DTCC acts as a post-trade market infrastructure for the financial services industry, clearing
over $1.6 quadrillion in securities transactions per year. It automates, standardizes, and
streamlines processes in the capital markets. Through its three “Systemically Important
Financial Market Utility” subsidiaries, provides clearance, settlement, and information
services for equities, corporate and municipal bonds, unit investments trusts, government
and mortgage-backed securities, money market instruments, and over-the-counter
derivatives. It also manages transactions between mutual funds and insurance carriers and
their respective investors.
