The main work carried out on major projects was large scale caulking of marble, granite, tiles,
windows, floor, stone and concrete slab together with caulking of roof and facade cladding, including
curtain walls. Waterproofing work such as The Esso House project required the application of
bituthene membrane to all garden area and roof deck. I’ve worked on repair and restoration work such
as Treasury Place and Custom House.
Due to my extensive experience and specialist skills in sealant application methods, many of my jobs
have been on projects that require attention to detail due to their intricate and detailed nature; such
projects include ANZ, QV, Bourke Place, Crown Casino and The Eureka Tower.
As part of my role as Leading Hand at 1 Treasury and The Sheraton Hotel Project I was responsible for
the supervision of all the caulking work carried out and I was required to organize and supervise the
assembly and dismount of heavy duty swing scaffolding.
My work at the Eureka Building included caulking of the roof cladding on level 92. This involved
wearing a safety harness which was secured to anchor points on the roof slab. The height extremities
of this project highlighted the importance of workplace health and safety. I relied on my commitment
and knowledge of good work practice and OH&S responsibilities to ensure my work environment was
safe at all times and without risks to my health and others.
During my time at B & P Caelli’s I was acting supervisor, this role was occupied by me when the
senior supervisor was on leave. Duties included -
• Supervision and allocation of daily work for 20 staff
• Delivery of material to work sites
• Job quoting
• Provide on call client service
