 7
Pet. 243, 8 L.Ed. 672 (1833), when it ruled that the Fifth Amendment did not apply to the states.
This judgment settled the question until the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868. It
guaranteed the citizens of every state the right to EQUAL PROTECTION of the laws and the right
to due process of law. Following RATIFICATION of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Supreme
Court began making individual freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights applicable to the states
via the doctrine of incorporation. Under this doctrine the Court explained through a series of cases
that no state may deny any citizen a fundamental liberty without violating the Fourteenth
Amendment s Equal Protection and Due Process Clauses. The Court has ruled that these
fundamental liberties include every liberty set forth in the Bill of Rights, except the Second
Amendment s right to bear arms, the Third Amendment s right against quartering soldiers, the

Blackfeet Indians Argumentative Essay
Generally when one thinks of the American west their mind jumps to an image of untouched,
unspoiled land, such as the land that is represented by America s national parks. These tourist
destinations in the West showcase the history of our nation s land in a way that many people
assume is and has always been the reality, but although the natural beauty of these lands is
represented perhaps the beauty of the cultures that used to inhabit them is not. The Blackfeet
Indians once occupied a large portion of what is now Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana, but as the
Whiteman moved west and began to modernize, this sacred land was invaded. As a result of this
modernization the Blackfeet Indians were forced to assimilate into the modern white society. This

Relationships With The Mandans By Thomas Jefferson
Relationships with the Mandans
Thomas Jefferson had just expanded the United States territory immensely. This purchase was
known as the Louisiana Purchase, which is arguably the best decision in US history. All the new
land resulted in several unknown questions. Some of them were, what does this land provide,
what animals are out there, who can be found on this land? To answer some of these mysterious
questions Jefferson sent Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the Louisiana Purchase.
They also were sent to form learn and form relationships with the people all ready on the land they
are about to explore. One of their stops on their journey was at what now is known as Fort Mandan,
in Bismarck, North Dakota. Here is where Lewis and Clark s relationship with the Mandan tribe
was crucial because their next steps have never been explored by whites. Only the Indians knew
what the land looked like from North Dakota to the Pacific Ocean. The Mandan tribe was able to
show the explorers areas of the land that was just bought by the United States of America. Between
both the white explorers and the Mandan tribe they both benefited from their relationships they
formed over the winter months of 1804 because Lewis and Clark did not anticipate spending the
winter in North Dakota.
Seasons have changed and the Missouri river was starting to freeze over; this caused Lewis and
Clarks exploration to halt for the winter. The explorers were able to find a camping site on the North

Foils Of Fortinbras In Hamlet
A story would go nowhere without the characters making something happen. Characters are used
for everything in a story, they set the scene, make the plot happen, and everything inbetween.
Characterization is a major deal for writers because without proper characterization, the plot will
not be able to go the way they want it to. This is also a big factor for the play, Hamlet, by William
Shakespeare. He uses so many different characters to really push certain things to the audience,
and to make the reader understand it so well. The use of the foils, which is the use of two
completely opposite characters, in the play really helps get across the point that Shakespeare wants
to convey to the reader . Without the use of these foils, the play... Show more content on

Hamlet, who was not quick to avenge his father s death, was quick to many other actions, and
Horatio was a lot more guarded on what he thought Hamlet should do. Without Horatio, no one
would have been watching out for Hamlet, Horatio was used to be an example of just how cautious

Criticism In Voltaire s Candide
Candide is Voltaire s most known literary work and most extensively read pieces of literature in
French. His philosophical tale is a means to portray his ideas. Simultaneously, amuse his readers
with satirical wit and ironical innuendo. Candide (the name refers to frankness and purity) is the
main character in the tale. The philosophical idea embodies optimism that is opposed by Voltaires
intend.
The directing force of the journey in this novel is Candide s love for CunГ©gonde. He goes to
irrational lengths to chase his love which includes deserting paradise of El Dorado, numerous
murders, and barely avoiding imprisonment and death sentence, mocked by the realism that once he
can get married to CunГ©gonde, he is no longer fascinated to her. ... Show more content on

The readers comes across the daughter of a Pope; a Catholic priest must be celibate; a powerful
Catholic interrogator who deceitfully keeps a mistress; and a Franciscan friar who is an
ornament thief, despite the testament of poverty taken by members of the Franciscan order.
Finally, Voltaire presents a Jesuit colonel with homosexual tendencies. Religious leaders carry
out coldhearted campaigns of religious suppression against those who vary with them on even
the minimum of religious matters. For example, Pangloss s study tyrannizes him for stating his
ideas and Candide for just presence of them. Voltaire inscribes about public oppression of
heretics. Persecution itself is opposing to Christian principles. Moreover, it seems like the
Inquisition is looking for people to persecute. After the earthquake, Pangloss tries to comfort the
victims by saying, this is all for the supreme...and if there is a volcano under Lisbon, then it can t
be found anywhere else; as it is impossible for things to be anywhere than where they are. So, all
is well (14). Though Pangloss purpose may be perplexing, nowhere do we see him saying anything
unorthodox in this statement. Inquisition overhears Pangloss and put his words to be a stab at the
Church. He accuses Pangloss that he do not believe in Original Sin at all. Therefore, Pangloss is

Band of Brothers Analysis and Summary Essay
There are few companies in the 101st Airborne that achieved the status the men of Easy
Company would gain during their career in World War II. From the making of formation of the
company at Camp Toccoa, in Georgia, the men of Easy Company were destined to impact the
course of the war. They became legends in American military history with their acts of bravery and
heroics they showed in the face of the German army. From Normandy to Hitler s Eagle s Nest, their
fame grew with each great mission they accomplished. The generations that would follow respected
the uniform they wore, and the company s comradeship grew deeper than a normal soldier s
companionship would in a war with his fellow man. Throughout the book, Stephen Ambrose,

We went to the top of Currahee and back with a couple of ambulances following, and men
vomiting spaghetti everywhere along the way . These were the words of Easy Company
member Sargent Tripper and the brutal training by Sobel which that took place on that day.
Another case that proved Ambrose s argument the Easy Company was the best company in the
Airborne s was Sobel s determination to see them as the best company; demonstrated by some of
the drills and inspections he would do with the men. Ambrose stated there were many times
before and after a run, Sobel would instruct the company to dump all the water from their
canteens. This was to build the company s endurance to prepare them for fighting. To teach the
men of the company self discipline when inspecting the troops in the company Sobel would
inspect with detail. If the smallest article of clothing was out of place or wrinkled, he would deny
the troops a weekend pass. However, while doing this Sobel was only preparing the men to become
the best fighting force to take on the tyranny of the Nazis in Europe. Another argument in Stephen
Ambrose s Band of Brothers was the assignment of the hardest and toughest missions in the
European Theater in World War II for the men of Easy Company. The stress in training was
followed by the stress in Normandy by drawing the key combat mission for gaining control of
Utah Beach. In combat your next reward for a good job done is that you get in the

Performance Appraisal and Employee Motivation
1.1. INTRODUCTION: Organization is run and steered by people. It is through people that
goals are set and objectives are realized. Today s working culture demands a great deal of
commitment and effort from the employees, who in turn naturally expect a great deal more from
their employers. The development of much more participative style of management in many
organizations is a positive step towards meeting such heightened expectations. This participative
style can be expressed in a variety of practical ways. For e.g.: work teams, quality circles, and of
course regular performance appraisals. The performance of the organization is dependent on sum
total of the performance of its employees. Thus the success of... Show more content on

existence of an appraisal program indicates to an employee that in the organization is genuinely
interested in their individual performance and development. This alone can have a positive
influence on the employee motivation, sense of worth, commitment and belonging. The strength
and prevalence of this natural human desire for individual recognition shouldn t be overlooked.
Absenteeism and turnover rates in some organizations might be greatly reduced if more attention
were paid to it. Regular performance appraisal, at least, is a good start. In an organization it is
necessary to measure the performance of their employees and success of any organization can
almost always be tracked back to the level of motivation among its employees. So the study was
done to measure the impact of motivation after performance appraisal.

evaluate the employee performance. It is needed for an organization to take decision regarding

Nebuchadnezzar s Portrayal In The Book Of Daniel
Nebuchadnezzar is widely known through his portrayal in the Bible, especially the Book of
Daniel. The Bible discusses events of his reign and his conquest of Jerusalem. Daniel 2 contains
an account attributed to the second year of his reign, in which Nebuchadnezzar dreams of a huge
image made of various materials (gold, silver, bronze, iron and clay). The prophet Daniel tells him
Gods interpretation, that it stands for the rise and fall of world powers, starting with
Nebuchadnezzar s own as the golden head.
Daniel 3 is an account of Nebuchadnezzar erecting a large idol made of gold for worship during a

  • 3. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, And Hinduism Many religions are practiced throughout the world. The most common ones are l Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Each of these have their own views, preachers and followers. Every religion is independently known because of its distinguishing holy being and god to be worshipped. Religions give their followers the particular strategies and rules in which to lead their lives. These rules and strategies give the distinctive identity to the followers of the particular religion. The religion assists the followers in improving and making better the sense of the world in which they are spending their lives. Thus religion gives their followers the particular way and teachings to follow in order to guide their lives. In today s multicultural societies there is cold war among people because of religion issues. The way religions are interpreted and practiced makes for significant changes and distinctions. However it is also the matter of fact that each religion wants the people of other religions to accept and adopt their religions because all religions believe that their religion is the greatest religion in the world. Though all the religions give the specific and distinctive teachings and have the different beliefs and characteristics, still each religion gives the teachings of humanity and love with the mankind. • 4. Stereotypes In Half A Yellow Sun There are billions of people on the earth. In America alone, there are over 300 million people. Because there are so many people it becomes easier to stereotype people and base our judgments of them off these categories. The world views every race, gender, religion, etc. in a generalized way. Common misconceptions are: all white Americans are obese and lazy, all Mexicans are lazy and illegal immigrants, all Arabs and Muslims are terrorists, all blacks outside of the United States are poor, women are not as smart as men, girls are not good at sports, all blondes are unintelligent, and many more (Stereotypeexamples). These general ideas are very dangerous when we look at the interconnectedness of the world. When people start to judge others based on stereotypes they have decided are true the entire population suffers. Obviously not all Americans are obese and lazy, not all Mexicans who immigrated to America are illegally here, not all Muslims are terrorists, not all blacks are impoverished, men are not always smarter than women, girls can be good at sports, and there are blondes who are smart. By pigeonholing people into these categories the world is losing valuable... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Half of a Yellow Sun the southern Christians grouped all northern Muslims as deplorable monsters who only wanted to kill them. By concluding this they ignored the aid some northerners gave them. Adichie herself has been on both sides of stereotyping and her characters reflect this by also having this experience. Reducing people to only a single idea eliminates some of the talents they possess and leave the world lacking needed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

National Art Gallery aims to display to the world some of the local artwork, hosts seminars, workshops and competitions in the local and international arena to promote the appreciation of the arts by the younger generation. Each building has its own concept which defines what kind of design it used. The roof design of the National Art Gallery adopted the combination of aluminium rainscreen cladding with curtain wall system. The following will briefly discuss on the system used: в–єAluminium Rainscreen Cladding Rainscreen cladding is a lightweight and durable panelling system that consists of an outer leaf with air gaps, a ventilated cavity and an inner wall. The cavity is to generate pressure to impede the ingress of water through the open joints. The open joints between is to permit air movement for drying out the moisture that gets through the joints. • 6. The Art Of Racing In The Rain Rhetorical Analysis The Art of Racing in the Tears The Art of Racing in the Rain is a novel written in the point of view of an intelligent dog named Enzo. The unique point of view of this novel is what makes it so entertaining and easy to read. Specific scenes that show how Enzo transcends scenes include the zebra scene. Another is when Enzo kills the squirrel. The last is Enzo s dying scene. In the Art of Racing in the Rain, Garth Stein manipulates his style by writing through the unusual point of view of a dog named Enzo, which transcends an ordinary scene into an extraordinary scene, by using specific syntax, diction, and the unique point of view of Enzo. As Enzo was left to starve and hallucinate he encountered the evil zebra. The now living zebra said nothing to me at all, but when it saw me it began to dance, a twisting, jerky ballet which, culminated with the zebra repeatedly thrusting its gelded groin into the face of an innocent Barbie doll. That made me quite angry, and I growled at the molester zebra, but it simply smiled and continue its assault, this time picking on a stuffed frog, which it mounted from behind and rode bareback it s hoof in the air like a bronco rider, yelling out Yee haw! Yee haw! (53). In this passage Enzo witnesses a horrific sight, but if told by through a different point of view, the scene would seem very different. In reality Enzo was seeing illusions but what was really happening was Enzo tearing up a little girl s stuffed animal. Because this scene was told through the point of view of Enzo the scene really enticed the reader and pulled in their attention. Stein used word choice such as molester zebra and gelded groin to simulate a nightmarish scene. Stein also writes his sentences in a way that makes the audience read in a rapid yet fearful way by using syntax. Examples of this are the excessive use of commas and short/easy pronounceable words. The now living zebra said nothing to me at all....into the face of an innocent Barbie doll . Because of Enzo s genuine fear and anxiety, this scene is transformed into an exciting, fearful scene because it is told through the point of view of Enzo. Another scene where the perspective Enzo provides changes a scene is when he kills the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The idea of women, such as those in the story can be maintained through Shahrazad retelling their dignity is amazing. Although Muslim women called back seat in their daily lives, we cannot ignore them exude wisdom and strength. At that time, women are acting like they are considered property. Thus, the concept of Shahrazad is liberation of oppressed women and continues to inspire the women for the next generations. The last important story of the lass is The Tale of Genji. For Genji s love relationships, there are two basic assessments. First, set up a few centuries is still in current accepted repeatedly considered by the narrator himself, Genji is all but irresistible to the effect; but he never gave up and he established ties to any woman. These are compelling or admirable qualities, and Genji is often praised for men and women as an ideal. However, the reactions to such ideas have been set recently in North America, Japan, and elsewhere with no doubt. The first thing in the story about the relations of gender is that they are humane means. No trace of physical violence against women, there does not have any unreasonable insistence purity, chastity, so on. Men expected women to ignore a lot of things but maybe they also do their best to reciprocate. However, men of the story certainly dominate their world. • 8. The World Trade Center Buildings Numerous reasons and possibilities circulate through out the world as to if the United States government had ties to the happenings on September 11th, 2001. Evidence to dispute 9/11 being an inside job quickly began to go viral, especially on the Internet. False flag terrorism became a widely debated topic to go along with the conspiracies. Theorists believe that bombs demolished the World Trade CenterBuildings, the phone calls from the planes were a hoax, or George W. Bush who was the current president at the time financially benefited discreetly from the attacks (NewsOne Staff 2012) As a final point, there is evidence to believe the United States government had responsibility in the attacks that took place in 2001. Right before the terroristic effects of September 11th, unknown investors allegedly used foresight of the 9/11 tragedies events to scam on many markets globally including but not limited to an astounding amount of put options placed to belittle the same airlines hijacked during the attacks (NewsOne Staff), and WTC tenants and re insurance companies based in Chicago and London. • 10. Network Bandwidth And Data Upload Time Though client side deduplication brings in advantages such as reduction of network bandwidth and data upload time, several security threats are associated with it. These threats have to be addressed in order to reap the full potential of client side deduplication. Halevi et al. [3] identified various threats that affect a remote storage system that implements client side deduplication. First, in traditional storage systems, privacy and confidentiality are compromised when an attacker learns the hash value of a file and gains access to the entire file from the server. For example, Dropbox uses Secure Hash Algorithm 256 (SHA256) in a straightforward manner; thus, it is possible for an attacker to obtain hashes for confidential files of others. Using the hash, a hacker can easily download an unauthorized file from the server. A practical way for performing this hack is demonstrated by the use of Dropship application programming interface (API) utilities for Dropbox which allows a hacker to download confidential files of others from Dropbox servers by obtaining the file hashes. This is comparatively easy to obtain, and exploiting the weak client side deduplication technique that is applied [4]. Second, if an attacker can access the server cache then all confidential hashes will be disclosed. Hence the attacker can make the cloud storage service behave as a content distribution network (CDN) by publishing the hacked hash values. In a case where the files hashes are published ... • 11. Imagery Test Anxiety Imagery Methods for Test Anxiety Test anxiety has always been an issue I have struggled with and it has only increased since I started University. My personal experience with test anxiety leads to physiological symptoms such as nervous jitter, accelerated heart beats and light headedness, all of which impacts my test taking skills and influence my decision making ability. This is a problem because although I am prepared with the knowledge for an exam, it still affects my judgement when writing my answers and thus causes an impact on my grades. A study by Rebecca Stephens (1992), Imagery: A Treatment for Nursing Student Anxiety , explained imagery methods that were proven effective among nursing students experiencing similar anxiety. Nursing students are subjected to midterms and exams as are students in other programs, and although the material is different it is the fear before writing a test that causes the anxiety. This makes it applicable to my specific situation because although I am a Human Kinetics major, I am required to take exams in all of my classes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He was so young, only 63. He fought so hard. Whenever I feel my own life taking a turn for the worse, as if things will never get better, I remember how many years he lived fighting such a scary and difficult disease. The psychological stages that are typical during the grieving process are denial (The No, not me stage), anger (The Why me? stage), bargaining (The If I do this, you ll do that stage), depression (The It s really happened stage), and the acceptance (The This is what happened stage). My grandpa was very accepting of what was happening, there wasn t really anything he can do about it he just had do take it day by day. Overall, I d say the stage theory is pretty accurate and realistic. Question #2 My stage of development would be young adulthood. According to Erikson, the crisis I m experiencing is intimacy vs. isolation which is learning to make personal commitment to another s such as a spouse, parent or partner. The Intimacy vs. Isolation conflict is emphasized around the ages of 20 to 34. I d say this stage is pretty accurate. This stage of development has a bunch stressors and issues. In this stage of being an adult we seek one or more companions and love. As we try to find mutually satisfying relationships, primarily through marriage and friends, we generally also begin to start a family, though this age has been pushed back for many couples who today don t start their families until their late thirties. If this stage is successful, we can experience intimacy on a deep level. If we re not successful, isolation and distance from others may occur. And when we don t find it easy to create satisfying relationships, our world can begin to shrink as, in defense, we can feel superior to others. There s nothing really highlighting about what I m going through with this stage of development. Everyone in the world will go through this stage; it s a part of life. I really don t have to worry about the next developmental stage just yet; I still ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She signed a recording contract with a Major Record Deal, Republic Records, and is under Scooter Braun Management (known for working with Justin Bieber, Tori Kelly and The Black Eyed Peas.) Some argue over which is better: Major or Indie Label. Some artists refuse to sign with a major record label because they want to do their music their own way and on their own terms and without the restrictions that come with working with a major label. Personally, I think that people signed to a Major Record Label have more access to larger resources and people with more experience working in the music industry and with that comes more success (because I m sure you have heard of all the people that I mentioned that belong to that label.) Before becoming a music star, Grande just like every other artist drew inspiration from other female vocalists. Reflection Of The Movie Remember This House Surprisingly, I have not heard much about this movie, but the fact that this film was made using only the words of an unfinished James Baldwin writing for a book entitled Remember This House and that it was read by Samuel L. Jackson peaked my interest. The book was supposed to tell the story of America through the lives of his three murdered friends, well known civil rights activists Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Medgar Evers. To begin, I had no idea about James Baldwin s relationship with Malcolm X and Medgar Evers, so I appreciated the way this film gave me insight into that. Well, the only reason I know who Medgar Evers is was because he was assassinated in the driveway of his home in Jackson, Mississippi the city where my mom was born and where she and her family currently live. I also grew up learning about Malcolm X in relation to Martin Luther King Jr. while James Baldwin was also mentioned for his role during the Harlem Renaissance. It was really interesting to me to learn that James Baldwin was friends with them considering their initial political differences in their approach to fighting for equal rights and their thoughts about an end to segregation. Nevertheless, one of the main things I realized after watching this film and taking this course, in general, was that a lot of the struggles African Americans had to go through 50, 100, 200 years ago are still around today. I never thought that racism went away when Obama was elected President, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Methodology Literature Review Abdullah Almarzuqi Central Michigan University Introduction Consumer s decisions are mainly influenced by how well they know the product. In my research, I will use interview as a methodology that I can use to get more information from the consumers. I will use interviews to conduct research to come up with a summary of how well branding impacts the decisions of a consumer. It helps create a name, symbol or design of a product that differentiates it from the others. The consumers can identify a product by its branding features. Researchers would want to see if goal intention would increase a positive behavior change, and for the purpose of this experiment, the behavior change in question would be an increase in exercise. To understand the purpose of this proposed experiment and to make an accurate prediction of the results, one must first understand the two theories being test: the self affirmation theoryand implementation intentions. The self affirmation theory was first introduced by social psychologist Claude Steele in 1988. This theory states that people can reduce the impact of attitude behavior discrepancy by focusing on and affirming their competency in some other dimension unrelated to the discrepancy. A major component of this theory includes the notion that people aren t motivated by their need to maintain a specific set of self images; but rather that people are motivated to have a global sense of self integrity that includes a general perception of their goodness, virtue, and efficacy. In other words, if an individual feels positive about one domain in their life, they re willing to overlook and tolerate another domain that may be threatened. Past research in cognitive dissonance mainly supported the idea that when our self integrity is threatened we tend to rationalize defensively or distort reality, in order for our actions to be consistent with our beliefs. The Anzacs were expecting to battle on large plains and were trained to do so. Gilgamesh was the king of Uruk, instead of creating the reputation of a kind, considerate, generous king, he decided to slay a tremendous monster and tried to impress others instead. • 28. The Logical Problem Of Evil Essay In this paper I will discuss the logical problem of evil and how it seems to reject the existence of God as an omni 3 being. I will first layout the logical problem of evil, and then I will explain why it succeeds in disproving the existence of God. I do this through pointing out the contradictions between the definition of Godas an omni 3 being and the problem of redeemed and unredeemed evil. As well as by proving that admittance of evil in any way when in reference to the choices of God invalidates the omni 3 definition of God. I will address claims from those who believe in God about justification of evil as well as the concept and depth of human understanding. The logical problem of evil is almost as old as the concept of an omni 3 being as the one true God. God in this context being a mix of the Judeo Christian belief that God is the Greatest Conceivable Being (GCB). Being the GCB implies 3 things: God is all good (Omnibenevolent), all knowing (Omniscient), and all powerful (Omnipotent), this is commonly referred to as omni 3. This argument boils down to a simple three part argument structure: 1. If God, as an omni 3 being, exists then evil can not exist at all. 2. Evil clearly exists. 3. As a result, God as omni 3 can not exist. This is a very simple argument; premise, interference, implied contradiction, and a conclusion. It is simply through an application of modus ponens that, some believe, we are able to disprove the existence of God as an Omni 3 being. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Several fly species such as Oestrus ovis have been reported to cause myiasis, affecting humans either directly, when the female fly deposits the larvae on the conjunctiva or eyelids of a human host rather than a sheep or a goat, or indirectly, through dirty hands. Ocular myiasis presentations include external ophthalmomyiasis, when the larvae is found in the external ocular tissues, leading to ocular surface disorders (conjunctivitis, punctuate keratitis) or pseudoorbital cellulitis, and internal ophthalmomyiasis, a rare condition with a clinical course ranging from asymptomatic to severe uveitis, retinal detachment and optic atrophy. Several methods of treatment have been reported depending on the location of the larva. Management of external myiasis includes the mechanical removal of the larvae in association with topical administration of steroids to reduce conjunctival inflammation.(1) This may be a challenging maneuver, as the larva tends to firmly attach to the ocular surface. Some authors recommend the use of topical anesthetic to loosen the larval attachment.(2) Double eversion of the eyelids is mandatory to ensure that larvae have been completely removed. Early removal decreases the potential of vision loss and larvae dissemination. For subretinal larvae, argon laser photocoagulation has been used with successful results. Gender Essentialism In Boys And Girls By Alice Munro In Alice Munro s short story, Boys and Girls, the narrator, a young girl growing up on a fox farm who is coming of age and is thus forced to conform to societies expectations of women. Andrew Bennett and Nicholas Boyle argue that, Literary texts call into question many of our essentialist ideas about gender(183) and Munro s story is an example of how literature can help us question the validity of gender essentialist thought. In this essay, I will argue that Munro s short story does challenge common essentialist views on gender by exploring the way that society constructs and imposes gender roles on her characters, particularly the young narrator; and by analyzing the symbolic relationship between the narrator and the mare named Flora.... Munro writes, These stories were about myself, when I had grown a little older, they took place in a world that was recognizably mine, yet one that presented opportunities for courage, boldness, and self sacrifice, as mine never did. But as her personality is molded by her family who criticize her masculine traits and encourage feminine ones instead, the change is reflected in her dreams. They change, and instead her dreams focus on her no longer being the hero but rather being the beautiful damsel in distress. This is shown in this quote, A story might start off int he old way, with a spectacular danger, a fire or wold animals, and for a while i might rescue people; the things would change around, and instead, somebody would be rescuing me, and, At this point the story concerned itself at great length with what I looked like how long my hair was, and what kind of dress i had ... Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good NightFinn Andersson Dylan Thomas Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas explores death and how those facing it should fight for their lives because death is a heartbreaking subject to him. The writer is addressing his father and pleads him to resist the power of death as it would be devastating if the father was to die from the writers perspective. Throughout the poem, Thomas writes about different traits of men. Some aspects include wise, wild, good and grave which helps create a poem that covers all aspects of a person. The first stanza is addressed to old men and how they should not simply slip away and die quietly, they should fight death until the end. Poetic techniques... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Poetic techniques used in this stanza are metaphors, rhyme, symbols and repetition. The line words had forked no lightning is a metaphor because words cannot actually fork lightning. This line suggests that the men hadn t made an impact on the world, nor accomplished all they wanted to in life. Rhyming is also a technique used in every line, right and night are rhyming words used, and they in the second line rhymes with day in the previous stanza. So night , light and right rhyme, and day and they rhyme, hence the ABA ABA rhyming pattern. The third poetic device used in the second stanza is symbolism of dark in the first line, which represents death. Repetition of do not go gentle into that good night is repeated every second stanza as the ending line, night in the final line also symbolises death. The third stanza is addressed to good men who regret their choices in life and think of how much they could have achieved, if they had only had lived longer. • 41. Persuasive Essay On Torture In History The use of brute force and psychological manipulation to obtain information from detainees is known as torture. Considered to be one of the most common interrogation methods, this barbaric craft has been practiced in different cultures throughout history. Ranging from physical assault to white torture, torture takes many forms. Although widely practiced, this illegal, immoral, and ineffective method has no bearing in America. Countless torture methods have been used throughout history. One especially prevalent form is white torture, this method is especially cruel as it preys on the mind of the detainee rather than the body. White torture embodies both emotional and psychological torture. In lieu of inflicting physical pain upon the individual, sensory deprivation and total isolation are used. The detainee is imprisoned in a room that is completely white. There are no windows and the meals given are completely white. This torture tactic is frequently employed by the Iranian government and the effects of this torture, while not physical, are lifelong. On the opposing end of the spectrum, an example of physical torture is waterboarding. Waterboarding is a form of torture in which water is poured over a cloth covering the face and breathing passages of an immobilized captive, causing the individual to experience the sensation of drowning. • 42. An Buyer Owner Of The Land Heidi Heidi does not have a legal interest in Whitegates as Alex is the sole owner of the land. What must be established is whether she has an equitable interest in Whitegates that will bind the purchaser Molly. The express creation of a trust is not the only method to create a trust. Trusts can be created by the action of the landowner or by third parties. Heidi acquires an equitable interest in the land under implied trust due to the deposit she made when Alex purchased the property (Williams Glynn Bank v Boland (1981) AC 487). When this happens no formalities are imposed such as registration of the interest (S. 53(2) Law of property Act 1925). Having established that Heidi has an equitable interest in the property it must be determined how this interest affects Molly s purchase of the property. The Land Registration Act 2002 established three categories of third party interests. One of these categories covers unregistered interests in land which are capable of overriding registered dispositions such as the purchase of freehold. Heidi s circumstance would be relevant to this category as her interest is unregistered. In order to establish whether Heidi has an overriding interest in the property schedule three paragraph 2 of the Land Registration Act 2002 must be satisfied. Firstly there must be interest in the land. Heidi s equitable interest has been established by her contribution to the purchase of the property. Secondly, Heidi must be in actual occupation ... Differences appear everywhere, from cultural norms to forms of government. Most, if not all civilizations rely on some form of religion. Whether a society relies on a singular extraterrestrial force as a god, or many gods who exist as one, each culture relies on religionto calm the chaotic nature of the world. The 20th century novels, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, and Brave New Worldby Aldous Huxley, both use the of Christ like archetypes, upon which societies depend when they fall into chaos, in an attempt to calm the disarray of everyday reality. Human nature naturally gravitates towards a religious figure when reality becomes overwhelming. Selflessness and sympathy build the archetype of a Christ like figure. Christ like figures work to aid the society, demonstrating selflessness and generosity. In Lord of the Flies, Simon remains selfless in the face of adversity. While the other boys obsess and fight over hunting and fire, Simon helps take care of the littluns. This judgment settled the question until the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868. Following RATIFICATION of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Supreme Court began making individual freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights applicable to the states via the doctrine of incorporation.
