October 2014 | A211y - An Exploration into Accessibility, Agile & WCAG 2.0UXPA MN
1. The document describes a framework called A211y that was developed to help integrate accessibility (A11y) into an agile development process.
2. A211y assigns each success criterion of the WCAG 2.0 guidelines to specific agile team roles based on who is primarily responsible or impacted.
3. It provides a "squeegee" - translating each criterion into a simple format of "whose, what, and where" to make the criteria easier for each role to understand and implement.

The Industrial Design Center at Howest University College is a knowledge center that facilitates collaboration between industry and education programs in areas like product design, prototyping, lighting technology, sustainability, and user-centered design. It provides companies access to equipment and expertise through projects with students and research partnerships. The goal is to translate academic research into practical services for companies and organizations, while also stimulating student learning.
This document discusses the materials used in various kitesurfing gear, including kite canopies made of polyester ripstop with UV coatings and aramid reinforcement, kite bars with metal centers and composite interiors, harnesses that are water, salt, and impact resistant, boards made of ABS-protected wood carbon sandwich composites with adjustable footstraps, safety leashes with stainless steel buckles and Dyneema ropes, pumps with piston mechanisms, and wetsuits made of neoprene.
This document discusses various applications of the WriteBackPlugin in MicroStrategy, including:
1. Budgeting and forecasting - Create flexible budget input forms and implement what-if analysis and budget workflows.
2. Costing models - Build costing models to calculate costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Timesheets - Build timesheet management solutions for employees to report hours to projects.
Kitesurfing involves using a kite to harness wind power to propel a rider on a small surfboard. It was developed in the late 1970s by combining kite flying techniques with surfing. Kitesurfers use two scientific principles - Newton's laws of motion and Bernoulli's principle of fluid dynamics - to generate lift from the kite that overcomes their weight and allows them to glide across the water. Mastering kitesurfing requires learning how to control the kite's movement through the power system to navigate and perform tricks, understanding safety systems, and having proper equipment like kites, boards, and wetsuits suited for the conditions.

The document discusses the issue of excessive marketing, referred to as "digital landfill" or "landfill marketing", that bombards people with advertisements and promotions for products they don't need. It argues that this approach is unsustainable, unenjoyable to work on, and not very effective. The document proposes moving away from interrupting people with paid advertising, to instead creating useful products, services and content that people want and will engage with voluntarily through earned and owned media.

If you’ve ever had your big new initiative squashed by a bean counter, this talk is for you.
Innovation opportunities don’t normally come packaged with robust evidence to make the case for change. This means it’s hard to get big companies to be innovative, especially when key strategic decisions are made in front of a spreadsheet.
My special area of interest is evolving companies digital capabilities by getting them to try new things. I am going to talk about different approaches to make innovation relevant to your organisation and how you can create, frame and tell stories with data to get your projects backed, funded and supported.
