and foremost, the complexity of the play itself requires a comprehensive understanding of its
intricate plot, multifaceted characters, and the underlying themes. Delving into the nuances of
Cyrano's character, his internal conflicts, and the intricate relationships with other characters
demands a keen analytical eye.
Furthermore, a successful essay on "Cyrano De Bergerac" should not merely summarize the plot
but delve into the deeper layers of symbolism, metaphor, and the cultural context of the time in
which the play is set. This requires extensive research to provide a well-rounded perspective,
considering historical, literary, and philosophical aspects.
Expressing original insights and interpretations adds another layer of difficulty. Given the
popularity and extensive critical analysis of the play, finding a fresh angle or making a unique

Benefits Of Obtaining A Lasting Relationship With A Dog
The purpose of this essay is to investigate the benefits of obtaining a lasting
relationship with a dog. Through research examined from multiple different sources
the important positive influences a dog can provide include an increase in mental
health, social health, and physical health. By acquiring a relationship with a doga
person can seek out meaningful companionship that they are not obtaining from
being in a humanrelationship (Kurdek, 2009). One reason a person may turn to a dog
for company is due to a recent loss of a loved one (Kurdek, 2009). In a study by
Kurdek (2009) it was shown that dogs could help people in an elderly carefacility by
providing them with social interactions. The social interactions created helped the
elderly with mental and social health, but the interactions with the dog also improved
their physical health. In a study by Martin, Wood, Christian, and Trapp (2015) it was
shown that owning a dog creates the obligation to walk the dog daily. With the
increase in physical activity Martin et al. observed an increase in mental and social
health of the subjects results from their study.
Importance of the Family Dog For many of centuries dogs have been an essential part
of many people s lives. There are old sayings like dogs are man s best friend, and
33% of Canadian homes own at least one dog (Perrin, 2009). People have been
known to consider their dog to be an important family member or even treat their dog
as their own child, this is
Dietary Supplements Essay
Envision a pill that has the ability to replace protein, vitamins, and calcium. Is that
even possible? The answer is both yes and no because the human body cannot live
on pills alone. Dietary supplements are popular worldwide among athletes, those
who go to the gym, and the general public. However, what many do not believe is
all the possible health risks that come from consuming these pills Yes, dietary
supplements can benefit the body in a couple ways but only for a small period of
time. A dietary supplementis an enhancement that is made to replace ingredients that
are found in a common diet. These supplements have the ability to speed up the
metabolism and are used to complement a daily diet by making the intake larger.

Metabolism. It changes with time of use and can cause serious health issues.
Dietary supplements are used to replace ingredients in our everyday diet this alters
our metabolism. These supplements speed up the metabolism so the consumers
eating habits tend to increase because metabolism is rising. As intake of
supplements the metabolism slows down again, that is what many people do not
understand, then they continue to eat the same way and end up gaining all the
weight back. Though it is not correctly defined as to the difference among users
and non users because not every consumer is taking the same supplements, there is
not a set dosage equal in each one. Therefore, it is difficult to establish the
difference in metabolism amid users and non users. Regular users are defined
according to the supplementation frequency as those reporting a supplement use of
at least once a week, says Roma Beitz in her essay, Do Users of Dietary Supplements
Differ from Nonusers in Their Food Consumption (339). Dietary supplements should
be consumed cautiously and after intake has finalized it is advised to continue a
healthy diet; exercise is always suitable. Therefore, when it comes to dietary
supplements, consumers should be aware that they place their health at risk and the
Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act and FDA are aware of these risks but

How To Be A Navy Seal
I conducted my research about 3 days on my topic. Each day I found a new
website to study and use for my research paper. I found many results for my
question; What are the steps to be a Navy Seal? When I was researching the first
day I remember an easier way to find my topic, and help me to find good sites to
use. Before my real research I just needed to look up Navy Seals in the Google
search bar with no quotes to see how many hits I would get. Than I looked up Navy
Seals using quotes to see what if it gets better results for my research. I found that
using the quotes shorten the hits from about 3 million to 8 hundred thousand. This
made my time even easier, because if I did not use the quotes trick it would be

The website also talked about how Navy Seals recruits have to be prepared for

Analysis Of Last Days
During Socrates last days, he speaks with Cebes about the fate of the soul. Cebes
is unconvinced that the soul doesn t die concurrently with the body, which leads
him to create an alternative analogy. Cebes imperfect analogy compares the body
and soul to a cloak and a weaver, respectively. A cloak can be worn over and over
again, which represents multiple human lives in a body. The weaver, however,
outlasts each cloak until the last cloak dies. Cebes argues that because the weaver no
long has a cloak to wear, he will die. This means that although the soulmay preexist
and outlive a body, it too will eventually die. Therefore, if Cebes analogy turns out to
be more accurate and correct, then the soul is not immortal. Socrates, on the other
hand, believes that the soul is immortal and looks to Forms to prove the soul s
immortality. He provides a safe answer that helps the reader understand not only his
argument, but Platos argument and view of philosophy as well.
In order to respond to Cebes argument, Socrates discusses causes. As a young man,
Socrates was interested in physical science. However, he grew uninterested in
physical science because he believed the inquiry into nature and science blinded
him from certain ideas that he found paradoxical. For example, he was dissatisfied
by the idea that two can be achieved in multiple ways: adding together two items or
dividing a single item into two parts (97a b). He believed there should be a consistent
cause for this,

hands starts to help, looking up I see Elizabeth Alexander, my friend and colleague,
frantically helping me. I m out of the seat now and it s eerily quiet for plane crashing
to the earth, I look around to see only me, Logan, Simon, Jim, and Candy are
awake, all others are already dead of passed out. Elizabeth takes my hand, pulls me
to the back of the plane and tells me to get on a parachute, I do and soon I am
working my way to the side door that is about to be wedged open by Logan. The
door opens and immediately bodies are sucked out like vacuum. I m being pulled
out the plane when the body of my former boss, a short, fat man by the name of
earl, gets ripped out of his seat and pins me against the wall. His face dripping in
blood from a luggage compartment smashing down on him from the engine
failure, looks like an all red version of stepping out of the shower and not toweling
your hair dry, and all that blood is blowing on to me. I get sick at the sight of blood
so when earl s fat face dripped it into my mouth and onto my face I puked violently
causing my body to spasm and squeeze myself from between the wall and him. I was
now blindly trying to find the exit when I am suddenly sucked out and the wind

Scottish Recruitment
In 1296, Scotland was unprepared for war. Occasionally described as prefeudal in
nature, Scottish recruitment was based on the idea of free service and Scottish
service . Free service referred to the free men of Scotland such as Barons, Knights
and the lesser nobility or free men who were equipped and mounted according to
their rank. Scottish service was used to indicate able bodied men from Earldoms
north of the Forth who did not hold lands or significant resources. England was much
more prepared for war, with their army being recruited under instructions of the Great
Seal. This often left the Scottish forces using guerrilla warfare to combat their
enemies. It is therefore no surprise that Wallace began his militarycareer with
The Role Of Alexander Kerensky In The February
Revolution...
The year 1917 was a historic year in Russian history. It saw two revolutions, in
February and in October. The February Revolution resulted in the abdication of Tsar
Nicholas II and the suppression of the Romanov monarchy. In October, the Bolshevik
Party took over the reins of government in the October Revolution, establishing the
world s first socialist state. There has been an intense debate regarding the role of
key individuals Alexander Kerensky and Vladimir Leninin the events of 1917, and
the role of other factors, such as the economy, the First World War and public
opinion. I believe that Kerensky was more significant in this year because of his
failures and his mistakes. It could be argued that Kerensky acted as a catalyst towards

His response was to arrest the leading Bolsheviks, however some went into exile just
as Lenin did as he escaped to Finland. In further retaliation, Kerensky appointed
General Kornilov as head of the army with the task of suppressing the left. Kornilov
decided that it was time to deal with the revolutionaries and to establish a strong
government in Russia. Also Kornilov wanted the Tsar back in power which
contradicted what Kerensky wanted. Therefore it leads me to believe that this
was poor judgement by Kerensky and it shows how he was indirectly linked to
him. Kornilov ordered the Cossacks to march on Petrograd. Kerensky panicked
and asked the Bolsheviks for help. The Bolsheviks agreed and so Kerensky armed
the Bolshevik red guards with rifles. However, Kornilov s troops never arrived in
Petrograd as the railway workers stopped the trains so the Cossacks couldn t get to
Petrograd. It is quite impossible for me to betray Russia into the hands of her
ancient enemy, the German race, and to turn the Russian people into German slaves.
Here, Kornilov described Russia s contribution in worldWar I as anobligation to
prevent the Russian people from being confined by Germany. Although the Cossacks
couldn t get to Petrograd, the red guards kept the rifles which were given to them by
Kerensky and they would later be used in the October revolution. Consequently, it is
clear that Kerensky had a key role in 1917, holding important government positions
and ultimately losing the support of both the left and the right, allowing the
Bolsheviks to take power. Not only was Kerensky s lack of knowledge of the
ideologies Kornilov had his failure, but also the fact that he armed the opposition.
From the point Kerensky armed the red guards it was inevitable that a different
leader would emerge, either Kornilov or

Key Concept 4.1 Globalizing Networks of Communication and Exchange
4.1 Describe the degree of global interconnection after 1500 CE compared to before
1500. What were the overall effects of this change in global interconnectedness? The
interconnection before 1500 and after 1500 posed major differences in the degree of
interconnection. Before 1500, there were a few expeditions to the Americas, and it
remained relatively isolated. After 1500, colonies were established in the new world
which helped connect Europe to the Americas, in which Europe benefitted from a
large stream of sugar and precious metals. This change began to introduce new
economic activities that contributed to the rise of the West and many African
kingdoms.
4.1.I How did the global trade network after 1500 CE affect the pre existing regional
trade networks? (Indian Ocean, Mediterranean, trans Saharan, Silk Routes)After a
global trade network was developed, focus shifted away from regional trading
networks, therefore leading to less dependence on them. However, these routes were
still used to trade New World goods throughout Eurasia.
4.1.II.A What technical developments made transoceanic European travel trade
possible? Some of the technical developments that made transoceanic trade possible
were wide hulled sailing ships, astrolabes, compasses, and guns.
4.1.II.B Where did those developments originate?
Wide hulled sailing ships were derived from Chinese junks and developed in Western
Europe, as well as,

Background Information
As a result of a crisis in Kansas, known as the Bleeding Kansas, the Democratic
Party was divided. Meanwhile, the Congress was divided on the topic of slavery,
some strongly anti slavery and others pro slavery.
In the election of 1856, three parties had representatives: the Democrats, the
Republicans and the American Party. The Democrats won, however the new
president: James Buchanan, favored the South.
Abraham Lincoln, known as Abe , came along and challenged the Senator Stephen
Douglas to a debate. In one of the debates, Douglas said that if the people voted out
slavery he would favor them over the Constitution, this was known as the Freeport

пЂThere were attempts of a compromise prior to the impending bloodshed.
пЂOne of these compromise efforts were made by Senator James Henry Crittenden

2.The Congress was forbidden to abolish slavery within a slave state.
3.The Congress could not abolish slavery in District of Columbia.
4.The Congress could not interfere with interstate slave trade.
5.The Congress would provide full compensation to owners of rescued fugitive slaves.

The Characters Personalities in Grendel and Beowulf ...
The book Grendel, written by John Gardner, and the poem Beowulf, translated by
Seamus Heaney, both have very distinct opinions on what role each character plays.
The translator of Beowulf and the writer of Grendel follow the idea that everyone
has a story. A story is the writer s perspective on a character s personality, the way
people in the story see and treat the character, and the way it ties the ideas together.
There are many examples in these two writings of this concept, but the main instances
connect with the lives of Grendel, Beowulf, and Unferth. Our first character,
Grendel, is an exceptionally diverse character. It is implied that in both book and
poem, Grendel is a blood thirsty monster. All Grendel does is go through... Show

This way of thinking leads Grendel to be the assassin we know him as today.
A great character to include in this topic is Unferth. Unferth is a very out of the
ordinary individual. In Beowulf, the writer s perspective on Unferth is a pathetic
warrior who couldn t win even the simplest of fights. When first introduced in the
poem Beowulf, it s hard to feel sympathy for Unferth because he is in verbal
conflict with Beowulf, insulting Beowulf. When switching to the outside view in
the book Grendel, it becomes apparent that Unferth isn t just doing this to pick a
fight. Grendel has been his arch enemy ever since the twelve year war started.
Unferth was embarrassed and infuriated in his first meeting with Grendel when
Grendel said I m going to carry you back to Hrothgar, safe and sound (p.90). The
other people in the book think he s supposed to be the savior of the kingdom, yet
he can t even come close to killing Grendel and when he does attempt to kill
Grendel, Grendel just laughs and teases him. This idea of embarrassment drives
Unferth mad with rage. When Beowulf comes along, he claims that he has done all
these heroic and outstanding things. He makes the claim that Grendel is hardly a
work out which infuriates Unferth. He has worked so hard to get revenge on
Grendel and a warrior came from a distant land and claims to kill him like it is
nothing. It is not

same accuracy as we got in A(d) that is before reducing the attributes. The accuracy
of Classifiers on the reduced dataset: в¦Ѓ Naive Bayes: Accuracy = 70.85% в¦Ѓ J48:
Accuracy = 72.95% As we can see the accuracy of both the classifiers is intact even
after removing many attributes. Here we can observe that performance of both the

в¦Ѓ As we can see the difference in plots of the attributes against the class variable
for the highest ranked attributes(for example, pixel_14_15) and the lowest ranked
ones(pixel_2_11), in the former plot we can see that if we select this attribute and
split it using some value range then we will get more meaningful sub datasets and
we can use those sub datasets to classify the instances however in the second case if
select that attribute and try to split it, we will get impure data and we won t be able

Global Warming Affects International Business
During the 20th century, the earth s average surface temperature increased by 0.6В°
В± ().2В°C (Folland et al. 2001), and there s strong evidence that human activities are
the main cause of this trend (Mitchell et al. 2001). This increase in global surface
temperature is thought to have at least some effect on the frequency of extreme
weather events due to climate changes (Folland et al. 2001), and there is concern that
these changes will have an enormous impact on various industries (Hitz and Smith
2004). Balancing environmental measures with economic development, that is,
working toward sustainable development, is the fundamental goal of global
environmental policies, including those for global warming(Hijioka, Masui,

For example, forestry projects are one of the important outcomes of joint
implementation in agriculture industry. Planting trees in reforestation or afforestation
projects enhances the absorptive capacity of the biosphere and leads to carbon dioxide
reductions in the atmosphere(Robert and Sally, 1995). Besides, Tesco, a European
supermarket chain, is beginning a program to provide a global warming rating for
everything it sells (Scot, 2007). The chain is creating an index to measure the carbon
footprint required to produce, package, and transport each product in its stores.
Consumers can then include the carbon footprint along with price and product
quality when making purchasing decisions. Weather and climate are core business for
the insurance industry. Many extreme weather events such as cyclones, hailstorms,
bushfires and floods are projected to increase in either intensity or frequency under
climate change. A changing, less predictable climate has the potential to reduce the
insurance industry s capacity to calculate, price and spread this weather related risk.

increasing. Usually it has been occurred in rural or urban areas. Increase of
population in urban shows poverty, unstable, underdevelopment, deficiency and lack
of housing areas. Theses can also affect teens that increase doing crimes in which it
called juvenile delinquency. There are two terms that define juvenile delinquency, 1:
conduct by a juvenile characterized by antisocial behavior that is a beyond parental
control and therefore subject to legal action; 2: a violation of law committed by a
juvenile and not punishable by death or live imprisonment. (Cite). In this topic, I will
explain more about family factors in which it has major influence on teens such as
the way parents discipline a child, parental conflict or separation, parental abuse or
neglect or criminal parents or siblings. What has causes childrento act out? It could
be because they want some attention or misbehave when they are afraid. They
misbehave when they also feel bad about themselves and learn bad behaviors by
copying you. There will be four articles that I summarized that related with juvenile
and give out some resources to prevent juvenile delinquency.
The family home conditions are one of the reasons why teens have become juvenile
delinquency. These are poverty and unemployment, material deficiencies, broken
homes, immoral and delinquent parents, lack of parental care and affection and bad
example. The poverty and
Essay On Patriots Day
Patriots Day. Patriots weekend, how about Patriots Weekends. It is hard to sum up

the numerous activities the park schedules, it is a safe bet to cover three consecutive

Local area towns begin to roll out their celebrations the weekend before Patriots day

to celebrate the beginning of the running battle at Merrim Corners on the east side of

As much as you would think the park would have been able to rest on it s laurels,

Why do you think that the article begins with a description of Wonder Woman?
The reason I believe that the text begins with a description of wonder woman is
because she is a woman hero and her personality describes a woman hero which the

Example Of Rapunzel Alternate Ending
Rapunzel grew up pretty normal, as normal as as you could for being locked away
from the outside world. Never being allowed to step a foot outside, let alone being
allowed to venture down to the hospital mother Gothel worked at. All the young girl
knew as the apartment she shared with Mother Gothel. She familiarized herself
rather quickly with the layout of the apartment when she got old enough to be left
alone. Learning every nook and cranny of the place, the only thing she couldn t
figure out was how to escape the locked doorand make her way down to the hospital
to see her mother.
The older she grew the less time Gothel spent with her. Each time she left the
apartment, she would be gone longer and longer, only coming back when she need a
bone marrow transplant. Something the young blond hate more than anything in the
world. You d think that someone who grew up getting them every month like clock

it for the rest of her life. The only reason she didn t put up a big fight about it was
because her mother needed the transplant to stay healthy. She didn t want to be ...

HRM 560 Managing Organizational Change

1. Create a table where at least three (3) organizational pressures and at least three (3)
environmental pressures in the organization are illustrated and rank those pressures
according to their influence. Corporate organizational pressures describe change both
negatively and positively for the company and its employees. These evaluations of
environmental and organizational pressures are described using Company XYZ, one

The diagram above illustrates the resources offered to improve the implementation
of change. The Employee s Survival Guide to Change Book is usually a book tailored
for each corporation. This change book will include elements detailing organizational
changes to ensure that each employee is aware of the company s new vision and
direction.
3. Explain how the identified environmental and organizational pressures impact the
company from a financial perspective.
In Company XYZ, environmental pressures affected the company s bottom line by
a direct relationship to the national health insurance changes. From a financial
perspective this change proved positive to the company. All changes stemming
from the merger proved to be profitable for the corporation, even the move of
corporate atmosphere to a paperless society. This move allowed the company to
participate in tax advantages of energy savings as well as reduce the cost of paper
supplies and printing cost.
4. Explain how the identified environmental and organizational pressures impact you
personally or the other employees of the company.
In the beginning, from an employee s perspective the change to a paperless society
proved to be very difficult. However, given management directive marker boards
were given to each employee to substitute for paper in
Research Paper On Giotto
This is an artwork is by Giotto. Giotto was an artist that was very advance for his
time. He grew up as a shepherds boy in the outskirts of florence. There he worked
on his paintings when an artist named Cimabue saw his artwork and took him
under his wing as an apprentice. Giotto s work is so important because he was
using a thing called perspective. Perspective was lost during the middle ages, but
Giotto reclaimed it. Though nobody used this method for a couple hundred years, if
it weren t for Giotto then it could have been much longer before art became more
advanced. Florence, Italyhad other important features during the Renaissancebesides
Giotto s artwork. Florence was one of the five very important city states in Italy. It
was the capital of banking, thanks to the de Medici family. The de Medici family
was one of many families that ruled the city. This family also established their own
bank, which is what made them so powerful. Among being the banking capital, the

Camus Philosophical View Of Absurdism In Meursault s

The Stranger reflects Camus philosophical stance as an absurdist. There is no
logical meaning to life, there is no higher order or law governing it or people, and
there is no rational explanation to the chaos as according to The Stranger. There is no
truth no certainty nor any unwavering non relative laws in life and there is no sense
in pursuing such impossibilities. This is shown through camus s main character
Meursault. No opening sentences of the novel and body somersaults absurdist
outlook on life, his emotional indifference and detachment to people, and his passive
be quiet alienation from the rest of society. he doesn t even know which day his
mother died and to him it, doesn t mean anything anyway. Throughout this novel

Camus Philosophical thought on absurdism is not shown throughout this novel.
Though camus does not explicitly refer to the notion of absurdity, the events of
absurdity operate within the novel. Neither the external World in which Meursault
lives nor the internal world of his thoughts possesses any rational order. Meursault
has no discernible reason for his actions, such as his decision to marry Marie or his
decision to kill the Arab. For the first time baby, I really thought I was going to get
married. (50). This quotation shows the true unpredictability of this novel, and with
that it shows how life can be so absurd. Though the stranger is a work of fiction, it
contains a strong sense of camus philosophical notion of absurdity. Though critics
still argue that absurdism is essentially meaningless because acceptance of it entails
life without meaning. This,
African Slave Trade in American History
African Slave Trade in American History
Slavery has taken place throughout the world since before ancient times, and the act
of trading slaves was a common act throughout the world for centuries. Slavery
previously existed in certain parts of Africa, Europe, Asia, and also in America before
the beginning of the Trans Atlantic slave trade. What initially started out as an
enormous search for trade in gold, spices, and etc., ended up turning into an callous
human trading system of exporting African slaves, which would continue for well
over 400 years. In the late 15th century, Europeans and Arabs removed slaves from
the West, Central and Southeast Africaoverseas during the African slave trade era.

In most cases the original people that were chosen for labor had proved that they
were unreliable and most of them were dying from diseases brought over from
Europe. The Europeans were unequipped to become acclimated to the different
climates in which they suffered very major tropical diseases. Africans, on the other
hand, were outstanding workers: they often had experience of agriculture and
keeping cattle, they were used to a tropical climate, resistant to tropical diseases, and
they could be worked very hard on plantations or in mines.
The Portuguese proceeded to the kidnapping of men, woman, and children from
many African tribes from the west coast of Africa and to take those that were
captured to Europe and various other countries. By the seventeenth century the Trans
Atlantic slave trade was in full operation, reaching its peak towards the end of the
nineteenth century. More than 15 million Africans were forced to leave Africa to
cross the Atlantic to be sold into slavery. In addition, millions of Africans lost their
lives because of slave retaliation or during their forced transportation to the ships
where they would be transported to the Americas. Many of the Africans that were
enslaved were previously prisoners of war or became prisoners from slave attacks
that took place during their capture. As the need for slaves increased, so did the
practice of organized slave attacking, which increased in scope and
Mosaddeq s Nationalization of Oil in Iran Essay
Mosaddeq s Nationalization of Oil in Iran
The world of foreign policy is like a multi sided game of chess. Moves are made
with varying degrees of calculation and skill, and nothing happens in a vacuum.
Everything that happens affects the other players sets of options and levels of risk. In
analyzing historical events in international relations, it is incumbent upon the analyst
to take into consideration the historical and regional context to what happened.
At the time of the coup that overthrew Premier Mosaddeq, several world events had
just happened: key were the 1949 Chinese Revolution and Iran s 1951 nationalization
of its oil industry. The Korean War was ending, and the Viet Minh guerrillas were

It should be remembered that India was governed by Premier Nehru, and moving
into the Soviet sphere of influence; as a result, the US sought to bring Pakistan into
its fold. A socialist Iran would make Pakistan s position exceedingly precarious. The
stated policy of the Eisenhower Administration was stopping communism wherever it
encroached, and rolling it back wherever possible (Daalder). In 1954, the CIA would
organize a coup d Г©tat in Guatemala, overthrowing the democratically elected
socialist Jacobo Arbenz
Besides the imperative to fight communism, the prospect of anti Western
nationalism must have also appeared to the US and Great Britain as a problem to
be eliminated. Syria had experienced a succession of coups between 1949 and 1951
that left the country under the control of Ba ath (socialist and nationalist) and SSNP
(conservative and nationalist) Army officers (Britannica 2). Col. Gemal Abdel
Nasser and other officers overthrew the monarchy in Egypt in 1952 (Britannica 3). In
the background, anti colonial agitation in Algeria had been actively repressed by the
French since the 1940s; and Israel was founded in 1948, at the expense of 750,000
expelled Palestinians, which further catalyzed anti Westernism in the Middle East. At
the same time, Britain s Prime Minister was colonial stalwart Winston Churchill, who

My Family Vacation
A vacation is meant to be a time for serenity and relaxation. In my case it was the
complete opposite, but it changed me for the better. Five years ago a family
vacation to Jamaica changed the way I saw everything and made me appreciate the
people I love and where I come from. It all started with the worst airplane ride.
About thirty minutes into the ride the flight attendant started going around offering
snacks. These purple potato chips caught my eye so that s what I decided to get. I
should have known something so bright couldn t have been good to eat. I instantly
regretted eating the chip after taking a bite out of that awfully weird tasting potato
chip because immediately after, I felt a striking pain in my lower abdomen. I tried to
relieve the pain by loosening the seat belt buckle. I drank gingerale, tried to position
myself differently to feel less discomfort but nothing helped. My brother was too
busy on his I pad to care, my other brother was too young to formulate proper
sentences and my mom was too far gone in her sleep, she couldn t have been any
help fresh out of slumber. I just rocked back and forth releasing oohs and ah s here
and there because the pain was intolerable. I kept on for the remaining three hour
flight weeping and wincing, trying to keep quiet so I wouldn t disturb anyone.
Landing in Jamaica was supposed to be exciting, but how could I be excited when
I was in pain. My mom, two younger brothers and I were waiting for my uncle to
arrive and take us to his house, so I took this opportunity to tell my mom what was
going on. She believed that it might just be cramps so she buys me two bottles of
ginger beerwhich is like the ginger aleof Jamaica, So I drank and I drank and I drank
but nothing happened. My uncle finally arrived after 15 minutes of chugging down
the ginger beer. We were settling in my uncle s house and my mom tried everything
she could to make me feel better. She made tea, gave me more ginger beer, and a hot
pack for my stomach but nothing worked. After my mom and uncle tried everything
they could think of they finally came to the conclusion that it was time to bring me to
the doctor.
My visit to the doctor s office was a different experience from all
Analysis of Article The Go-Nowhere Generation
In the article The Go Nowhere Generation, the Buchholzes argue that the present
generation of youths has taken a turn for the worse, losing the sense of spirit that
were once synonymous with people of their age and settling for meager jobs in their
hometowns instead. The target audience of The Go Nowhere Generation is educated
older adults and parents, who are most likely to share the authors views. The authors
implement a series of comparisons, which include statistics and descriptions, between
the past and present generation of youngadults to illustrate their position. However,
though the authors make several valid points that are supported by solid evidence,
the article falls short of being truly convincing due to its narrow views... Show more

The Buchholzes use data skillfully to show the downfall of the young person.
The authors extend the comparisons using descriptions and adjectives. The past
generation of youths was made up of go getters eager to hit the road and find
freedom ; they were even the inspiration for Bruce Springsteen s vivacious album,
Born to Run. The authors claim that today s youths are far from that, holding nothing
back as they describe the young people of this generation. Risk averse and sedentary,
they don t bother to get their driver s licenses, are satisfied to be at home browsing
Facebook, and put too much faith in luck than effort. In other words, Generation Y
has become Generation Why Bother. The authors appeal to the audience s sense of
patriotism, stating that American is a nation of movers and shakers and enumerating
the accounts of bravery shown by the youths of previous generations, images that are
admittedly different from the image they have crafted of the modern young person.
The praises and favorable descriptions that the authors lavish upon previous
generations of youths contrast sharply with the lackluster and borderline insulting
descriptions of today s young adults. The juxtapositions accentuate how far
Generation Y has fallen from its predecessors and prove, once again, that its
constituents are leading stagnant lives. Even though the authors have valid points
and cite credible sources, their argument fails to be effective in several ways. For one,

Delta Air Lines Communications and Decision Making
C.E. Woolman, the first leader of Delta Air Lines, believed that the company should
take care of its employees so that, in return they would take care of customers. At the
root of this care included effectively communicating with his teams and empowering
them to make the right decisions. As Debra Nelson and James Quick reference in
Organizational Behavior: Science, the Real World, and You, (2013, p. 283)
...communication, especially between managers and employees, is a critical
foundation for effective performance in organizations...this is especially critical when
leaders are articulating vision and achieving buy in from employees. The buy in that
Woolman received from his employees stemmed from his intentional engagement
with them and expectation to provide the best customer service in the airline industry.
Throughout its history, Delta has deliberately engaged its employees and has
modeled a human resource management (HRM) system, which is the term
increasingly used to refer to the philosophy, policies, procedures, and practices related
to the management of an organization s employees (Sims, 2002, p. 2). The HRM
system at Delta has impacted its organizational structure, corporate communications,
and shared decision making.

The Internal Topology Of The Park Bench
Topology:
Internal Topology:
The internal topology within this performance relies heavily on the fact that the
stage is rounded and there is a single park bench (split in half and facing opposite
ways) in the centre of it. The cyclical view of life is not only symbolically
represented through the stage to the audience but also by the nature of the stage in
regards to the actors. The two characters as at the opposite end of a shared cycle is
also represented through the utilisation and manipulation of the park bench. Marion s
book is able to represent the shift that is to occur as Marion exits the cycle of her life
and the Girl is to enter. Thus, the internal topology as per the spacing of elements on
the stage is instrumental in portraying the intended meaning for the greatest audience
impact.
One of the greatest challenges regarding the internal topology of this play is the
notion of having an eighty year old woman meet a sixteen year old version of
herself as the preconceived notion of space and time shifts. This is dealt with across
the technical disciplines through the unity in developing their individual roles and
the contrasting display of their relationship. The notion of such meeting can be
perceived as quite strange to an audience when presented as reality however it is
through the manipulation of their roles and their relationship, achieved by the
various technical disciplines, that such occurrence is able to be achieved. This
meeting, through the roles of the

What else are you going to do? Wait for some man to come along and whisk you

Consider the facts. You made it this far on your own, earning a living and paying
the bills all by yourself. You even managed to invest enough money to slap down
the minimum five per cent and start calling yourself a homeowner. After all, you re
faced with another 40 plus years knock on wood so it s time to put down some

you re dealing with a new set of monthly expenses. Throw out the budget that

Once you have a new budget, start saving like you plan to buy a second house in a

in that order. Repairs come first because you need to fix whatever is broken. Did

you re handy? Also, don t forget that appliances, heaters, furnaces, and oil tanks have
a habit of breaking down at the least convenient times, schedules and finances
notwithstanding. Before you even think about redecorating your new house, take a
hard look at the layout.

letter was written in response to his fellow clergymen, stating that Dr. King s
present activities was unwise and untimely. The peaceful protest in Birmingham
was perceived as being extreme. The letter from Birmingham Jail was a letter of

Dr. King explained in his letter the difference between what is just and what is

of genuine good will and that they deserve a response, so Martin Luther king wrote a

The Effect Of Aggregate Demand On The Economy
As supported by the minutes released from the November meeting of the Federal
Open market Committee, the economy continues to strengthen and looks as though it
will remain healthy through the foreseeable future. The economy has returned to
normalcy in terms of Consumer Price since the hurricanes hit Florida and Texas, as
evidenced by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers: Gasoline(all
types) which is portrayed in the graph below. The FOMC has also reported that
inflationis projected to remain below the two percent for at least the next two
quarters. The the inflation rate is expected to increase to two percent by the medium

The concern with the current slow growth of the Fed Funds Rate is that there is a
similar pattern as there was prior to the decline in 2008, where inflation tanked and
the Fed Funds Rate, which was high at 4.24% was not enough to halt the inflation
drop. The similar pattern in inflation and the Fed Funds Rate can be seen in the two
graphs below. If the Federal Open Market Committee does not increase the rate of
the growing Fed Funds Rate within the next few quarters the likeliness of another
recession increases. Although it would not be as extensively damaging as the
recession in 2008, a recession would be nonetheless detrimental to the economy, as
we would be set back in all the economical progress that has been made in the past
10 years, as shown in the graphs above. Currently, the Federal Reserve has set the rate
to rest at a target range of 1 to 1 1/4 percent. The Federal Open Market Committee
acknowledged in their November meeting that inflation has more headway to make
until it is at the two percent mark they have set as a long term target. This situation
contains both positive and negative elements. A low inflation rate benefits consumer
confidence, because consumers are easily able to manage the gradual inflation and
do not see change reflected in day to day consumption since inflation rises slowly.
However, with a low Federal Funds Rate, and the potential for inflation to decline for

invaded salem?
Suspicious behaviours, sending out spirits, and flying are all evidence that the devil
has invaded the minds of the inhabitants of Salem, but also not remembering the 10
commandments are another source of evidence . It is common Puritan Knowledge to
know these by heart, if you do not, then you are very likely doing something wrong.
Working on Sundays and not attending church consistently is also another negative
notion that can be linked to witchcraft. If you do any of these things, you faith is not
legitimate and there is a chance you made a pact with the devil.
3. What is you Impression of Elizabeth Proctor by the end of Act 2? Of reverend

How Did Adolf Hitler s Rise To Power
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20,1889. He died on April 30,1945 in Berlin
Germany. Son of Klara Hitler and Alois Hitler. Their sibling was Paula Hitler,
Angela Hitler, Ida Hitler, Alois Hitler Jr., Edmund Hitler, otto Hitler, and Gustav

to Eva Braun when he committed suicide.Eva was a german teacher and seamstress
who came from middle class families. Then she and Hitler were together when they
she was 17 years old. Hitler went to college at BRG for one year. Then after that, he
went to Bundesrealgymnasium Linz for 4 years. Then after that, he finally went to
folks Schuler Wambach for another year as well.
Adolf Hitler was rejected from Art schools across Austria, which supports the
idea. That he traveled to Liverpool to study. He spoke little English and spent most
nights wandering the streets of Liverpool alone. In the election of late 1932, the Nazis
won 37 percent of the vote and became the largest single party in the Reichstag. Hitler

He initiated world war 2 and oversaw fascist policies that result in millions of
deaths.Born in Austria in 1889, Adolf Hitler rose to power in German politics as
leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party, also known as the Nazi Party.
Hitler was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and served as dictator from
1934 to 1945. His policies precipitated World War II and the Holocaust. As with
many other Germans, Hitler bought into the philosophy that they were stabbed in
the back by the Jews. He put the Social Democrats, who signed the Armistice in the
same group as the Jewish War Profiteers. This simply added to his growing hatred of
the Jews, giving way to one more reason why Hitler hated jews.Mein Kampf was
published in 1925 and Volume 2 in 1926. The book was edited by Hitler s deputy

The Importance Of Protests In The Vietnam War
Hell, no, we won t go
The United States entered Vietnam s civil war in 1965 and US involvement
continued until 1975. One of the major causes for American involvement was
communism as North Vietnam was supported by communist countries like China and
the Soviet Union. South Vietnam was supported by the anti communist countries of
America, South Korea and other nations. This war was very unpopular in America
and many citizens wanted an end to American involvement, which lead to protests
involving thousands of people across the country. The VietnamWar protests are an
example of mob mentality because of the large amount of violent protestors.
Deindividuation happened during the protests when the protestors took on the
morals and ideas of the group. Many of the protests would take place at Universities
across the nation. Protests would often be held at colleges because the students
would fall victim to to mentality (Morrissey). They would take on the view opposing
the war and the students would take part in protests. The protesters would act as a
group during the protests and act less like an individual. Many of the protests that
happened were a result of the protesters sharing the same viewpoint, and not having
individual views. While there were peaceful protests, there were also frequent violent
protests that took place at colleges. The shooting at Kent State University caused
many students around America to protest (Lewis and Hensley). On May 4th, the Ohio
The Theory On Rainbow Formation And The Mechanics Of
Them...
Rainbows and the mechanics of them have been studied since ancient times. Greek
philosophers had some understanding of the role of refraction, scientists in the 13th
century produced theories on rainbow formation, and in the 17th century, Rene
Descartes sketched out the conditions required to observe a rainbow(Douma).
There are two key aspects that affect a rainbow, and these include the altitude of the
sun and the size of the raindrops. The colors of the rainbow are because of two basic
facts:
Sunlight is made up of the whole range of colors that the eye can detect. The range
of sunlight colors, when combined, looks white to the eye. This property of sunlight
was first demonstrated by Sir Isaac Newton in 1666.
Light of different colors is refracted by different amounts when it passes from one
medium (air, for example) into another (water or glass, for example) (University
Corporation for Atmospheric Research).
Determining whether or not the wavelengths will go through the raindrops or reflect
depends on the angle that the light falls on the backside of the raindrop. Each rain
droplet has a function in the formation of the rainbow. Sunlight enters the rain droplet
at a specific angle and the rain droplet separates the white light into many different
colors. This angle is a fixed measurement between your eye and the sun. What color
that is refracted is dependent on the critical angle, the angle the sunlight strikes the
back of the rain droplet (Mahlen). Red
Community College Speech Tournament
The Houston Community College organized a speech tournament for students to
partake in an opportunity of demonstrating both their speech and communication
skills. The student s skills are applied while each individual presents their speeches on
the most popular topics, such as legalizing marijuana and Obamacare. In front of a
vast audience, filled with many faculty members, the audience is able to listen to the
students input and conducted research they have completed while simultaneously

in speech tournaments are motivated to perform and excel a lot further. Engaging in
speech tournaments will also encourage students who participate to adopt techniques
and skills. In regards to the student s career s, students are able to prosper and succeed
when job searching and completing job interviews. One of the many benefits of
participating in college speech tournaments is the ability to use their experience on
the student s resume. As the student continues to build and strengthen their resume,
he or she can secure their desired job position. Speech tournaments are known to
develop excellent oral and written communication skills as well as critical thinking
skills. Also, the students can develop effective tools for research and presentation.

is costly to conduct buttraining can be view as an investment to achieve higher
productivity in the organization. By conducting a systematic and well plan training it

lecture training approaches involves training at outside trainee s regular workstation.
In other words, these training methods required a place with a large space which able

Bailey Coats Essay
Tuesday night Bailey Coats held a concert at Rounders Bar to benefit hurricane
relief and also to release her new music video. It was a crisp fall night, as dozens
gathered on the roof to attend the benefit concert. It was $5 a person to get into the
concert, and all the money went directly to the Red Cross to help the hurricane
victims from Texas to Florida to Puerto Rico. By the end of the night more than
$1300 were raised for the Red Cross.
Coats is a 19 year old marketing full time student at the University of Alabama while
pursuing a career in the music industry at the same time. According to Coats she
has been singing since she was a toddler and has fully been in the music industry
for about six years. Music has always been my passion and it is the one thing in my
life that I know without a doubt that the Lord called me to do, she said. She ... Show

It was also the public release of her new music video for her single American Girl .
Anna Slawson, an attendee and one of Coats sorority sisters said, It was really
cool to see my pledge sister performing at such a popular bar in Tuscaloosa and
doing what she loves . Another concertgoer Tara Henderson said, I think because
Bailey sang a lot covers of songs that people already knew it really let the crowd
engage and sing along with her which made it more fun and entertaining. Coats
closed out the night with her rendition of Sweet Home Alabama saying that she
couldn t leave the stage without paying homage to the state that means so much to
her. Overall Coats felt that, The concert went better than I could ve ever expected.
The turnout was truly remarkable, and the show was put on in a whole new manner
than I have ever done before. It was incredible to share my new performance with
my college peers and more importantly make a difference by giving back to such a

Non Verbal Communication In Health Care
Verbal communication is choice words influenced by education, age, gender, and
culture. It s the exchange of information that is used to continue additional
conversation or provide necessary information. Verbal communication can be bias to
one s own beliefs and experiences and is often misunderstood when these biases are
placed at the forefront. Effective verbal communicationin healthcare employs more
than one s own opinion but embraces the thoughts of the patients. Non verbal
communication interprets verbal communication through systemic observation and
behaviors. It relies on the five senses and reflexes on these senses to interpret
emotions. Non verbal communication can be misinterpreted when there is a lack of
eye contact, dismissal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To some, therapeutic communication involves the process of verbal interactions
between two or more people. This interaction can exchange information, elaborate on
a topic, or formulate opinion in a day to day process. Day to day communication,
however, does not rely on building and grouping information for a distinctive cause,
thus the aim of communication is not focused on personal rapport but through a
process where information is exchanged between individuals, (Merriam
Webster,2015). Likewise, person centered communication is targeted toward
interpersonal contact, the sharing of experience, and a deep understanding of self and
other, (Motschnig Nykl, 2014). Person centered communication combines the
feelings and thoughts of all involved not the needs and wants of the individual,
however, a significant element of person centered care is effective therapeutic
communication between care providers and clients, (Schwind,McCay, Metersky,
Martin, 2016). To many, communication stands alone and encompasses behaviors for
those involved to develop ways to set a more functional personal structure of
conveying information. Communication is a complex process of sending and
receiving messages. Similarly, therapy alone does not include communication but is
an action of doing or treating. By definition therapy is treatment intended to relive or
heal a disorder, (Meriam Webster, 2015). Therapeutic communication in a hospital
setting is essential in maintaining good quality of life because it allows the provider
to interact with the patient while at the same time providing comfort. In order to
provide care that is therapeutic there should be demonstration of respect and
compassion while communicating with the patient (Webster, 2013). The belief that
all communication is therapeutic overlooks the person as a human being or the
patient as an emotional

Representative Lynn Westmoreland
2202 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
September 7, 2015
Dear Representative Westmoreland:
I am writing to you on behalf of my support of House Bill 129. This bill would
allow water authorities to propose a referendum for the cessation of fluoridation of
county water supply. As a citizen of district 3 and of a fluoridated county, I would
greatly appreciate the ability to vote for whether or not I would like to consume
water with fluoride in it. I believe that a choice in the matter would greatly benefit
every county and its citizens. Since we are the ones consuming the water, I think it
should be a community decision instead of a decision made by local, state, or federal
governments. After all, this is supposedly a nation of we ... Show more content on

According to World Health Organization data obtained from a study on 12 year old
s levels of tooth decay, fluoride has had very little effect, if any at all, on tooth
decay. Countries such as Japan, Italy, and Iceland, who are non fluoridated
countries, actually have about the same level of tooth decay decrease as countries
that have fluoridated water. Fluoride is considered a drug, according to the FDA,
which means that it is a medical treatment. Medical treatments are not to be given
unless the patient agrees to the treatment, therefore, placing fluoride into the public
water supply violates informed consent seeing as how citizens are not given the
opportunity to vote on the matter. Even if people could vote on the situation, not all
people are going to agree with and since it is considered a drug, it

Cyrano De Bergerac Essay

  • 1. Cyrano De Bergerac Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of "Cyrano De Bergerac" presents a unique set of challenges. First and foremost, the complexity of the play itself requires a comprehensive understanding of its intricate plot, multifaceted characters, and the underlying themes. Delving into the nuances of Cyrano's character, his internal conflicts, and the intricate relationships with other characters demands a keen analytical eye. Furthermore, a successful essay on "Cyrano De Bergerac" should not merely summarize the plot but delve into the deeper layers of symbolism, metaphor, and the cultural context of the time in which the play is set. This requires extensive research to provide a well-rounded perspective, considering historical, literary, and philosophical aspects. Expressing original insights and interpretations adds another layer of difficulty. • 8. Analysis Of Last Days During Socrates last days, he speaks with Cebes about the fate of the soul. Cebes is unconvinced that the soul doesn t die concurrently with the body, which leads him to create an alternative analogy. Cebes imperfect analogy compares the body and soul to a cloak and a weaver, respectively. A cloak can be worn over and over again, which represents multiple human lives in a body. The weaver, however, outlasts each cloak until the last cloak dies. Cebes argues that because the weaver no long has a cloak to wear, he will die. This means that although the soulmay preexist and outlive a body, it too will eventually die. Therefore, if Cebes analogy turns out to be more accurate and correct, then the soul is not immortal. Socrates, on the other hand, believes that the soul is immortal and looks to Forms to prove the soul s immortality. He provides a safe answer that helps the reader understand not only his argument, but Platos argument and view of philosophy as well. In order to respond to Cebes argument, Socrates discusses causes. As a young man, Socrates was interested in physical science. However, he grew uninterested in physical science because he believed the inquiry into nature and science blinded him from certain ideas that he found paradoxical. For example, he was dissatisfied by the idea that two can be achieved in multiple ways: adding together two items or dividing a single item into two parts (97a b). He believed there should be a consistent cause for this,

The February Revolution resulted in the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the suppression of the Romanov monarchy. In October, the Bolshevik Party took over the reins of government in the October Revolution, establishing the world s first socialist state. There has been an intense debate regarding the role of key individuals Alexander Kerensky and Vladimir Leninin the events of 1917, and the role of other factors, such as the economy, the First World War and public opinion. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His response was to arrest the leading Bolsheviks, however some went into exile just as Lenin did as he escaped to Finland. In further retaliation, Kerensky appointed General Kornilov as head of the army with the task of suppressing the left. Kornilov decided that it was time to deal with the revolutionaries and to establish a strong government in Russia. Also Kornilov wanted the Tsar back in power which contradicted what Kerensky wanted. Therefore it leads me to believe that this was poor judgement by Kerensky and it shows how he was indirectly linked to him. Kornilov ordered the Cossacks to march on Petrograd. Kerensky panicked and asked the Bolsheviks for help. The Bolsheviks agreed and so Kerensky armed the Bolshevik red guards with rifles. However, Kornilov s troops never arrived in Petrograd as the railway workers stopped the trains so the Cossacks couldn t get to Petrograd. It is quite impossible for me to betray Russia into the hands of her ancient enemy, the German race, and to turn the Russian people into German slaves. Here, Kornilov described Russia s contribution in worldWar I as anobligation to prevent the Russian people from being confined by Germany. Although the Cossacks couldn t get to Petrograd, the red guards kept the rifles which were given to them by Kerensky and they would later be used in the October revolution. Consequently, it is clear that Kerensky had a key role in 1917, holding important government positions and ultimately losing the support of both the left and the right, allowing the Bolsheviks to take power. Not only was Kerensky s lack of knowledge of the ideologies Kornilov had his failure, but also the fact that he armed the opposition. From the point Kerensky armed the red guards it was inevitable that a different leader would emerge, either Kornilov or

The book Grendel, written by John Gardner, and the poem Beowulf, translated by Seamus Heaney, both have very distinct opinions on what role each character plays. The translator of Beowulf and the writer of Grendel follow the idea that everyone has a story. A story is the writer s perspective on a character s personality, the way people in the story see and treat the character, and the way it ties the ideas together. There are many examples in these two writings of this concept, but the main instances connect with the lives of Grendel, Beowulf, and Unferth. Unferth is a very out of the ordinary individual. In Beowulf, the writer s perspective on Unferth is a pathetic warrior who couldn t win even the simplest of fights. When first introduced in the poem Beowulf, it s hard to feel sympathy for Unferth because he is in verbal conflict with Beowulf, insulting Beowulf. When switching to the outside view in the book Grendel, it becomes apparent that Unferth isn t just doing this to pick a fight. Grendel has been his arch enemy ever since the twelve year war started. Unferth was embarrassed and infuriated in his first meeting with Grendel when Grendel said I m going to carry you back to Hrothgar, safe and sound (p.90). The other people in the book think he s supposed to be the savior of the kingdom, yet he can t even come close to killing Grendel and when he does attempt to kill Grendel, Grendel just laughs and teases him. This idea of embarrassment drives Unferth mad with rage. When Beowulf comes along, he claims that he has done all these heroic and outstanding things. What initially started out as an enormous search for trade in gold, spices, and etc., ended up turning into an callous human trading system of exporting African slaves, which would continue for well over 400 years. Five years ago a family vacation to Jamaica changed the way I saw everything and made me appreciate the people I love and where I come from. It all started with the worst airplane ride. About thirty minutes into the ride the flight attendant started going around offering snacks. These purple potato chips caught my eye so that s what I decided to get. I should have known something so bright couldn t have been good to eat. I instantly regretted eating the chip after taking a bite out of that awfully weird tasting potato chip because immediately after, I felt a striking pain in my lower abdomen. I tried to relieve the pain by loosening the seat belt buckle. I drank gingerale, tried to position myself differently to feel less discomfort but nothing helped. My brother was too busy on his I pad to care, my other brother was too young to formulate proper sentences and my mom was too far gone in her sleep, she couldn t have been any help fresh out of slumber. I just rocked back and forth releasing oohs and ah s here and there because the pain was intolerable. The target audience of The Go Nowhere Generation is educated older adults and parents, who are most likely to share the authors views. The authors implement a series of comparisons, which include statistics and descriptions, between the past and present generation of youngadults to illustrate their position. However, though the authors make several valid points that are supported by solid evidence, the article falls short of being truly convincing due to its narrow views... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Buchholzes use data skillfully to show the downfall of the young person. The authors extend the comparisons using descriptions and adjectives. The past generation of youths was made up of go getters eager to hit the road and find freedom ; they were even the inspiration for Bruce Springsteen s vivacious album, Born to Run. The authors claim that today s youths are far from that, holding nothing back as they describe the young people of this generation. Risk averse and sedentary, they don t bother to get their driver s licenses, are satisfied to be at home browsing Facebook, and put too much faith in luck than effort. In other words, Generation Y has become Generation Why Bother. The authors appeal to the audience s sense of patriotism, stating that American is a nation of movers and shakers and enumerating the accounts of bravery shown by the youths of previous generations, images that are admittedly different from the image they have crafted of the modern young person. The praises and favorable descriptions that the authors lavish upon previous generations of youths contrast sharply with the lackluster and borderline insulting descriptions of today s young adults. The juxtapositions accentuate how far Generation Y has fallen from its predecessors and prove, once again, that its constituents are leading stagnant lives. Even though the authors have valid points and cite credible sources, their argument fails to be effective in several ways. For one,

Woolman, the first leader of Delta Air Lines, believed that the company should take care of its employees so that, in return they would take care of customers. At the root of this care included effectively communicating with his teams and empowering them to make the right decisions. As Debra Nelson and James Quick reference in Organizational Behavior: Science, the Real World, and You, (2013, p. 283) ...communication, especially between managers and employees, is a critical foundation for effective performance in organizations...this is especially critical when leaders are articulating vision and achieving buy in from employees. The Internal Topology Of The Park Bench Topology: Internal Topology: The internal topology within this performance relies heavily on the fact that the stage is rounded and there is a single park bench (split in half and facing opposite ways) in the centre of it. The cyclical view of life is not only symbolically represented through the stage to the audience but also by the nature of the stage in regards to the actors. The two characters as at the opposite end of a shared cycle is also represented through the utilisation and manipulation of the park bench. Marion s book is able to represent the shift that is to occur as Marion exits the cycle of her life and the Girl is to enter. Thus, the internal topology as per the spacing of elements on the stage is instrumental in portraying the intended meaning for the greatest audience impact. One of the greatest challenges regarding the internal topology of this play is the notion of having an eighty year old woman meet a sixteen year old version of herself as the preconceived notion of space and time shifts. This is dealt with across the technical disciplines through the unity in developing their individual roles and the contrasting display of their relationship. The notion of such meeting can be perceived as quite strange to an audience when presented as reality however it is through the manipulation of their roles and their relationship, achieved by the various technical disciplines, that such occurrence is able to be achieved. The similar pattern in inflation and the Fed Funds Rate can be seen in the two graphs below. If the Federal Open Market Committee does not increase the rate of the growing Fed Funds Rate within the next few quarters the likeliness of another recession increases. One of the major causes for American involvement was communism as North Vietnam was supported by communist countries like China and the Soviet Union. South Vietnam was supported by the anti communist countries of America, South Korea and other nations. This war was very unpopular in America and many citizens wanted an end to American involvement, which lead to protests involving thousands of people across the country. The VietnamWar protests are an example of mob mentality because of the large amount of violent protestors. Deindividuation happened during the protests when the protestors took on the morals and ideas of the group. Many of the protests would take place at Universities across the nation. Protests would often be held at colleges because the students would fall victim to to mentality (Morrissey). They would take on the view opposing the war and the students would take part in protests. The protesters would act as a group during the protests and act less like an individual. • 42. The Theory On Rainbow Formation And The Mechanics Of Them... Rainbows and the mechanics of them have been studied since ancient times. Greek philosophers had some understanding of the role of refraction, scientists in the 13th century produced theories on rainbow formation, and in the 17th century, Rene Descartes sketched out the conditions required to observe a rainbow(Douma). There are two key aspects that affect a rainbow, and these include the altitude of the sun and the size of the raindrops. The colors of the rainbow are because of two basic facts: Sunlight is made up of the whole range of colors that the eye can detect. The range of sunlight colors, when combined, looks white to the eye. This property of sunlight was first demonstrated by Sir Isaac Newton in 1666. Light of different colors is refracted by different amounts when it passes from one medium (air, for example) into another (water or glass, for example) (University Corporation for Atmospheric Research). Determining whether or not the wavelengths will go through the raindrops or reflect depends on the angle that the light falls on the backside of the raindrop. Each rain droplet has a function in the formation of the rainbow. Sunlight enters the rain droplet at a specific angle and the rain droplet separates the white light into many different colors. This angle is a fixed measurement between your eye and the sun. What color that is refracted is dependent on the critical angle, the angle the sunlight strikes the back of the rain droplet (Mahlen). To some, therapeutic communication involves the process of verbal interactions between two or more people. This interaction can exchange information, elaborate on a topic, or formulate opinion in a day to day process. Day to day communication, however, does not rely on building and grouping information for a distinctive cause, thus the aim of communication is not focused on personal rapport but through a process where information is exchanged between individuals, (Merriam Webster,2015). Likewise, person centered communication is targeted toward interpersonal contact, the sharing of experience, and a deep understanding of self and other, (Motschnig Nykl, 2014). Person centered communication combines the feelings and thoughts of all involved not the needs and wants of the individual, however, a significant element of person centered care is effective therapeutic communication between care providers and clients, (Schwind,McCay, Metersky, Martin, 2016). To many, communication stands alone and encompasses behaviors for those involved to develop ways to set a more functional personal structure of conveying information. Communication is a complex process of sending and receiving messages. Similarly, therapy alone does not include communication but is an action of doing or treating. By definition therapy is treatment intended to relive or heal a disorder, (Meriam Webster, 2015). Therapeutic communication in a hospital setting is essential in maintaining good quality of life because it allows the provider to interact with the patient while at the same time providing comfort. In order to provide care that is therapeutic there should be demonstration of respect and compassion while communicating with the patient (Webster, 2013). The belief that all communication is therapeutic overlooks the person as a human being or the patient as an emotional

This bill would allow water authorities to propose a referendum for the cessation of fluoridation of county water supply. As a citizen of district 3 and of a fluoridated county, I would greatly appreciate the ability to vote for whether or not I would like to consume water with fluoride in it. I believe that a choice in the matter would greatly benefit every county and its citizens. According to World Health Organization data obtained from a study on 12 year old s levels of tooth decay, fluoride has had very little effect, if any at all, on tooth decay. Countries such as Japan, Italy, and Iceland, who are non fluoridated countries, actually have about the same level of tooth decay decrease as countries that have fluoridated water. Fluoride is considered a drug, according to the FDA, which means that it is a medical treatment. Medical treatments are not to be given unless the patient agrees to the treatment, therefore, placing fluoride into the public water supply violates informed consent seeing as how citizens are not given the opportunity to vote on the matter.
