This is my painted picture for Meme & Co for the year 2018. It is a manifesto for my business and brand, 3 years from today. By releasing it publicly, I am holding myself accountable in order to make it my reality.
I have over 18 years experience in sales, marketing and advertising, I climbed the corporate ladder and was committed to my career but my priorities changed when I had my children. My life became a struggle, trying to find a balance between wanting to retain my worth and independence in the workforce without compromising my ability to be a present and attentive mother. I found myself working in an intimidating and ultimately soul-destroying environment. It stripped me of my self esteem and my confidence; it was the strength of my children and the support of my husband that gave me the resolve to be resilient, to stand up for myself and stand up for my values. With a strong resolve never to go back to the corporate world as I had known and through commitment, perseverance and a passion to succeed, I found as one door closed behind me other doors opened in front of me.
It was this journey that gave me the motivation and the drive to create an opportunity for other women who want to be in control, who value their independence, who want to be empowered. My drive to keep a balance between work and my family life ultimately resulted in `taking a leap’ into the unknown and embarking on a personal journey of self reflection, new challenges and personal growth.
The name Meme & Co came from the name my son William use to call his sister Aimee when he couldn't pronounce it properly `Meme'. The Co represents William, my other daughter Jessica and my husband Tim. On a business level the Co represents all the partnerships connected to the company that Meme & Co has been built on.

Tom Challan sponsored 500 people in one year working less than 20 hours per week through cold leads. He achieved this through deciding to sponsor 1-3 people per day and outsourcing tasks to leverage his time. Some of his tips included stroking egos to build excitement, coaching recruits in groups instead of individually, being coachable himself by learning from more experienced people, and later generating his own leads through marketing. Tom Challan has now become an MLM coaching professional.
The document discusses whether intelligent people join multi-level marketing (MLM) companies. It describes the author's initial unsuccessful experience with MLM from 2002-2007, but notes that by treating it as a long-term business, he has since achieved significant financial success through MLM. While most MLM participants fail, the author argues that those who commit long-term, treating it as a profession, can achieve the top income levels, which often exceed salaries from professional degrees. He concludes MLM can be intelligent for those willing to treat it as a serious long-term business.
Tara Krauth shadowed Mary Farinella, an accounting associate at AON, to learn about a career in business. She concluded that accounting remained an appealing career path for her due to her interest and strength in math. While month-end periods were stressful, Mary said prioritizing tasks was the best way to manage the workload. Mary advised Tara to pursue a college degree no matter her career choice to keep career options open in different economies. Tara characterized Mary as goal-oriented and independent, traits she believed helped Mary succeed in her work.

One of the biggest problems, why most people do not join network marketing is because they have to build a team, which is how the team building formula became in existence. When in reality, many are doing their best just to bring people in their business, much less know how to keep a team around… and train them!
This document provides training on launching a business opportunity selling Brain Abundance nutritional products. It begins with welcoming participants and introducing the presenter, Aaron Fuller. The 3 steps to launch are: 1) deciding your why by completing a reasons list, 2) becoming a product of the products to sell yourself first, and 3) announcing your business to 50+ people immediately with a sample

My name is Marshia Hollins Salcedo Sams. Pay strict attention to what I am about to say, because I choose my words carefully and I don’t like to repeat myself. I’ve told you my name...that’s the ‘who’. The ‘where’ could most readily be described as a mental prison cell. But, there is a vast difference between being “in” a tiny cell and being mentally, physically, and spiritually in prison. The ‘what’ is easy. Recently I planned and set in motion events to execute the perfect strategic “marketing plan” ...that’s also the ‘when’. As for the ‘why’...beyond the obvious financial motivation it’s exceedingly simple, because I can. Which leave us only with the ‘how’.
And, therein as this slide to success will show us...lies the truth, the whole truth and nothing, but the truth.., so help me God!

The business of running a yoga studio requires careful planning around location, competition, costs, and revenue needs. While spiritual values are important, it is also practical to consider business realities like competitors opening nearby. A yoga studio succeeds by building community relationships and providing an escape from daily stress through its peaceful environment. Additional sources of income like retreats can help build client loyalty while supporting the business financially. The studio should actively participate in community events to raise its profile and be perceived as a "happy brand". An informative website and online marketing are also crucial to reaching clients beyond in-person classes.
The document outlines steps for a digital marketing campaign, including setting objectives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying target personas, writing a blog post, and crafting social media posts. The blog post theme is why the author decided to take Udacity's Digital Marketing Nanodegree program. The social media posts promote the program on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest to target small businesses and those aged 30-40.

Roadmap for Teen Entrepreneurs Finding Their WayShonika Proctor
This presentation is for Teen Entrepreneurs who are trying to figure out their 'Why' and where they belong. I presented it for the U.S. Small Business Administration, National Small Business Week 2010. They recorded the audio but need approval from legal. So since I don't think the approval has been made yet, :-P I included the key talking points on each slide (hence why it's a little wordy). The objective of the presentation is to give teen entrepreneurs so guidance, who need support figuring out their purpose or finding their way in business.
Two Network Marketers Want To Set The Record Straight About Network MarketingJason Boreyko
Michaela Schell and Joelle Suess are two local network marketers who wanted to dispel common misconceptions about the industry. Schell got involved in direct sales five years ago through Rodan + Fields to balance work and family, while Suess started seven years ago with Beachbody as a student looking for extra income. They addressed five common myths: 1) Only people at the top make money, saying success requires hard work and an equal starting point; 2) Network marketing has cult-like tendencies, but it fosters a team mentality; 3) It attracts those with little business experience, but skills can be learned; 4) Pyramid structures are inherently bad, but the industry model has changed;

12 Key Mistakes Women Entrepreneurs Make Migrant Women Article Tony Jeton Selimi
In today’s ever changing economy being an entrepreneur is very tempting proposition and a path that can lead to having the freedom, the flexibility, and the lifestyle that goes with it.
Whilst some women entrepreneurs create a reality in which they climb the ladder of success and enjoy the many benefits that come with it, the truth remains, many other women have to face the reality of their present awareness of struggle, working long hours, and becoming fearful of what the future may hold.
For them the dream of building a successful business is very far into their future and out from their reach.
From working with hundreds of women entrepreneurs, I noticed that many of them who approach me for coaching are doing so for two main reasons. Some women are unhappy at work, they lack clarity of what they want to do, and are in the process of leaving their jobs to become Entrepreneurs.
Others, on the other hand already are Entrepreneurs, have an amazing business that they love and have worked very hard to build, but struggle to make meets end, have families that they need to support and lack the necessary mindset, skills and the processes that are required to expand their business.
The common mistakes most entrepreneurs do is that in the early stages of building their business many end up working in the business and forget to re-evaluate and to switch to a new role and start working on the business.
Silently they adopt “I can do it all attitudes” and due to some kind of fears they fail to take the next step and invest in building a team that they can use to delegate low priority tasks and free up valuable time. Time, which they can use to help them focus their energy on the high priority tasks and on the business itself.
Some of you that are reading this article maybe either of these women. You know that to quit, loose or leave a job to be an Entrepreneur is far from easy. You also may be aware of the many struggles, obstacles and the failures women entrepreneurs go through on their journey to climb the ladder of success.

The Evolution and Impact of OTT Platforms: A Deep Dive into the Future of Ent...ABHILASH DUTTA
This presentation provides a thorough examination of Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms, focusing on their development and substantial influence on the entertainment industry, with a particular emphasis on the Indian market. We begin with an introduction to OTT platforms, defining them as streaming services that deliver content directly over the internet, bypassing traditional broadcast channels. These platforms offer a variety of content, including movies, TV shows, and original productions, allowing users to access content on-demand across multiple devices. The historical context covers the early days of streaming, starting with Netflix's inception in 1997 as a DVD rental service and its transition to streaming in 2007. The presentation also highlights India's television journey, from the launch of Doordarshan in 1959 to the introduction of Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite television in 2000, which expanded viewing choices and set the stage for the rise of OTT platforms like Big Flix, Ditto TV, Sony LIV, Hotstar, and Netflix. The business models of OTT platforms are explored in detail. Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) models, exemplified by Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, offer unlimited content access for a monthly fee. Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) models, like iTunes and Sky Box Office, allow users to pay for individual pieces of content. Advertising-Based Video on Demand (AVOD) models, such as YouTube and Facebook Watch, provide free content supported by advertisements. Hybrid models combine elements of SVOD and AVOD, offering flexibility to cater to diverse audience preferences.
Content acquisition strategies are also discussed, highlighting the dual approach of purchasing broadcasting rights for existing films and TV shows and investing in original content production. This section underscores the importance of a robust content library in attracting and retaining subscribers. The presentation addresses the challenges faced by OTT platforms, including the unpredictability of content acquisition and audience preferences. It emphasizes the difficulty of balancing content investment with returns in a competitive market, the high costs associated with marketing, and the need for continuous innovation and adaptation to stay relevant.
The impact of OTT platforms on the Bollywood film industry is significant. The competition for viewers has led to a decrease in cinema ticket sales, affecting the revenue of Bollywood films that traditionally rely on theatrical releases. Additionally, OTT platforms now pay less for film rights due to the uncertain success of films in cinemas.
Looking ahead, the future of OTT in India appears promising. The market is expected to grow by 20% annually, reaching a value of ₹1200 billion by the end of the decade. The increasing availability of affordable smartphones and internet access will drive this growth, making OTT platforms a primary source of entertainment for many viewers.

2. Myriam Borg is the CEO and general manager of Create Australia has done some pretty outstanding
things with her life so far. She has used her business astuteness to form a thriving operation that helps
people get into their own Refund Consultancies. Ms. Borg’s company helps people get it out. Of being
an employee or even a retiree and get into their own striving business.
3. A Sydney native, and a University of Technology graduate, Myriam graduated with a degree in Adult
education and training. This was the basis of her current business- even though she did not realize it
yet, and she quickly entered the business world after 10 years as a training career. She was working as a
corporate business trainer and had a four year old child already with number two on their way. It was
then that a young Ms. Borg had her epiphany as to what to do with her life. She was sitting at home
looking for a solution on how to be at home more with her children while not losing too much of her
income that she was earning. Then searching she found her answer to the question; lost trust monies
and assets.
4. Myriam Borg had all the training she needed to start this business, and now had the passion to make it
happen. It didn’t take long to grow her business quickly, before selling it for a tidy profit. It was in this
moment that she started her new passion. She personally put her first refund business on the market
and was bombarded with many offers to buy. She made her choice on who to sell her business to, and
then had the offer that changed her world. Many of her potential buyers were, understandably, a little
miffed that they did not get to be the purchaser of the hugely successful refund business, but one such
woman asked her the question that made her dream come to fruition. She said, “ok it sold, but can you
train me to do this myself?” Myriam decided that yes she could do that for her, and anyone else that
asked.
5. She went with it and twenty plus years later is a world leader in asset refund and recovery, and has
trained an astounding 95% of similar businesses in the Australian and New Zealand. She feels like her
business is to help people realize their business dreams, she states that some of the hardest things she
has done in her life were making choices that were based around helping rather than pure profits. Ever
the humanitarian, Myriam constantly is making choices that help others and make the world a better
place.
6. Do you know what steez is? If so, how do you express your steez?
It wasn’t until I did this interview did I know what steez meant. I would have to say I like to dress with
class most of the time. The rest of the time you could find me in yoga pants either exercising or hanging
out with my kids.
7. Who/What inspired you to get into your current field?
I have always been interested in business. I came up with the idea for this business through life lessons
and wanting to help others.
8. What is one current trend that excites you?
Technology. Not only does it play such an important role in the way businesses succeed nowadays but I
love the fact that I can work from anywhere I choose. Whether I am at my home office or off sailing
somewhere I am running my business and taking care of people.
9. What would you consider your biggest accomplishment?
Hands down that is how amazing my kids are turning out to be. Being a single mom and running my own
business was something that concerned me when I first started. Looking at them now, how intelligent
they are, how happy they are, nothing will ever beat that.
10. What do you think of social media? Has it made an impact on your professional career?
Social media is an amazing tool. It’s part of that technology excitement I mentioned. Reaching people
from all over, getting your message out there, it is simply amazing.
11. If you were ever to start again, would you do anything differently?
I would definitely take more risks. Being young and a mom, I was afraid to risk too much. Seeing now that
one of the only ways to be successful is to take risks, I would have taken more and taken them sooner.
12. What do you see for the future?
I see great things for our future. I always have a positive outlook and the drive to make it happen. I can’t
tell you exactly what it will be but I promise it will be great!
13. What’s one piece of advice you can tell our readers?
Set a goal and plan your strategy to achieve that goal. Once you do that you are on a path to success.
