It is important to make architecture accessible in a good way so that it is accessible to all target groups as much as possible. At the same time, architectural languages such as ArchiMate are not fully focused on this. In addition, they are actually too abstract. You cannot express exactly enough what you are trying to model and the resulting model is open to several interpretations. Linked Data fits in well with these objectives and makes it easier to define and unlock more accessible and more targeted information.
In this presentation Danny Greefhorst will tell more about the motivation behind the idea, but also show a further elaboration. For example, he has made a mapping of ArchiMate to commonly used Linked Data vocabularies. He also made a demonstrator, in which you can see how you can define, enrich and publish ArchiMate models as Linked Data. He will also discuss how the European reference architecture EIRA is available as Linked Data.

Understanding can and should however start in an earlier phase, and should not require formal models since this creates a gap between modelers and subject matter experts. They sit in a sweet spot between a glossary of terms and a formal conceptual

Organisaties worden geconfronteerd met allerlei ontwikkelingen waar snel op ingesprongen moet worden. Dit stelt hoge eisen aan digitalisering en als gevolg ervan aan software-ontwikkeling. Agile en DevOps zijn tegenwoordig uitgangspunt en vragen ook een andere aanpak van testen. Testautomatisering is daarbij een kernonderdeel, zeker als software ook dagelijks geïntegreerd en geleverd wordt. Een valkuil daarbij is dat testautomatisering vooral vanuit de techniek wordt aangevlogen en er geen aandacht is voor een duurzame inrichting. Uiteindelijk leidt dit tot teleurstelling.
In het boek beschrijven de auteurs een nieuw perspectief op testautomatisering, waarbij wendbaarheid en toekomstvastheid centraal staan. Zij stellen dat aandacht voor herbruikbaarheid, overdraagbaarheid en herhaalbaarheid essentieel is. Daarnaast is de boodschap dat testautomatisering vanuit een architectuurbenadering moet worden aangepakt. Dat betekent dat er ruimte wordt gemaakt om de inrichting van testautomatisering te doordenken en de daarbij behorende keuzes vast te leggen. Het betekent ook dat vanuit verschillende perspectieven wordt gekeken naar het onderwerp: vanuit mens, organisatie, proces, data en technologie.

Deze presentatie geeft een overzicht van het rapport over gegevenskwaliteit dat is opgesteld in het kader van de Omgevingswet en de stappen die zijn gezet.
Er zijn allerlei routes om de kwaliteit van data te verbeteren. Het is belangrijk dat je een route kiest die aansluit bij de concrete doelen en problemen in je eigen context. Deze routekaart laat een aantal veelvoorkomende routes zien.
De Omgevingswet heeft als ambitie dat iedereen meer inzicht krijgt in de leefomgeving en de regels die daarin gelden. Dit stelt eisen aan de kwaliteit van informatie over de leefomgeving. De presentatie laat zien wat gegevenskwaliteit is en hoe je dat kunt beschrijven. In de bijbehorende workshop is een gezamenlijke verkenning uitgevoerd naar wat je zou willen zien als afnemer in de bijsluiter (metadata).

Presentatie over wat de essentie is van enterprise-architectuur zoals gehouden op het seminar Thinking outside the model op 9 mei 2018 bij de Radboud Universiteit. Kernboodschappen zijn dat agile en enterprise-architectuur een prima combinatie zijn en dat het belangrijk is om eerst intenties en de werkelijkheid te begrijpen, voordat ontwerpkeuzes worden gemaakt.
We zijn gewend uit te gaan van een maakbare wereld; wat je erin stopt komt er ook uit. Door snelle veranderingen en globalisering neemt de complexiteit van vraagstukken echter toe. Het is vrijwel onmogelijk geworden om alles nog te overzien. We moeten accepteren dat het niet meer mogelijk is om alle relevante kennis te verzamelen voordat keuzes worden gemaakt. De werkelijkheid blijkt altijd net weer iets anders te zijn. De kunst is op een goede manier met deze onzekerheid om te gaan. Dit vraagt vooral een combinatie van creatief en kritisch denken.
De Omgevingswet is een belangrijke vernieuwing voor zowel burgers als voor de overheid. Het zorgt ervoor dat iedereen meer inzicht krijgt in de leefomgeving en de regels die daarin gelden. Stage 1: Data Preparation and Discovery
This is the stage most of the existing augmented analytics technologies are in. Key players include IBM Watson Analytics, Tableau Insights, and Qlik Sense.
At this stage, augmented analytics algorithms serve as a great complement to existing data scientists or analysts, but does not have the ability to completely substitute them.
Here, the algorithm’s primary purpose is to automate boring data preparation tasks such as data cleaning, data labeling, and data collection.
It may be able to detect some correlations and anomalies in the data, but most of these detections are noise, and data scientists still need to parse out real signals manually.
Stage 2: Signal Detection
At this stage, the augmented analytics algorithm can detect true signals in a company’s data with extreme reliability. However, it is unable to connect these discoveries with business situations or business actions.
Assistance is still needed from data analysts or data scientists to convert those discoveries into concrete business insights, but the time they need to spend on each insight is reduced dramatically.
Many companies will likely reach this stage in 2–3 years.
Stage 3: Actionable Insight Generation
This is the stage in which the augmented analytics engine can directly interface with executives in the company with little or no need for input from a business analyst or data scientist.
A large knowledge base of past business cases will be developed to help the augmented analytics systems connect trends in the company’s data to the larger context of the business. It can then offer concrete action steps based on these insights.
More importantly, the system will be able to track the implementation of these actions and provide additional insights on what the company can do better next time to maximize its operational effectiveness.
Here, the augmented analytics engine is not only a substitute for business analysts, but can also do a lot of things current analysts cannot do.
This stage is definitely a significant leap compared with the previous stages. I believe many businesses will start to reach this stage in 5–10 years.

Wat is de nitraatkaart?
De nitraatkaart (figuur 1) geeft een ruimtelijk beeld van de nitraatconcentraties in water dat uitspoelt uit landbouwpercelen en natuurgebieden in Nederland. De kaart kan worden gebruikt om mogelijke probleemgebieden te identificeren. Nitraat is namelijk een belangrijke indicator voor de kwaliteit van het grond- en oppervlaktewater. Zowel bij beleidsmakers als belangengroepen is er veel vraag naar de identificatie van gevoelige of problematische gebieden m.b.t. nitraat in het uitspoelingswater. De kaart is door het RIVM samengesteld op basis van gegevens uit het Landelijk Meetnet effecten Mestbeleid (LMM) voor de landbouw-gebieden en het Trendmeetnet Verzuring (TMV) voor de natuurgebieden.
Hoe kan de nitraatkaart worden gebruikt?
De kaart kan gebruikt worden als hulpmiddel bij de discussie over waar in Nederland aanvullende maatregelen nodig zijn voor stikstof. Hierbij kunnen gebieden worden geïdentificeerd waar de nitraatconcentraties in het uitspoelingswater verder verlaagd zouden moeten worden. Verder geldt dat geen uitspraken gedaan worden over de waterkwaliteit op lokaal niveau, wel kan deze kaart gebruikt worden voor uitspraken op regionaal niveau.
Hoe is de kaart samengesteld en welke gegevens zijn hierbij gebruikt?
Het RIVM meet met het Landelijk Meetnet effecten Mestbeleid (o.a.) nitraatconcentraties in het water dat uitspoelt uit percelen op landbouwbedrijven en in slootwater op deze bedrijven. Voor deze kaart zijn voor de Klei-, Zand- en Lössregio de gegevens voor uitspoelingswater en voor de Veenregio de gegevens voor slootwater gebruikt. Nitraatconcentraties in het uitspoelingswater van natuurgebieden worden door het RIVM gemeten in het Trendmeetnet Verzuring. Deze natuurgebieden bevinden zich voornamelijk op zandgrond. Beide meetnetten geven data die betrekking hebben op een beperkt oppervlak, namelijk bedrijf of natuurlocatie. Door deze gegevens te combineren met kaartinformatie en bemestingsdata op nationaal niveau en gebruik te maken van een statistisch model, is de nitraatconcentratie geschat voor heel Nederland, ook daar waar niet is gemeten. Dit is in de nitraatkaart weergegeven.
