Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development
Group Project (scenario)
You are interested in making a documentary entitled « A Good Corporate Citizen », and
you must present your project to a group of possible producers.
Instructions:
Choose a company that interests you with strong corporate responsibility and sustainable
development policies and compare them to those of its main competitors on the market. Your aim is
to show that the company you have chosen has the most exemplary attitude towards its employees,
the community and the environment and merits funding for a documentary about it.
Oral Presentation (filmed)
8 minute presentation/documentary, 4 people per group.
You could break down your presentation into the following categories:
1) Company Profile
Company name, founder, and date of creation, head office, type of company, personnel,
products/services, turnover, and competition on the market.
2) Employee Benefits
What does the company do for its employees?
Comparison with main competitors
3) Community Benefits
What does it do for the community?
Comparison with main competitors
4) Environment/ Planet
What does it do for the planet?
Comparison with main competitors
Evaluation
Language Skills (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc...)
Presentation Skills
Professionalism, persuasiveness
Executive Summary
Each group is required to hand in a 1,000 word report (typed) outlining the main points of your
research.
Deadline: week 9
25/03 for Tuesday groups and 26/03 for Wednesday groups.
