Teachers have several important roles and responsibilities, including striving to help every student reach their potential, creating engaging lessons, and maintaining professional boundaries. An effective teacher is knowledgeable, committed to students, critically reflective, and responsible for monitoring learning. Teachers must apply discipline promptly and fairly, treat all students equally, and show compassion. Maintaining accurate records of assessments, assignments, profiles and more supports the teaching and learning process. A teacher's role is to influence students' growth, empower them for the future, and continuously improve their own knowledge and teaching methods.
