● Venus, the goddess of love,
became jealous of Psyche's
beauty and ordered her son,
Cupid, to make Psyche fall in
love with the ugliest man on
earth.

pricked himself with his own
arrow and fell in love with
Psyche.
● Cupid took Psyche to a palace
where he visited her at night, but
he warned her never to look at
him.

Venus gave Psyche a huge pile of
mixed grains (wheat, barley, millet,

asked her to sort them all out and
put them in separate piles by
morning. With the help of ants,
Psyche was able to complete the
task in one night.

Collect golden wool from
dangerous sheep: For her second
task, Venus commanded Psyche to
retrieve a handful of golden wool
from a herd of dangerous sheep.
These sheep had sharp horns and
breathed fire, but with the help of a
talking reed, Psyche was able to
avoid danger and retrieve the wool.

Fill a flask with water from the
River Styx: Venus's third task for
Psyche was to fill a flask with water
from the River Styx, which was
guarded by a dragon. With the help
of Zeus, who gave her a protective
vessel to hold the water, and an
eagle, who collected the water for
her, Psyche was able to complete
the task.

Venus still tried to prevent their
love from flourishing.
● Venus gave Psyche a final
task. She gave Psyche a box
which she has to carry to the
underworld and ask
Persephone to fill with some of
her beauty.

Psyche's lack of trust in Cupid led to her
disobeying his instructions, which caused their
separation. Trust is a crucial element in any
relationship, and without it, there can be no
true intimacy.

Psyche's journey to win back Cupid's love was long
and arduous, but she never gave up. Her
perseverance ultimately led to her reunion with
Cupid and their happy ending. This shows that
perseverance in the face of obstacles can lead to
great rewards.

Psyche had to make several sacrifices to prove her
love for Cupid, including enduring various trials and
