1. Dear Sir/Madam,
I am winding up in New Zealand and migrating to the US in mid June 2013.
I was most recently employed (until mid May 2013) as a Production Manager – Search (natural and paid)
and Data Insights using Google Analytics at Internet New Zealand, a search marketing agency. The
company is now expanding operations in Australia and the UK.
I was growing the company using Google Adwords as the medium to produce spectacular results in
terms of conversions and ROI. I am extremely experienced in CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) with
vast experience in split testing and optimizing landing pages using Google Analytics Content Experiments
(formerly Conversion Optimiser).
Such a great start led the clients to sign up for organic search, social media and email marketing, an
increase in service offerings and hence increasing the revenue of the company. In the process, I have
saved a couple of companies from going bankrupt and given them fresh lease of life.
I am an experienced digital marketer with vast experience in both paid search and natural search. The
other crucial direct response marketing area is email marketing which I have used to great success in
previous jobs for various clients.
I was employed as the Online Manager (Sales) for a reputed book publishing company, PQ Blackwell
Limited, based in Auckland, New Zealand. I did a global launch of their new offering, a premier online
product in all the major English speaking countries of the world. I was in charge of the paid search and
natural search campaigns for this project. I was involved in preparing input for the email marketing
templates. This was a contract position.
Before this, I was the Internet Marketing Manager for the BioMag group of companies. I made all
decisions pertaining to the web operations of our group in accordance with the wishes and consent of
the Management and the other stakeholders.
In that role, I did a global launch from scratch of the BioMag range of magnetic therapy products in
the US and UK markets. Magnetic therapy is a very tough and competitive field in the US with an annual
turnover of over $6 billion.
In this position, I built and maintained a variety of sites ranging from therapeutic products to fashion
apparel (American Apparel distributors in AU and NZ), golf wear (Cross Golf brand in US markets) and
technology (Geocomms underwater communications, BioMoov electric scooters) in both B2B and B2C
markets. I promoted these products through paid search in both Adwords and Bing in all English
speaking countries. I used email marketing to build a list of interested users by offering a free product of
high perceived value.
I launched the Cross Golf ecommerce site in USA. It is a prestigious Swedish golf brand with BioMag
group being the sole distributor US wide. I led a dedicated team of contract developers and designers in
helping implement my plans.
Under the brand name of Woolrest BioMag, I have placed the sites on a solid foundation in the areas of
both organic search and paid search. I started the promotion of the US site with a new domain
2. woolrestbiomag.com and it is ranking very well in all the major search engines for bulk of search terms
related to magnetic therapy products.
With the Google Panda update taking place every 30 to 40 days, only sites with quality (measured
primarily in terms of establising brand name, brand name mentions on the web, unique content, user
behaviour and backlink counts) are able to rank in the top of the Google SERPs. Many a well established
site has bitten the dust (example being ezinearticles.com).
The measures I have adopted from the very beginning has ensured that our US and UK sites have not
only withstood these updates but continued to improve in rankings in natural search bringing in quality
traffic. I am also adept at using non Google traffic sources using PPC, PPV (pay per view) and Social
Media optimisation to drive targeted traffic to our sites with excellent ROI.
I personally built the Magnetic Therapy Blog at woolrestbiomag.com/blog and I created quality
content @ 2 posts per week. This helps Google find fresh content using the QDF algorithm and
ensures continuous indexing of our site and retaining users for longer periods on our site. This blog
content is in turn syndicated through social media inclduing Twitter, Digg, Squidoo, Reddit and other
major web 2.0 sites all over the web thus garnering quality backlinks on pure merit.
I was in charge of the Google Adwords PPC campaigns. I supervised the setup of all the paid campaigns. I
am adept at paid advertising on the Google Display and content network getting clicks for 1 to 2 cents
apiece. I am also big on landing page creations, split testing, conversion rate optimisation and upsell and
downsell sales funnel creations.
Apart from this, I have knowledge of about 80% of the paid ad inventory which many of them do not
know even exist. I can get quality traffic at one third the price of Adwords ads and still get top quality
traffic from major portals like Fox, CBS, CNN to name a few.
I have gained vast experience in setting and tracking both organic search and paid search campaigns
through Google Analytics. I have an indepth knowledge of Analytics and various segmentations,
analysing sales funnels and reporting using different parameters.
I employ the best SEO and SEM practices prevalent in the current times and keep up with the latest
developments in all aspects of search. With over 11 years of experience and a hands on approach to
search engine marketing as a whole, I not only get top notch results but also saved lots of $ for
whomever I have worked over the years.
