DECEMBER 2011 – JUNE 2012
It aims to reflect the cultural
 inheritance, historical background of
 the people living in the district and
 bound the elder generation to the
 younger ones to provide cultural
 awareness.
Besides, using the latest technological
 devices, it intends to inject the cultural
 and the historical awareness to
 maintain the cultural unification.
While doing this project, we have
 been using:
Meetings and Interviews
Exibitions and Seminars
Competitions
Sports and folk dances
Supporting projects
Debates and presentations
We divided the project into three
 groups.
The 1st group: 1-4 grade students
The 2nd group: 5-6 grade students
The 3rd group: 7-8 grade students
We also purpose
to outline the differences between
 the cultures of the people coming
 from different regions of the country,
to help them share a unique cultural
 identity in harmony,
to be models to the next generation
to trigger the communication
 between the teachers, students and
 parents.
Therefore,
Students can become more
 responsible
The feeling of being a part of
 a team can motivate the
 participants
SCHEDULE
DECEMBER
A meeting for informing the participants
 about the project
Creating groups
Preparing the surveys on our culture,
 handing them out and collecting data at the
 end of the month
Assignments for the groups
Group 1: collecting data on their district and
 doing presentations
Group 2 and 3: collecting datum on the
 reasons of the migration to Sultanbeyli and
 doing presentations
Preparing the corners about the culture of
 the Black Sea Region.
Collecting souvenirs and clothes of the same
 region
Doing a presentation about the meals and the
 desserts of the region by bringing some to the
 school 
Deciding on the places to visit during the
 project
Giving seminars to the students on “Hygiene
 and Healthy Life” (topic of the month-
 TEACHING THE VALUES)

 as their family tree by hanging the names
 of their family members on each branch of
 the tree).
Displaying the gathered information about
 the Eastern Anatolia Region
A famous face of our culture ‘Mevlana’
 Giving seminars to the students on ‘Love and
 Respect’ (Topic of the month - TEACHING
 THE VALUES)
Keeping students aware- A seminar titled
 ‘Diabetics’
Finding slogans on protecting our cultural
 values
Holding a competition (the products made of
 the waste materials, displaying the products
 won)
Informative trips for the pupils to the
 museums and cultural places.

Assignment to all the groups:
Making a video of an elder member telling the
old customs, discussing on how to get attached
to the elder generation and enhance the
connection in between. Hence, to evaluate and
synthesize the suggestions in order to improve
the project which will carry on next year.

Culture of living

  • 1. DECEMBER 2011 – JUNE 2012
  • 2. It aims to reflect the cultural inheritance, historical background of the people living in the district and bound the elder generation to the younger ones to provide cultural awareness. Besides, using the latest technological devices, it intends to inject the cultural and the historical awareness to maintain the cultural unification.
  • 3. While doing this project, we have been using: Meetings and Interviews Exibitions and Seminars Competitions Sports and folk dances Supporting projects Debates and presentations
  • 4. We divided the project into three groups. The 1st group: 1-4 grade students The 2nd group: 5-6 grade students The 3rd group: 7-8 grade students
  • 5. We also purpose to outline the differences between the cultures of the people coming from different regions of the country, to help them share a unique cultural identity in harmony, to be models to the next generation to trigger the communication between the teachers, students and parents.
  • 6. Therefore, Students can become more responsible The feeling of being a part of a team can motivate the participants
  • 8. DECEMBER A meeting for informing the participants about the project Creating groups Preparing the surveys on our culture, handing them out and collecting data at the end of the month Assignments for the groups Group 1: collecting data on their district and doing presentations Group 2 and 3: collecting datum on the reasons of the migration to Sultanbeyli and doing presentations
  • 9. Preparing the corners about the culture of the Black Sea Region. Collecting souvenirs and clothes of the same region Doing a presentation about the meals and the desserts of the region by bringing some to the school  Deciding on the places to visit during the project Giving seminars to the students on “Hygiene and Healthy Life” (topic of the month- TEACHING THE VALUES)

JANUARY Assignment for all of the groups: Preparing a booklet on cultural tales, stories, legends and riddles. Displaying the gathered information about the Central Anatolia Region Doing interviews with the residents about the culture of Turkey (hormony of different cultures) Doing an art competition about culture of living in Turkey

APRIL Group 1: Acting out a folk story Group 2:Determining the reasons of being unemployed as a result of the immigration Group 3: The problems the ethnic groups encounter in İstanbul and Turkey. Forestation around the school area by the kindergarten students (They use the trees as their family tree by hanging the names of their family members on each branch of the tree).
  • 32. Displaying the gathered information about the Eastern Anatolia Region A famous face of our culture ‘Mevlana’  Giving seminars to the students on ‘Love and Respect’ (Topic of the month - TEACHING THE VALUES) Keeping students aware- A seminar titled ‘Diabetics’ Finding slogans on protecting our cultural values Holding a competition (the products made of the waste materials, displaying the products won) Informative trips for the pupils to the museums and cultural places.

Hence, to evaluate and synthesize the suggestions in order to improve the project which will carry on next year.
