This 2015 Mobile World Congress showcased the latest innovations in mobile technology, bringing together the leaders and pioneers of the mobile industry, consumer brands, and the growing amount of businesses touched by the mobile market.
Out of over 2,100 companies flaunting their newest and best, only a handful of exhibitors really stuck out for their ability to cut through the noise noise and connect with their audience.
We've taken a look at these standout exhibitors and examined what made them so memorable. Read our POV, and learn the 4 ways to win at the tradeshow that will connect people with your products and services and build your business.
In 2014, BBDO Belgium was awarded with the title Agency of the Year by Media Marketing. For the first time in the history of the competition, a jury of advertisers and agencies choose the winner based on a entry document.
This is a resume of our entry document.
This is our story of 2014.

From gold lamé to vin rosé, Cannes is a special place indeed.
It’s home to the world’s largest and most revered awards festival for the best creative work in Film, Creative Effectiveness, and more.
The week’s content includes seminars, forums and workshops presented by creative leadership from around the world — both from inside and outside the marketing industry.
We learned of brand experience examples such as the Google Creative Sandbox and the Ipsos Ladies Lounge provided insight and inspiration in a relaxed environment.
Oh — and of course — there was legendary partying in true industry style.
A lecture I had in Aalto University in "Brands in Strategic Marketing"-course on 14.2.2011. Talking about advertising agency role in brand building from the planning perspective.

Why you’re a Brand Shaper (knowingly or not) and what you can do about itRupert Platz
Held at IxDA Berlin, Nov 19 //
What do you feel when you hear the B-word?
The term „brand” often translates to us designers as “annoying regulations from the marketing department” or “some generic Powerpoint voodoo before we get to the real thing”.
But most of all, as Marty Neumeier put it, a brand is „a person‘s gut feeling about a product, a service, or an organization“. A gut feeling that will affect this person’s decisions and actions. That’s why organizations care about their brand and try to influence how people feel about them.
Now trying to influence people’s gut feelings about a product or service is something we’re quite familiar with – we call it “Experience Design”. That’s why we shouldn’t leave the task of caring about the brand to marketers alone and just grudgingly follow their style guides. The interactive products and services we design will influence our user’s brand perception more profoundly than award-winning campaigns or fancy image videos can.
So if brands are such a big deal and we’re all at least co-shapers of brand perceptions – deliberately or not -, why does the B-word almost never appear in our UX discussions and frameworks? In this talk, I’d like to share my ideas on how we can leverage the brand perspective to make sound design decisions and create better experiences.
The fluffy science behind creating stuff worth sharing for KLMPolle de Maagt
What content is contagious? What goes 'viral'? What stuff 'works' on social media? Here's a agency and research perspective on best practices and ideas.
Seagull Advertising, a 17 year old Branding and Advertising agency from Pune, recently held a Digital Summit on branding in the digital age at Courtyard Marriott, Pune. Hosted by Seagull’s MD Mr. Sameer Desai, the event saw more than 116 participants, including brands like Thermax, Kirloskar Brothers, Lokmat, Sakal, Reliance, 3Di Systems and Solutions, P. N. Gadgil Jewellers, Amanora, O & P Hospital, Kalpaturu, Foliage Outdoors, Jaihind, Akemi Excellence, NeoGrowth, Crème Pure, MAD Beverages and more.
Mr. Sameer Desai touched upon the necessity and benefits of branding in the digital space, backed by powerful case studies. His simple but vital insights about the use of digital medium to help brands connect with their audience, gained a lot of appreciation.
Successful brands and retailers create engaging consumer experiences which result in long term relationships and an improved bottom line. This presentation offers tips on how to build enduring relationships at retail.
I was asked to speak at the IPA Strategy Group's Modern Briefing event this morning. These are my thoughts on why participation is so important-it fundamentally disrupts business models-and how we can get better at briefing for participation:
-A business problem is a behavioural change in disguise
-Think about network insights, not consumer insights
-Move from "the single thing we want to say" to "the single thing we're going to make or do"
Today's media world is thrilling, captivating and full of challenges for brands - a revolution in brands and people's behavior in fact. But as in all revolutions, it's sometimes difficult to get a clear view of what's going on. And so, dear readers, TBWA's strategy department was looking for patterns and similarities from different discussions and has attempted to sum up the revolution in 135 slides. Our goal is to explore the different ways of tackling today's communication challenges - and to show how successful brands are switching from brand-centric to audience-centric behaviour. Inspired by many different people and brands, it intends to spark a conversation about the need for Media Arts, and how it is ingrained with the theory of Disruption. Ready? Visit www.mad-blog.com
This is a presentation from 2011 I bumped into on customer-centric innovation. While my thinking has somewhat evolved, it's actually still quite relevant :-)
The days of 'launch and leave' are coming to an end. Now advertising must be thought of as improvisation; campaigns are evolving creatures which must be monitored and tailored as they unfold, otherwise they cease to be relevant.
Real time reaction is now essential – reacting and evolving in response to consumer feedback means campaigns can maximise opportunities to engage with consumers and allow them to become a real part of campaigns. Historically advertising agencies have been built to deliver at the 'Speed of Production'. Leo Rayman explains why this needs to change so that they operate at the 'Speed of Culture'. This implies big changes to the culture, skillsets, processes and structures of agencies.
This thinking might help your ad agency or brand to increase strategic value and find the unexpected opportunities.
The good news is that it's simpler to fix than everyone thinks.
Here is my attempt that not only fix the flawed business model of advertising, but reinvent it.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
