To review basic concepts of Positive Discipline in Everyday Teaching 2. To identify personal positive discipline practices 3.To differentiate opposing schools of thought on human behavior as related to approach in Discipline 3. To equip teachers as first- line guidance advocates in Introductory Activity : Word Association 1. Participants will be asked words they can associate with Positive Discipline and School Guidance, respectively. 2. The participants will answer using the code provided and send their answer online 3. As the word associated are compiled, the facilitator will process their answers and relate to Positive Discipline in Everyday Teaching Learning Resources: Internet access, laptop, LCD TV, Online Learning Application for Word Association Professional Standard Teachers Domain: None as this is introductory The professional development activities for the session on Positive Discipline as a School Guidance Advocate are all reflective and subjective in nature. Given this method, the learning outcomes will be assessed through two methods. First is self- rating and session evaluation to be provided For the Common Discipline Mistakes activity and Presentation on Positive Discipline in Everyday Teaching will serve as a review on its basic concepts, and that they will re-evaluate their personal discipline practices. Participants will be given a presentation on Positive Discipline in Everyday Teaching concepts and related laws and policies anchoring 2. Second, they will be given an Activity Sheet with reflective questions on Common Discipline Mistakes 3. Select teachers will be given time to share their answers Learning Resources: Internet access, laptop, LCD TV, Powerpoint Presentation on Positive Discipline in Everyday Teaching concepts, Activity Sheet PPST : Domain 2 Strand 2.1 and 2.6 Group Activity: Think, Group, and Share! 1. Participants will be given activity sheets for comparative analysis on the two opposing schools of human behavior as related to Discipline Approaches 2. The participants will be grouped in four and will present their output through powerpoint presentation and a selected group by the facilitator. The second assessment strategy is answering the Relationship/ Solutions- Focused Reflective Sheet. Opposing Schools of Thought on Human Behavior, the participants will be identify personal positive discipline practices and differentiate opposing schools of thought on human behavior as related to approach in Discipline. 6. For Scenario Analysis, and Presentation on Positive Discipline Intervention for School Guidance, participants will be able to equip teachers as first-line guidance advocates in their classrooms;

With the same group, the participants will be given specific scenarios/cases and digest the content. 2. The participants will formulate a step-by-step resolution on their assigned case. 3. The participants will present their resolution creatively. Learning Resources: Internet access, laptop, LCD TV, Powerpoint Presentation on Positive Discipline Intervention for School Guidance, Audio-visual Presentation, Case Sheet PPST : Domain 2 Strand 2.1 and 2.6, Domain 3 Strand 3.1-3.4, and Domain 6 Strand 6.4 and already aware of positive behavior interventions in school guidance To reflect on the importance of positive discipline in the teaching profession.
