This document summarizes work done to improve the performance of the UATIMNG database. Data was collected before and after implementation to measure performance. The mean query execution time was reduced from 192.7 seconds to 15 seconds, and standard deviation was reduced from 5.47 seconds to 1.50 seconds. Control charts and statpack reports were used to monitor performance. The client approved the work and benefits included more effective resource utilization, better response times, and estimated annual savings of 9735 GBP. Monitoring of database objects and performance metrics will continue.
