Bicycling is a low impact exercise that mainly utilizes the lower extremeties that
can be beneficial to people ranging from a youthful child to an elderly individual.
Using a pedal to ride a bike on a regular basis can increase muscle strength and
flexibility (Better Health Channel, 2015). There are two different stages, the Power
phase and the Recovery phase. To better understand these phases imagine a clock,
most of the power happens between the 12 and 5 o clock position of the pedal
stroke. This is when a majority of the primary muscles are activated. Hip flexion,

recovery stage begins between the 6 and 12 o clock position in the pedal

identified. With their eyes covered and their noses plugged, the subjects could rarely
determine which flavour of jellybean they were testing. However, when the subjects

successful; with one subject being able to determine all five jellybean flavours.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the perception of flavour is dependent on both

As I finished the last words of the novel, my jaw dropped. It s such an incredible
classic book. Not truly a science fiction lover, I did not really think I would enjoy it,
as I don t really like the aliens and spaceships in other science fiction novels. The
novel is, at first glimpse, a little peculiar and strange, but once you really get into it,
you realize how sad and how good of a moral this story has. It really draws you in
and opens your eyes to the world around you.
The story is told in such a unique way that it hooked me in after the first chapter. It
is told in progress reports of the main character, Charlie Gordon, which is such an
academically genius idea because the reader is able to see how Charlie s intelligence
grows. The opening paragraph (the first progress report), throws us into this world.
Personally, I really do recommend reading this book. The impact the novel can

An Analysis of Dover Beach by Matthew Arnold
Dover Beach is thought to be one of the best representations of the Victorian Period
all together. It portrays the mood and tone of what the people experienced and felt at
that time. Around the same time it was written, London had just experienced a
massive boom in their population, growing from 2 to 6 million citizens. At the same
time, London was becoming one of the first in the country to move towards
industrialization, causing some to lose their jobs due to machinery performing them
better and faster. People began to feel useless with technology taking over so
quickly. Many suffered from the expansion during the early part, losing all hope of
finding happiness and giving this moment in time a new name; A Time of Troubles .
Many other authors, like Matthew Arnold, began writing their personal accounts of
what they experienced or saw others experiencing, giving the feeling of melancholy.
The reason why Dover Beach represents the Victorian period is because in the way
