The cable industry is evolving from analogue to digital. The current system that Cable Operators follow doesn't help in implementing the TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) regulations to implement subscriber management. There is Smartphone movement in India where the availability of Smartphone's & mobile internet is more and cost effective. By considering the fact, the solution for the said problem will be implemented as android mobile application. The required business logic will be implemented through Web Services and designed android application will use those Web Services hosted on to the cloud. This ensures to provide cost effective solution to the Cable Operator. Cable Operators can manage their subscribers, billing & collection from anywhere & anytime through the android application.

Pricing the future automotive retail market: connectivityDaniel Bracke
Automotive consumers are fundamentally shifting their
view of the automobile from a product to a mobility solution
that delivers seamless connectivity and a consistent omnichannel
experience including excellent aftermarket services.
These trends will require automotive original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs) to shift their retail pricing from a
product to customer-centric approach. Developing multivehicle
branded mobility solutions with integrated telematics
to provide consumer-specific connectivity options and
predictive aftermarket services will become a market necessity
to maintain brand loyalty.
Mobile money services deliver a host of services that enable banked and unbanked consumers to save, borrow, transfer and spend money using their mobile. Providing a range of seamless financial services, arriving from the concept of e-banking and branchless banking, mobile money has immensely grown to become a viable alternative to cash.

Ninety Consulting: The Omnichannel InsurerDan White
Some insurers are already pursuing omnichannel, but other sectors, e.g. retail, are seen as more advanced and could yield lessons for insurers. In Part 1 of this two-part paper, we look at some of the initiatives and issues that are emerging as insurers try to move to an omnichannel approach. In Part 2, released separately, we look at examples and lessons from other sectors and try to answer the question ‘What can insurers learn about omnichannel from other industry sectors?’ We will conclude by making some keynote recommendations and predictions about the changing nature of omnichannel and its impact on the insurance sector.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
