Key responsibilities:

2. * Complex fault finding, minor repairs and preventive
maintenance on a variety of LV/HV electrical equipments and
associated switchgear.
* Identifying requirements for major repairs, replacements and
workshop reconditioning work to be carried out
* Updating preventive maintenance records for work done,
including electrical drawings
* Carrying out electrical equipment fault finding and repair
work. Diagnosing, checking and repairing faults on various
items of equipment in the power generation and distribution
system, including AC generators, and auto voltage regulators,
synchronising equipment and protection relays
* Using millimetres, Insulation resistance meters, and cable
fault location techniques on motors, electronic control systems
and circuit breakers
* Repairing faults by repairing or replacing parts on relays,
breakers, contractors, isolators and other switchgear
components
* Carrying out routine maintenance of various power
generation and distribution equipments and related
switchgears, and other equipments such as motors, pumps,
transformers, cranes and hoists. Include inspecting and testing
equipments according to check-lists, calibrating relays as
required. Cleaning and replacing defective or worn parts.
Dismantling and repairing starters, drive systems, generators,
alternators and switches. Restarting and testing equipments in
running condition
* Overhauling of electrical equipments, including stripping
down units, changing parts, replacing electronic cards and
bench testing equipment before re-installation. Maintaining
various electrical tools, test equipments and domestic
appliances such as kitchen ranges, dishwashers, hot water
boilers, washing machines, onboard entertainment systems,
ensuring that all function correctly
* Carrying out various complex maintenance and repair tasks
