R.D. Sivakumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College in Sivakasi, India. A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 2. DATE ARITHMETIC Manual date calculations can be tricky because you have to keep track of the number of days in a month. In spreadsheets, date calculations become very simple. Here you can add a number to a date and arrive at a new date, find the difference between two dates and use a wide variety of function and formats to get what you want. For example, enter a date 03/04/05 in a cell, say A2. Remember that while entering dates the month always comes first. Suppose you want to calculate the date 79 days after this date. To do so, enter the formula, = A2 + 79, in another cell, say A4. The date 05/22/05 appears in the cell. Now, suppose you want to calculate the difference between two dates, 05/10/05 and 12/8/70. To do so, enter the two dates in two different cells. In a third cell enter the formula = first cell – second cell. The result will be displayed as 12572.
