Dalby is the larger of the two villages described, located 30 minutes from Malmö, Sweden's third largest city. It has a Protestant church built in the 1100s and cliffs known as Dalby Stebrott that are popular for swimming. Agriculture is important in the region, with crops like sugar, potatoes, and rapeseed grown. There are three public schools in Dalby that educate students from ages 6 to 16. The smaller village of Torna Hällestad has beautiful nature, including a valley with a large old tree and pond, and football is a popular sport there.
