What did you learn that you did not already know?
This has been like some of the other material that we have covered. I have had exposure to many of the concepts in my master’s program but with this material I am provided both reinforcement of those concept understandings and present new perspectives on them. The from Management Information Systems: Managing the Digital Firm was particularly helpful. Material such as this can often require several iterations of review to begin to develop an understanding of how it can be applied. I have had exposure to similar material but being able to understand how to apply these concepts benefits considerably form exposure to new sources. This material is not abstract but at times being able to apply it in a practice manner almost does seem abstract. Being able to read this material helps me solidify thoughts and ideas on how to concretely implement them in real life situations, this type of process for me is something that requires deeper understanding of the “theory of operations”, for a lack of better words. In course I have gotten a lot of that.
What are some problems that are apparent in the field?
I am going to inject some major bias at this point as my masters was in software engineering and focused on enterprise architecture, IT systems research, software project management, and object-oriented paradigm. To me one of the biggest problems in the industries I have been in is shear negligence in researching the concepts of what software engineering is and how to manage information systems or information technology. The decision-making process is often left to those who have no technical background, two who’s motivations are at best questionable, and three have no concept of the magnitude or time line of projects. There is an abundant source of research, magazines, and various other forms of literature explicitly addressing these things in a practical manner oriented strictly towards helping organizations undertake such endeavors. I by no means consider myself to be an expert but I often find myself in a situation where I ask what should be some basic questions about projects and in return I receive an answer akin to “what are you talking about” or “I have never heard of that” or “I don’t know I never thought about that”.

How to Conduct a Case Analysis
The process of analyzing strategic management cases involves several steps. In this section, we review five steps to follow in preparing a case analysis.
Before beginning, point out that there are two prerequisites for effective case analysis. First, unless students prepare for a case discussion, there is little they can gain from the discussion and even less that they can offer.
Second, to get the most out of case analysis, students need to place themselves “inside” the case in order to think like an actual participant in the case situation. Before beginning the analysis, it may be helpful to envision assuming one of these roles:
1. Strategic Decision-MakerThe position of the senior executive responsible for resolving the situation that the case describes. It may be the CEO, the business owner, or a strategic manager in a key executive position.
2. Board of DirectorsThe Board of Directors has a responsibility to step in when a management crisis threatens the company. A board member may be in a unique position to solve problems.
3. Outside ConsultantConsultants often have an advantage because they can look at a situation objectively. But they may also be at a disadvantage since they have no power to enforce changes.
A. Become Familiar with the Material
Written cases often include a lot of material. The following technique can enhance comprehension:
1.Read through the case once quickly to get an overall sense of the material.
2.Use the initial read-through to assess possible links to strategic concepts.
3.Read through the case again, in depth. Make written notes as you read.
4.Evaluate how strategic concepts might inform key decisions or suggest alternative solutions.
5.After formulating an initial recommendation, thumb through the case again to assess the consequences of the actions you propose.
B.Identify Problems
One of the main reasons to conduct case analysis is to find solutions. Unless you know the problem, however, it is meaningless to attempt to find an answer. Some cases have more than one problem. Even so, emphasize that the problems are usually related.
When trying to determine the problem, it is easy to get hung up on symptoms. Emphasize the importance of seeing beyond the immediate symptoms to the more fundamental problems.
Another tip when preparing a case analysis is to articulate the problem. Point out that writing down a problem statement provides a reference point to turn to as the case analysis proceeds.
Sometimes, problems are not apparent until after the case has been analyzed.

The complaint against Randal Schwartz was brought by Intel Corporation, a multinational microchip manufacturer. The charges related to altering two computer systems without authorization and accessing a computer with intent to commit theft. Randal Schwartz is a perfect example of someone who does not fit into the stereotype of hackers. Anyone familiar with Perl will know Schwartz as the author of the definitive Perl instruction guide, Learning Perl. Schwartz is a frequent columnist for such technical magazines as Unix Review and Web Techniques. Randal Schwartz was a consultant for Intel in Oregon for three years before the indictment. Schwartz’s crimes are a result of what he says were “good intentions.” Although Schwartz is well respected in the community, he has been criticized for his unprofessional and irresponsible conduct as a consultant, thus being subjected to a lot of controversy. Schwartz claimed that because of jos travels and invitations to lecture on Perl, he needed an easy way to access his e-mail at Intel. Without seeking requisite permissions, Schwartz modified the systems so as to access his account outside of the organization. He also installed the Crack software on the systems, which enabled him to capture nearly 50 passwords.
In his defense, Schwartz argued that he was merely helping the company by checking the security of systems. This could have been an excellent explanation except for the fact that in police reports. Randal told the officers that thought he could be criminally prosecuted for these incidents. “When asked why he stole 40 or 50 passwords. Schwartz told detectives. “I needed them in case they caught me doing it and I knew they would shut me down, so the more passwords I had, the longer I could continue doing what I wanted to do.” Schwartz also admitted that this wasn’t the first time he had done things against Intel’s policy. He had been previously caught accessing the systems from outside the company and had been warned on several occasions.

The first section was based on the overall organizational standards that had been set for the entire hospital. Areas addressed in this section include professionalism, efficiency, and quality of work, respect, and service. Every employee, full-time and part-time, has to complete this section of the performance appraisal. The second section of the appraisal consisted of various competencies for each individual position. These competencies were specific to the tasks required to fulfill the duties of the individual in their respective positions. The competencies, varying greatly from position to position, were based strictly on duties required for that position. This is important, as having similarly situated employees evaluated on like criteria improves the consistency of the appraisal process.

In this analysis, I will state a few leadership skills that I consider attributes that I possess and often use while in a leadership roles. I will review times these skills have enabled my personal and team goals to be met and how they helped. I will also bring attention to my sub-par leadership skills that should be cultivated so my full leadership potential could be attained. I will also look at the negative effects of where my lacking of abilities thwarted my team from completing their tasks successfully.
Some of my most prolific leadership skills are my ability communicate with my team what needs to be done and what timeline we are anticipating. I try to be clear and concise when giving directions to a team. I try to break down tasking in to multiple smaller goals so they will be easier to understand and accomplish. I believe that this also will give the team multiple moments of fulfillment during the entire process. My mentors in the past have led me to believe that accomplishing small tasks will benefit them and allow them to experience the feeling of marking something off the list
I also tend to articulate my leadership styles in ways that fit well with my team members. This subject is spoken of in the class reading referring to the Path-Goal Leadership Theory (Path-Goal Leadership Theory, n.d.). If it is a technical subject and I know that some of my team members are not experienced in the subject matter, I relate the current task to other tasks that they have previously completed. The more that your team can relate to the subject matter the more prone they are to completing their assigned tasks.
I believe that corresponding with your team is of utmost importance. I try to use technology to my advantage to make the entire process easier. I prefer to talk face to face but if for some reason, I am not physically available during the day I will initiate a group text message or emails throughout the day. I have even made smaller Facebook groups for my teams to communicate through, send out meeting makers, or even group activities after working hours (Social Media for the New Social Leader, 2019). If for some reason, these avenues of communication are not accessible, I will have morning meetings to put out pertinent information.
I enjoy disseminating and receiving constructive criticism to and from my team. If they can give their thought on how to make a job easier the next time or even during the current evolution, I encourage them to speak up and let me know. If it were to be after the fact, we can get together as a team and discuss lessons learned. I feel that this is an important part, especially in during the debriefing process. Feedback is the only thing that will help you evolve as a leader and a team member.

If for some reason, these avenues of communication are not accessible, I will have morning meetings to put out pertinent information.
I enjoy disseminating and receiving constructive criticism to and from my team. If they can give their thought on how to make a job easier the next time or even during the current evolution, I encourage them to speak up and let me know. If it were to be after the fact, we can get together as a team and discuss lessons learned. I feel that this is an important part, especially in during the debriefing process. As an undergraduate, it’s easy to think of psychology as this very static discipline, and if you want more information about some type of behavior, you conduct a search and the information comes to you. As you fulfill the curriculum of your
undergraduate program, your professors and your online courses bring you information,
and your textbooks provide a wealth of knowledge about the subject matter. The Voices

The evaluator may be an employee chosen internally or may be a third-party source brought in for the purpose. In order to decide who is best, it is important to consider the type of data needed and the purpose for the evaluation. The person who is chosen to conduct the evaluation should be unbiased and professional. Using an employee within the workplace is not always the best way to go as this will take the person away from their typical day-to-day tasks. In addition, an evaluator chosen from inside will be exposed to personal and secured information, so it is important to choose a person who is ethical and trustworthy. People who travel to Kayonza come back to Kigali with stories of having seen him during the rainy season as the smokes of his fires constantly go up to the skies, like a man cast away and looking for rescue. Those who have travelled and visited relatives with houses on the hills around Lake Muhazi in recent years to observe his activities say that my son sails up and down the lake during the day, busy ferrying passengers with completely covered faces to the other side. Others even claim that they have seen him up close, and that unlike other undead dead people he does not run away or conceal his face when you approach him. He has remained ten years old throughout the years, only bits of his hair are beginning to grey now.
When his boat work is done in the evenings, he plays his flute into the night, calming Lake Muhazi into even more stillness. He plays the flute so dedicatedly, earnestly, its melody so piercing, with sorrow so intense – a child blowing all his young soul into a musical instrument just so our land can heal. His flute wakes God from his deep sleep, – since Damien has already given God a few warnings, I hear – saying to God, “Thou Shalt Not Sleep, never. Not here in Rwanda, not anymore! Find yourself another bedroom.” Because God used to sleep here in Rwanda, you know. Lately, God stays awake at night looking intently at the world map, planning to migrate.

As an undergraduate, it’s easy to think of psychology as this very static discipline, and if you want more information about some type of behavior, you conduct a search and the information comes to you. As you fulfill the curriculum of your
undergraduate program, your professors and your online courses bring you information,
and your textbooks provide a wealth of knowledge about the subject matter. The Voices
from the Workplace feature box describes a passive approach to learning and under-
standing human behavior. Here I would encourage you to take a more active learning
approach—that is, if you want to get a sense of what psychology is all about, you have to
go and do psychology. We belong to an active and engaging discipline that is passionate

The purpose of this professional work sample is to show the performance and mastery of the program outcomes and competencies for the psychology major. The work samples illustrate the mastery of various program outcomes. I have had to acquire knowledge of the learning outcomes through first hand experiences I have obtained in creating my professional portfolio and also in completing the previous course and going through an undergraduate student.
From the assignments and projects, I have worked on before, I can attest that I am a critical thinker and I do posses information literacy. The cover letter required a critical thinking and also possession of information literacy. The cover letter required some well articulation of experiences and skills, as well as the excellent flow of information. Such details help to pass crucial information to the employer or the interview panel.
The research skills evident in the work samples involve learning, debating, practical and also analytical. The samples depict the fact that, I have the ability to learn quite quickly and also grasp some new concepts. Have you ever considered what it might be like to perform evaluations for a living? Some might be excited to take on this type of position while others are looking to steer clear of the stress of what some might feel being an evaluator experience. Regardless of the take you have on this type of position; it is important to understand the important role an evaluator has within the workplace.
Often you will find that management takes on the role of the evaluator within the workplace. This can be positive for the organization because who knows the workplace better than the one managing it? However, there are times where a third-party is necessary to ensure that the workplace and the processes within are working adequately without bias.
The role of an evaluator will differ based on the evaluation approach being used within the workplace. Keep in mind that there are a number of evaluation approaches to choose from and what might be used this time may not be what is used in the future. However, in most evaluator roles, the evaluator will be expected to:
· Engage in a structured effort to learn the concerns, assumptions, questions, data needs, and intentions of stakeholders for their evaluation
· Develop the evaluation to answer questions and meet priorities

Now that you understand what an evaluator is, let’s discuss how to choose an evaluator for the organization. When a company decides an evaluation is needed for individuals or a program, it is important to decide who will conduct the evaluations. An evaluator should be someone who understands the program and has the skills to conduct the evaluation properly. The evaluator may be an employee chosen internally or may be a third-party source brought in for the purpose. In order to decide who is best, it is important to consider the type of data needed and the purpose for the evaluation. The person who is chosen to conduct the evaluation should be unbiased and professional. Using an employee within the workplace is not always the best way to go as this will take the person away from their typical day-to-day tasks. In addition, an evaluator chosen from inside will be exposed to personal and secured information, so it is important to choose a person who is ethical and trustworthy. An evaluator will spend a lot of time collecting and analyzing data, so experience with these concepts is critical to the success of the evaluation.

, Damien, makes fires that flicker throughout rainy June nights. He moves about the shores of Lake Muhazi, lighting a new fire on a new spot every night. People who travel to Kayonza come back to Kigali with stories of having seen him during the rainy season as the smokes of his fires constantly go up to the skies, like a man cast away and looking for rescue. Those who have travelled and visited relatives with houses on the hills around Lake Muhazi in recent years to observe his activities say that my son sails up and down the lake during the day, busy ferrying passengers with completely covered faces to the other side. Others even claim that they have seen him up close, and that unlike other undead dead people he does not run away or conceal his face when you approach him. He has remained ten years old throughout the years, only bits of his hair are beginning to grey now.
When his boat work is done in the evenings, he plays his flute into the night, calming Lake Muhazi into even more stillness. The present paper begins by introducing a number of observations on tiie
appiications ot information teciinoiogy (iT) in tiie field of human resource
management (HRM) in gênerai. Tiiis is due to tiie fact that iT and its wide range of
appiications have already made their presence feit in this area. This wiii be
foliowed by a report on the findings of a survey on the present trends in
organizations with in the different sectors in Turkey. Aithough the impact of iT on
IHRM has iong been attracting the interest of academics, no empiricai research has
ever been reaiized in this fieid in Turiiey, and few studies have been reported
eisewhere. The survey was conducted among the 106 iT managers and
professionais from various sectors, based on whose resuits, the data shows that iT
is used extensiveiy in the organizations to perform IHRM functions in Turicey's
dynamic economy. The results aiso indicated that, while IT has an impact on aii
sectors in terms of IHRM to certain extent, the types of iT used vary significantiy
between recruitment, maintenance, and deveiopment tasi(s. However, the empiricai
resuits here reveai that these organizations are not appiying these technoiogies
systematicaiiy and maturely in the performance of HRM functions.

he HRM function in organizations has gained increasing strategic emphasis, and
the importance of its alignment HRM and business strategies is well-acknowl-

Technology and HRM have a broad range of influences upon each other, and HR
professionals should be able to adopt technologies that allow the reengineering of the
HR function, be prepared to support organizational and work-design changes caused
by technology, and be able to support a proper managerial climate for innovative and
knowledge-based organizarions.^ These technological advances are being driven
primarily by strong demands from human resource professionals for enhancement in
speed, effectiveness, and cost containment."*

dressed with protective gears which include the designated face mask, prior to getting exposed to
SARS- COV – 2 viruses. Also, I will have to undertake a 14 day or more in quarantine as well as
undertake the COVID 19 test. I shall also be required to undertake necessary treatments in the event
I am exposed to the virus.

There are various formats for completing a process recording. The following is an outline that covers the major areas we want included within a process recording. Please utilize the template that follows for completing a process recording with an individual, couple or family client(s).
1. Description/Identifying Information: The social work student’s name, date of the interview and the date of submission to the field instructor should always be included. Identify the client, always remembering to disguise client name to protect confidentiality. Include the number of times this client has been seen (i.e., "Fourth contact with Mrs. S."). On a first contact include name and ages of the client(s) you have written about. If client is seen in location other then the agency say where client was seen.
2. Purpose and Goalfor the Interview. Briefly state the purpose of the interaction and if there are any specific goals to be achieved, the nature of the presenting issues and/or referral.
3. Verbatim Dialogue (in the table below). A word-for-word description of what happened, as well as the student can recall, should be completed. This section does not have to include a full session of dialogue but should include a portion of dialogue. The field instructor and student should discuss what portions should be included in the verbatim dialogue.
4. Assessment of the Patient/Client/Consumer. This requires the student to describe the clients’ verbal and nonverbal reactions throughout the session. Consider everything that is occurring such as body language, facial expression, verbal outburst, etc.
5. The Student's Feelings and Reactions to the Client System and to the Interview (in the table below). This requires the student to put into writing unspoken thoughts and reactions s/he had during the interview e.g. "I was feeling angry at what the client was saying, not sure why I was reacting this way…”. “ I wonder what would happen if I said such-and-such.”
6. Identify Skills and/or Theory/ Conceptual Frameworks used (in the table below). The student should be able to identify what skills they used in an interaction, and/or what theoretical framework came to mind as they dialogued e.g. “I used the strengths perspective “ “I used the skill of partializing”
7. Supervisor/field instructor comments (in the table below) This requires the field instructor to provide review and critique of the student’s dialogue with the client system, skill identification, and interpretation of the client interview.
8. A summary assessment/analysis of the student's impressions. This is a summary of the student's analytical thinking about the entire interview and/or any specific interaction the student is unsure about. - 1. CSIA 485 Project #4 Detailed Assignment Description Develop a Security Plan and Recommendation Memo to the CIO. The Plan must communicate the security strategy and technologies (minimum of 3) you are recommending from Project1/Project2/Project3. (I have attached the project 1, project 2 and Project 3 Please look at the attached file in the post.) Include a brief description of the technologies you are proposing with associated costs, expected return on investment (ROI), mitigation of risks, barriers to success. You must also include a detailed Network Diagram illustrating how this technology fits into the infrastructure. The Recommendation Memo is a one page Executive Memo to the CIO summarizing and introducing the Plan. The recommendation memo will be on plain white background and carry the same formatting as a formal letter. You may use one of the MS Office or similar memo styles that meet this requirement. ALL AREA MUST BE MET LINE BY LINE WITHOUT MISSING A THINY DOT The Plan (your second deliverable for this assignment) will be a minimum 5 page, double-spaced paper using Times New Roman 12 font and APA style formatting for citations and references. It will also include a minimum of 5 references. The Title/Cover page, illustrations (tables/charts/graphs), network diagram, and references are not part of the page count but are required for the assignment. The grading rubric provides additional details as to what should be included in the paper. Your instructor may provide an APA style template to use for this paper. Which means I will be getting two separate documents for this work. Please this must be done perfectly. NOTE: There is a continuation of this work.

Reply 1 needed My results when using the Jung Typology Test showed the extrovert over introversion by 31%, intuitive over sensing by 44%, thinking over feeling by 28%, and Judging over perceiving by 53% (ENTJ). I believe these personality traits hit me straight on. ENTJ’s have a natural tendency to marshal and direct. (Jung Typology Test, 2016). My husband would agree with this statement. I work hard on trying to step back and let someone else take the lead as it is often better to let someone else work the puzzle with you than constantly giving direction. I do believe all good leaders have a degree of directing but I disagree with the percentage that it gave me. I believe that my trait as an extrovert allows me to be perceptive as I constantly want to know others ideas or way of managing a project or issue. This would fit into the philosophy that ENTJ’s have a desire to learn about others ideas as well as learning practical solutions to pressing problems. ENTJ career choices will take my leadership qualities into the direction of management, social services, and technical science. I feel these are constructive fields that interest me, giving me the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. I like to incorporate the feeling of accomplishment with doing something for others, such as my current position of supporting the US Navy Fleet. The careers outlined for Conventional, Social, and Investigative (CSI) in the Holland Code are Registered Nurses, Pharmacists, Computer Science Teachers, or Library Science Teachers do not interest me. I do not have the
- 3. stomach to be a Nurse, in fact the medical field as a whole does not interest me. A teacher would require too much patience though I would love to help someone learn something new. I like to financially guide young persons but I believe that comes from my prior career as a Stock Broker. When comparing these traits to my skills; financial, planning, organizational, and analytical thinking, in the skills application on Career Quest I found financial management positions that would interest me. I love to lead and oversee projects. I have a financial base and knowledge that I have built on the majority of my life. Taking on the add responsibilities at my current place of employment demonstrating that I am capable of managing more than the projects progress but also the financial functions as well. Taking it to the next level of management is the next option for me. After taking the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test, I received ENTJ with Extravert(34%, Intuitive(16%), Thinking(22%), Judging(6%)). I agree that I am an extrovert because I tend to be more proactive in certain situations, and I also overthink my decisions because I over analyze stuff. On My RIASEC test I received RIC as my Code, realistic, investigative, and conventional. I do agree with the results but I feel that I should have gotten Artistic instead of conventional. I considered myself more of an artistic person but my score was
- 4. the lower on that category. I believe that the self-discovery videos and the assessment results will provide you with guidance that can help you develop a future plan for your career. I also believe that the assessment will provide you with feedback about certain skill that you may have and polish those skills to make you more marketable for future employers. The assessment helped me reflect on some of my weaknesses and I can begin to design a plan to improve in my weaknesses. My top five skills are multi-tasking, problem solving, adaptability, assembling apparatus, organizing task. The only way I can prove this is by sharing past stories. I worked in a manufacturing company in the past, where I multitaskwith different projects, we also had a change in machinery and I was able adapt to the new machines without any prior training. I also solved some of their production problems by implementing new ideas to increase production. I also updated and help organized their machine shop. - 6. ABSTRACT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BC) planning is an issue that students will likely come in contact with as they enter industry. Many different fields require this knowledge, whether employees are advising a company implementing a new DR/BC program, auditing a company’s existing program, or implementing and/or serving as a key participant in a company program. Often times in the classroom it is difficult to find real world practice for students to apply the theories taught. The information in this case provides students with real world data to practice what they would do if they were on an engagement team evaluating a DR/BC plan. Providing students with this opportunity better prepares them for one of the jobs they could perform after graduation.
