4. ABSTRACT /INTRODUCTION
•on an average India produce 10,000 coconut per hectare. India ranks 3rd position
behind Philippines and Indonesia ,in coconut production. we use only inner testy part
of coconut and
• the outer part ,husk is not fully used. We make many things out of it ,coconut husk
is a lignocelluloses biomass, so that we can make paper and single use cup & plates.
•Coconut peel or husk is always been a problem to society near temple, this coconut
husk can be used to make plates and cups that can be used during bhandara in
temples which will replace the use of plastic plates cup.
5. PROBLEMS
Large amount of coconut husk present near temples.
Use of plastic plates during bhandara.
Hence, plastic waste accumulation.
6. SOLUTION & METHODOLOGY
To reduce the use of plastic plates and cups and also to use the available coconut
husk we are making plates and cups using coconut husk. Coconut husk is rich in
lignin which act as a natural glue which activates under heat and pressure hence
we can make cups and plates out of it.
Steps of manufacturing
1. Coconut husk is removed from coconut shell.
2. Husk is boiled with water.
3. After that it is cooked in pressure cocker for 1 hour.
4. It is then grind to make coconut slurry and then pulp from it, and
5. At last we can make cup and plates from the coco pulp.
7. WORKING PRINCIPLE
The working principle of hot press , is the preheating and suppression of two working
process, of course, pressing things must first melt to suppress it, this is mainly due to
the heat conduction oil in hot press,
after the heat conduction oil through a series of steps
to suppress surface until its suppression this is the
process of melting, heat conduction, molten material
after a strong suppression of hot press, finished pressing the.
8. RESULT/ OUTCOME
• It reduce the polystyrene plates and replace it with biodegradable coco
plate.
• It increases the income of villagers .
9. FUTURE SCOPE
•We can make coco plate more durable with the help of adhesive .
•We can use It as a permanent kitchen ware.
• We can make it more heat and water resistant.
10. CONCLUSION
We can use biodegradable coco plates instead of plastic plate.
therefore it minimize the plastic waste materials. and it is also
Eco-friendly because we can not use any chemicals.
