I initially started working at Koyo Bearings as an operative and through hard work, commitment,
determination and presenting excellent team player skills I was promoted to Machine Setter to set
CNC machines and Centreless Grinding Machines for the production of high precision bearings,
after 3 years I was promoted again to Supervisor whichI am to date, my duties include shift
handovers fromthe previous shift Supervisor where health and safety is discussed and I then
complete my own risk assessment and health and safety checksand ordering and issuing PPE when
and were nessesary, assess production needs i.e : stockchecks,manning levels, prioritize and
delegate to my team setters, dealing with time keeping and attendance and sorting staff'sbackto
workinterviews. I also have 3 other departments to continuously check.Monitoring staff and 5 s
condition Answering and reporting any problems to my senior Manager.
2000- 2002Kerry Foods
I had a planned route to deliver sandwiches/confectionery and other foods,besides my planned
route I also coldcalled to canvass fornew customers, offeringplanned appointments using,
organisational skills to operate a functional diary system, building good customer relationships,
adapting conversational skills to suit the customer at the time. I also handled cash sales and dealt
with accountcustomers this included some large food chains, Monitoring the sales and stock of
each individual shop to meet the individual shop needs to suit their customer base. I attended sales
meeting to discuss targets and how to achieve these targets, each sales person was responsible for
there ownstock levels including replenishing orders and growing your customer base.
1990– 2000Plastona/Vanleer
I commenced my employment as a machine operative and was quickly promoted to Foreman, my
duties included organising material handling to feed plastic extrusion machines, stockrotation,
driving a forklift truck,counterbalance and reach trucks accepting deliveries and distributing of
various materials also dealing with Jungheinrich for the use and rentals of their fleet of trucks.
1988- 1990 ICC ( Selfemployed)
I subcontracted myself to ICC and workedon the Meadowhall Shopping Complex when it was being
built I undertook all aspects of the concretingside of the construction of the Complex this included
driving diggers, dumpers, all terrain forklifts, fixing steel workbefore concrete was poured and
finishing floors withpower floats.
1984-1988 OldfieldConstruction
As a school leaver I was interested and eager to learn the construction trade, I commenced my
employment as a general building labourer as I progressed and learned more about the trade I
started to drive dumpers, diggers, tippers to dig footings out and assist in general groundwork’s the
3. company also branched out into shop fitting workand woncontracts from NEXTwhichinvolved
upgrading there existing shops.
Additional Information
I am ambitious, hardworking, punctual, reliable and conscientious. I workwell under pressure,
either on my ownor as part of a team. Other attributes include being self-motivated, positive,
friendly and understanding. I believe that these qualities have assisted me in the supervision of
staff, and when dealing withclients and the public.
