I have worked within the engineering industry since 1976 in aerospace, pump
technology and as a designer and sales engineer for workholding standard and
specialised to selling surface finishing and deburring equipment, my experience
is as follows:
2014-2016
Koti-RIB, Koti-Dawson
External sales engineer, responsible for Key account management and seeking
new business for two companies within the Koti group. Selling Koti products
mainly technical brush solutions for industry within the metal, food,
pharmaceutical sectors. Responsible for opening up Ford Motor Company and
introducing Koti as the new brush partner within Europe. Opening up Tata Steel
Orb works for strip metal cleaning and furnace roller brushes. Selling
manufactured solutions and standard brushes.
2013- 2014
Pacehigh Ltd.
Technical Sales Engineer – South England.
Responsible for internal and external technical sales, to advise existing customers
and new prospects in the selection and use of product. To liaise with customers at
all levels to achieve a satisfactory result and to close sales.
To prepare detailed quotations and where necessary to draw up special
application deburring tools. To instigate free parts processing, to take a
customer component and process at Pacehigh to produce detailed process sheets
to further ensure sales closures and demonstrate effectiveness of product.
Components processed range from complex valve blocks for cross hole
deburring to honing bores to achieve relevant surface finish criteria.
To manage and maintain key accounts and prospect for new sales. Visiting
exiting business accounts and prospecting for new business within the specified
sales area.
To keep close records on the company system of all contacts and discussions and
to plan carefully all visits and office based work.

2. 1997- 2012
WDS Component Parts Ltd
Project & Technical Sales Engineer:
Responsible for design and project management of special precision tooling for
the aerospace, automotive and defence industry. From idea to AutoCAD sketch
proposals, to final design manufacturing drawings.
Projects in the main were manual clamping and precision positioning fixtures to
facilitate machining processes on CNC milling and boring machines. The
bespoke designs included head and block machining fixtures for Ford DVM4
engine project, prototype Ford V6 crankshaft end journal machining fixtures,
prototype head and block machining fixtures for Mahle Powertrain, engine
block machining fixtures for Mercedes AMG High Performance Engines. Special
fixture designs also included hydraulically powered 3 meter tables for machining
Airbus A320 spars and many other projects.
Any requirement was considered down to press tools for assembling bearings
for Adwest Manufacturing.
The designs for the tooling were conceived from liaison with management,
engineers and operators to provide the best functional designs.
All design carried out on AutoCAD mostly in 2D, inventor was also used mainly
to allow models to be downloaded and examined prior to being converted to
Autocad.
Proprietary products were used where necessary and the responsibility of the
role included costing and specifying products when required. Supplier product
knowledge was used wherever possible in these instances to ensure design
parameters where adhered to.

Responsible for internal sales and technical support becoming involved with
larger projects and assemblies for the oil business and subsequently responsible
for managing quality issues and ISO certification for the company.

Bae Hatfield
Senior Manufacturing Engineer:
Responsible for the BAe 146 aircraft nose build which involved all engineering
functions and day to day build support. Processed all concessions, and undertook
engineering trouble shooting, build planning and applied technical
improvements. Implemented cost saving plans and became involved with J.I.T
and Kanban manufacturing techniques.
Senior Planning Engineer:
Responsible for planning the assembly of the BAe 146 aircraft nose along with
implementation of modifications as well as identifying and rectifying tooling
design issues.
Toolmaker:
All milling, turning and fitting involved in aircraft tooling manufacture.
Apprentice Toolmaker:
Learned my trade.
This indicates my progression through BAe Hatfield until the site was closed
down in 1993-1994.
CAD and general computer usage experience:
I am fully PC conversant with all menu based systems. I am an experienced CAD
designer using AutoCAD and Inventor 3D design packages. I can read all
production type drawings and am familiar with most machining techniques.
