2. What is Good about it?
S The main image has a very good quality
to it even though it was taken on a
phone camera.
S The background goes well with the main
image
S The font is used well and it looks more
professional
S The magazine layout is done well.
3. What is Bad about it?
S The costume used in the main image
clearly shows that it was taken in school
due to the uniform
S The masthead is very basic and could
be easily mistaken for the cover lines as
they look similar
S The headline also looks very similar to
the other text and needs to be more
distinct on the cover
S The text goes over the main image
which looks unprofessional
4. What are the limitations of the
equipment you used?
S The limitations of the equipment used such as taking the
photos for the main images were the inability to obtain
costume changes as they were unsuitable for the genre of
magazine I was using.
S Also as we are using Adobe InDesign to create the magazine
and I had very limited knowledge on how to use the program
and most of what I learned came from trial and error or online
tutorials.
5. How your research has
impacted your choices?
S My research into different house styles on magazines
that had a similar genre which gave me Q magazine.
S I had researched into different covers for Q magazine to
look at the house style they use which would give me an
idea as to what I could create my magazine like.
6. What you will need to do in
order to produce a better final
version?
S I need to fit the text to go around the
image as it takes the focus away from
the main image
S I need to improve my masthead as it is
far too basic
S I need to change the font for the
headline as it looks too similar as the
cover lines and it has to match or look
similar to the mast head
