Based on the rigorous methodology employed in our Digital & Media Asset Management Research, this session will provide you with a thorough grounding in Digital and Media Asset Management technology. It will enable you to identify your own requirements more clearly, understand how various DAM & MAM system services work, and differentiate among alternate architectures and approaches.
How To Select a DAM System: Best Practices, Pitfalls To Avoid, and a Look at the Market in 2013
In the market for a Digital & Media Asset Management system? Thinking about divorcing your current vendor? Looking for a better way to manage your brand assets, and wondering if there's an online dating site that will allow you to use the perfect algorithm, matching your needs to the best possible solution? This session is for you.
Rather than selecting a new technology based on a ratings spreadsheet or whom your boss plays golf with, we'll look at a better path toward selecting DAM technology. You'll learn about the most important criteria when creating a shortlist, what should really be in that (brief) RFP, and how to plan a vendor demo that's meaningful and useful to you. Led by The Real Story Group, a buyer-focused, vendor-independent research consultancy, this session will deal the straight dope on pitfalls to avoid and solid paths to follow.
We specialise in social media optimization and team change management to identify the required changes to inputs, thoroughputs to achieve a desirable output (hard variable). For example, marketing strategies to increase sales.

Internap’s John Freimuth and Steve LeClair of VMware discuss different paths businesses take toward cloud adoption, how to evolve your own cloud strategy and key considerations for choosing a provider to meet your virtualization goals.

You know you have an information management problem, and that you will likely have to implement new software solutions. But what kind of software should you be looking at? The content and information management industry loves to confuse, and buyers often end up comparing apples with oranges. This session aims to explain in clear terms the various types of software available, and how to distinguish and chose between them. Our goal is to ensure that your shortlist contains nothing but the best for your needs.

Step Up to the Plate: Take Your Cloud Strategy from the Minor League to the M...Dave Roberts
Many enterprises are working on cloud computing strategies. Unfortunately, most are taking a tactical view of the situation and optimizing on the wrong things. In short, they are playing "small ball," which will result in suboptimal outcomes and possibly failed projects. To ensure your cloud project has the best chance of success, you'll need to think through a larger strategy. You'll need to step up to the major leagues. This presentation can help.
There is an exponential demand for content in today’s digital world, especially rich media assets such as images and video. These assets are no longer just the purview of the marketing organizations either — their use is spreading across the organization internally and externally by helping to deliver a richer and more personalized customer experience.
Focus is on understanding Information Professionals and how they connect with solution providers.
This was presented at the Document Management Solution Providers Executive Forum (http://www.aiim.org/dmspef).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
