Augustaflex - safe & sound signs, bollards and barriers for your cityMario Pisoni
Augustaflex is a brand new system that safeguards road signs, bollards, parking barriers against damages. In case of accident / car crash, signs and structures equipped with the Augustaflex system will flex in order to absorb the shock, preserving themselves and reducing risks for people involved in the accident.
The document describes a proposed system called "Spike Warner" that aims to help pedestrians safely cross the road. It uses spikes in the ground that rise as a warning to vehicles parked over the limit on zebra crossings. If vehicles do not move back within the limit, their tires will be punctured by the spikes. The system is accessed by pedestrians using sensors and will automatically activate the spikes when the traffic signal turns red, allowing pedestrians to cross more easily.
The Operation O Heavy Equipment++Including+Large+Truckskangaro10a
The document discusses various workplace safety topics such as:
- Establishing management commitment and employee involvement in safety programs
- Conducting pre-construction analysis of worksite hazards and implementing controls
- Ensuring proper training of employees on hazard prevention and safety procedures
- Periodically reviewing safety procedures to ensure they remain effective
KANAT UP has developed an innovative underground parking station system that is fully automatic and computer controlled. The system, called "Underground Car Parks under Streets and Pedestrian Areas", is installed in concrete silos and can accommodate up to 1144 vehicles across 12 levels. It offers a versatile and cost-effective solution to parking challenges while improving safety, aesthetics, and the environment by eliminating emissions and reducing crime compared to above-ground parking structures. The system is well-suited for developments like residential buildings, medical facilities, offices, universities, hotels, and restaurants.
EasyLive offers convex safety mirrors that provide a simple and affordable solution to eliminate blind spots and reduce accidents in parking areas. The durable yet lightweight mirrors have a 180 degree field of view without needing wiring or complex setup. They allow drivers to see around corners and avoid collisions in parking lots by eliminating blind spots, reducing customer dissatisfaction and increasing profits for businesses. The mirrors are available in 24 or 18 inch diameters and installation only requires brackets, screws and 20 minutes, providing an easy way to make parking areas safer.
The document proposes adding airbags to motorcycles to improve rider safety. It notes that 45% of two-wheeler accidents result in death, compared to car accidents where airbags help protect occupants. The proposed design would place an airbag on the fuel tank that deploys upon frontal impacts, cushioning the rider. A mechanical linkage connected to the front shock absorber would detect impacts and trigger gas generation to rapidly inflate the airbag between the rider and handlebars. Side impacts could also potentially be addressed by linkages that deploy side wheels for stability. The goal is to provide two-wheeler riders similar protective benefits as car airbags.
The document describes a self-balancing electric scooter called Wanderway. It works on battery power and uses an inverted pendulum principle and motors to balance itself as it moves forward or backward. Wanderway is proposed as a solution for indoor patrolling of companies, colleges, and malls to help security reach destinations more quickly. It could also help pedestrians and older faculty cover small areas on campuses more easily. Its applications include patrolling, indoor/outdoor navigation in airports, industries, universities and more.
1) The document discusses various cross-sectional elements of road design including pavement surface characteristics like friction, unevenness, drainage, and light reflection. It also discusses camber, carriageway width, and types of kerbs and shoulders.
2) It describes different types of sight distances required for road design like stopping sight distance, intermediate sight distance, overtaking sight distance, and headlight sight distance.
3) The document provides formulas to calculate minimum stopping sight distance and overtaking sight distance based on factors like vehicle speed, braking capability, gradient, and required safety spacing between vehicles.

The document describes an automatic pneumatic bumper system for vehicles. The system uses an IR sensor to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle. When an obstacle is detected, the IR sensor sends a signal to activate a pneumatic cylinder and solenoid valve. This causes the pneumatic bumper to extend out and protect the vehicle from damage on impact. It also cuts power to the vehicle's motor, engaging the brakes to stop the vehicle and prevent an accident. The system aims to reduce accidents by automatically detecting obstacles and activating braking and protective measures.
IRJET-Anti-Lock Braking System with Hydraulic Brake Assist for Emergency BrakingIRJET Journal
This document presents a conceptual design for an anti-lock braking system with hydraulic brake assist for emergency braking. The system aims to provide extra braking force with minimal driver effort during emergency situations. It works by using an ABS system to prevent wheel lockup under heavy braking while incorporating an emergency brake assist function to further increase brake pressure as needed. The design is intended to shorten braking distances and improve vehicle control and safety during emergency stops.
Accident preventing system with the help of pneumatic bumper protectionIRJET Journal
1. The document describes a system to prevent vehicle accidents using a pneumatic bumper protection.
2. An IR sensor detects obstacles in front of the vehicle and activates a solenoid valve to extend the pneumatic bumper. It also cuts power to the motor to engage the brakes.
3. The system aims to reduce vehicle and human damage from accidents by providing an automatic response when obstacles are detected to extend the bumper and brake the vehicle.
The document discusses impact attenuators for solar sports cars. It describes how impact attenuators absorb kinetic energy during collisions to distribute force evenly and reduce passenger deceleration. Effective attenuators are needed at speeds over 15 km/h to protect pedestrians and over 40 km/h to protect occupants. Design ideas discussed include honeycomb structures, explosives, and different materials like foam and aluminum. Testing attenuators is difficult as it destroys the design. The document considers positioning of attenuators to protect the passenger safety cell. It notes the design process is still deciding on materials while researching ideas and space constraints.
IRJET- Design of Automatic Garbage Collecting VehicleIRJET Journal
This document describes the design of an automatic garbage collecting vehicle. Some key points:
- The vehicle is battery-powered and three-wheeled, with a garbage container as a tail. It uses a mechanical arm with actuators to lift and dump garbage bins into the container.
- The arm has three degrees of freedom and a gripper to pick up bins. It is placed on the right side of the vehicle for easy operation by a single worker.
- Components like the chassis, wheel hub, axle, and arm are modeled and analyzed for strength using CREO and ANSYS software. The vehicle is designed to be lightweight, low-maintenance and reduce pollution compared to traditional garbage trucks.
automatic braking system and brake actuation before collisonashutosh singh
In this project the pneumatic bumper and brake is used to protect the man and vehicle. This system is only activated when any obstacle comes in front of vehicle, the obstacle is sensed by sensor and it gives the signal to the control unit and due to this bumper system and braking system activated. Bumper is energized by compressor and it compressed the air and send it to the pneumatic piston. This system is used in any type of light vehicles.
IRJET- Research on Designing of Automatic Reverse Wheel Locking MechanismIRJET Journal
The document describes a proposed design for an automatic reverse wheel locking mechanism to prevent vehicles from moving in reverse on slopes. The mechanism uses a ratchet and pawl system engaged by a DC motor activated by an inclinometer when the vehicle reaches a threshold angle. Key components are analyzed and calculations are shown for the ratchet, pawl, stresses, and dimensions to ensure safety. Finite element analysis was also conducted. The design aims to increase safety by preventing accidents caused by unexpected reverse motion on hills and protect vehicles, pedestrians and property.
Car-pedestrian accidents account for a considerable number of automobile accidents in industrialized countries. Head injury continues to be more concerned in Automobile impacts.
Because the head is the most seriously injured part in many collisions including in pedestrian automobile collisions. Head injuries are the most common cause of pedestrian deaths in car to pedestrian collisions.
The Access Rail System is designed for use as an adjustable anchorage point for suspension/rope access for external and internal maintenance of buildings. It provides flexibility of movement at height while being lightweight and having minimal visual impact. The system comes in 27mm and 32mm sizes and can be installed on various surfaces like walls, ceilings, glass, and steel. It offers benefits over traditional cradles like lower operational costs, faster maintenance times, and greater lifting capacity. The system is certified under European safety standards and comes with a 10-year warranty. Case studies demonstrate its use for tasks like bridge maintenance, atrium cleaning, and overhead crane access.
IRJET- Designing and Fabrication of Crash BarrierIRJET Journal
The document describes the design and fabrication of a crash barrier prototype. It aims to provide safety and security by blocking access in emergency situations like an unauthorized speeding vehicle entering a protected area. The crash barrier consists of a metal frame, aluminum plate, gears, shafts, bearings, and a motor. It is designed using SOLIDWORKS and fabricated with high reliability and low maintenance. Calculations are shown for determining the required speed of the main shaft to lift the barrier fast enough to stop an unauthorized vehicle traveling at 100 kmph within the available time before impact. A 1HP motor coupled with a two-stage gear reduction system is selected to provide the necessary speed reduction to meet the calculated requirement.

This document describes a digital vehicle speed control system using GPS. The system monitors a vehicle's speed and position via GPS and automatically applies the brakes when entering pre-programmed "virtual retarder" zones to reduce speed. When a zone is detected, the GPS sends a signal to a PIC controller which activates a servo motor to press the brake pedal. Sensors and displays also notify the driver. The system aims to reduce accidents by enforcing speed limits without using physical road bumps or police patrols. Test results showed the system could accurately decelerate a vehicle in a zone from its current speed. The digital approach provides wide coverage, easy installation in vehicles, and removes issues of sudden braking caused by traditional road

Design and Manufacturing of Automobile
Vehicle Safety with Pneumatic Bumper - In the design of an automobile, a most important task is to minimize the occurrence and
consequences of automobile accidents. Automotive safety can be improved by "active" as well
as "passive" measures. Active safety refers to technology which assists in the prevention of a
crash. Passive safety includes all components of the vehicle that help to reduce the
aggressiveness of the crash event. Crash protection priorities vary with the speed of the car
when crash occurs.

Comparative analysis between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquapon...bijceesjournal
The aquaponic system of planting is a method that does not require soil usage. It is a method that only needs water, fish, lava rocks (a substitute for soil), and plants. Aquaponic systems are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Its use not only helps to plant in small spaces but also helps reduce artificial chemical use and minimizes excess water use, as aquaponics consumes 90% less water than soil-based gardening. The study applied a descriptive and experimental design to assess and compare conventional and reconstructed aquaponic methods for reproducing tomatoes. The researchers created an observation checklist to determine the significant factors of the study. The study aims to determine the significant difference between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquaponics systems propagating tomatoes in terms of height, weight, girth, and number of fruits. The reconstructed aquaponics system’s higher growth yield results in a much more nourished crop than the traditional aquaponics system. It is superior in its number of fruits, height, weight, and girth measurement. Moreover, the reconstructed aquaponics system is proven to eliminate all the hindrances present in the traditional aquaponics system, which are overcrowding of fish, algae growth, pest problems, contaminated water, and dead fish.
