1. Gentlemen:<br />Since June 2007, I was assigned Managing Director of the Brazilian Business Unit of a leading Aerospace Tier 1 supplier, to all major Commercial and Military Jets and Helicopters World Wide OEM’s.<br />From Plants and Offices located in Europe and Americas we serve Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, Sikorsky, from Product and Industrial Engineering to product subassemblies production.<br />Since 2007 I have been providing direction and leadership to upgrade the Brazilian Business Unit Results, Product Quality and Productivity levels. I have been focused in significant plant reorganization, adjusting processes and work force best practices leading to overall performance next levels.<br />Lean Manufacturing, Production Controls and Metrics were instrumental to the continuous improvement and achievement of targeted objectives.<br />As a result Direct Labor Productivity increased over 20% and the Value Added per total employees increased over 15 % in 2009 closing the year with 11% bottom line result, coming from a negative 10% in previous year.<br />Today, the perspective of a Senior Management position in a much larger Industry is my goal.<br />I strongly feel competent in meeting the requirements for such position not only in the EQUIPMENT, AUTOMOTIVE- AUTOPARTS, AEROSPACE industries, but also in some other INDUSTRIAL field. Managing at Dresser-Rand, Van Leer, Valeo and a Multinational Aerospace Tier 1 company, gave me that experience.<br />My Engineering background, applied during 10 years in the process Heavy Equipment design, gave me the hands-on knowledge of Technical Marketing / Sales, development of complex proposal presentations and customer meetings, covering the equipment, auxiliary systems and controls, for the major USA, CANADA and BRAZIL based, oil companies.<br />The General Managing experience for over 15 years, consolidated my knowledge in Financial and Business matters to prepare Strategic Plans, Sales, Operational and Financial Budgets, Corporate Reporting, i.e P&L accountability requirements and business decision making competence.<br />From March 1998 till April 2001 I was Director of Operations for International Caminhões do Brasil LTD, the Brazilian subsidiary of the International Truck and Engine Corporation.<br /> International is one major truck manufacturer in North America and world leading manufacturer of Diesel Engines up to 300 hp. I was responsible for the successful START UP of the Truck Assembly Plant at Caxias do Sul, RS and the Benchmarking and Cost Reduction task forces coordination to successfully include all models under FINAME – credit lines - rules.<br />While the production facility was ran through a labor contract with a third party, I had direct responsibility to run the Caxias Operations, establishing equipment, processes and guarantee the delivering of production on time, on budget and with the expected quality.<br />Two START UP’s at Valeo ( Valeo Electrical Systems and Valeo Climate Control Divisions) in Brazil, allowed me to relate very closely to Project Management, Production Best Practices (Production Systems, JIT, Hoshin, Kaizen, etc...) and WW Valeo Corporate Management System. <br />The operations turn around of the Mexican plant of the Valeo Climate Control Division, completed in less then 2 years, resulted in the achievement of the best metrics among all Valeo plants:<br />Operational Excellence for” the Best financially ran Group Divison Award”, granted among more than 100 business units of Valeo.<br />Reduction of inventory levels in more than 50% ( < 5% of annualized sales) achieving the best sustained level within the group plants.<br />First plant to be certified QS9000.<br />Recession and reduction of import taxes in Brazil during the last decades, forced me to take strong lead of restructuring actions, including downsizing and extensive cost reduction programs, under a continuing improvement environment.<br />In all career positions, the contact with the client has been a constant. <br />Specific Strategic Plans, resulted in an outstanding market share increases in Van Leer and Dresser-Rand.<br />International experience gives me the capability to relate to the business in a global way.<br />I am energetic and up to date with general Business Trends and I trust that my experience can match the Business Strategy Development needs of Multinational companies in Brazil or elsewhere.<br />Sincerely<br />Francisco Nozolino de Azevedo<br />fna@terra.com.br<br />Cel: 12 81248125<br />10/02/2010<br />
