Nettlehorst Elementary School, Chicago, IL: Current School Counselor
• Assisted 8th grade students matriculating to high school by providing resources, conducting research & advising
their selection of a school that best fit their academic development, personal/social needs, and career goals.
• Implement, oversee, and coordinate an elementary, K-8, guidance curriculum by delivering classroom guidance
activities and systematically creating developmental counseling groups for all grade level groups
• Provide resources to teachers to facilitate their instruction of counseling content, such as character development,
and infuse counseling content into the general educational curriculum.
• Use various counseling strategies to counsel students toward academic, social/emotional, and career growth.
