counseling Clients
20XX presentation title 16
• Choose one among the identified counseling
clientele. Choose a particular problem that this
type of clients ( i.e., youth suffering from
depression ) face.
• Read related cases about this type of clients.
• Write paper: profile of this type of clients, discuss
and analyze their situation, and the difficulties and
challenges they face.
Editor's Notes
It cannot be denied that the drug addiction create more social problems and contribute to social disintegration. Consequently, more youth victims cry for help and seek for counselors’ attention
People who uses or abuses drugs are those people who sometimes commits crime for example pagpatay pang gagahasa at marami pang iba.
Sa mga bata naman minsan kaya sila natututong gumamit nito dahil sa tingin nila it will save them from their problem. Until they realize na its wrong that where they seek help to a professional. So the counselor will help them to realize that what they were doing is wrong that imbes na makatulong is mas lalo lang mag woworsen yung problema nila so the counselor will try to advice them and make it possible na mag iba yung perspective ng client unti, such time na paunti unit mapapalaya nila yung sarili nila sa drugs.
smokers who desire to quit tobacco were added to the list of the counselor’s audiences. Sila yung mga gusto nang magquit nag magsmoke. There Are some people who wants to quit smoking but there bodu cant yung tipong kapag ka tinigil nila dun sila nagkakasakit kasi parang naging part na ng lifestyle nila yung paninigarilyo parang nasa isipan na nila yung kapag hindi sila nakapag smoke nanghihina na sila ganon.
This requires help from a professional as it requires appropriate treatment. However, an equally important paradigm is to look at alcoholism as a weakness of self – control and self –discipline .therefore this requires intervention other than treatment
What complicates this situation is the women’s perception about themselves and the society’s expectations. Counselors are responsible in helping women appreciate their own values, abilities, aptitudes, and interests and to utilize these to develop their full potential.
So dito papasok yung pag aask ng mga babae sa worth nila mos specially if there partner is not giving them the love they deserve the attention they deserve those wives that na once na nag ka anak sila feeling nila parang hindi na sila yung dating sila yung mga wife na stay at home wife na pagod sa pag aalaga ng mga bata tapos masasabihan pa na tamad walang naitutulong yung mga nasa abusive na relasyon dto papasok yung depression yung feeling na wala na silang worth sa mundo.
This is a challenge to the counseling profession. other issues that require attention of counseling include loss of a partner ,decline of mental capacity and mobility, increased loneliness ,decline in financial security etc.
In this case pansinen nyo yung mga matatanda most of them is malungkot specially minsan yung mga dating nagwowork and then nagretire yung mga walang kasamang anak at apo. Kasi once na nagretire sila and napag tapos na yung mga anak nila minsan feeling nila useless na sila. Kaya kayo if ever may lolo at lola pa kayo cherish them give them importance as lon as anjan pa sila. Diba ,minsan mas mahal pa tayo ng grandparents natin mas binibigyan pa nila tayo ng pera mas iniispoil pa nila tayo kasi that way they still feel na useful sila.
Are you familiar with Aids?
So in this case acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) has been labeled as the most feared disease due to its incurability. Victims of this disease are seeking help to improve their quality of life and to handle their emotional stress and low self-esteem.
Saan ba usually nakukuha ang aids?
Spouse abuse is often associated with poverty, drug abuse and career disappointments. The abuse has also become rampant and has caused psychological damage to the victims. The counselors are increasingly utilized to help the victims.
Gays and lesbians, like other sectors of the society, suffer from peer denial, family clash, health uncertainties and prejudgment. Counseling will focus on self-awareness, self- acceptance and understanding.
There are elementary school counselors, junior high school counselors, secondary school counselors, counselors in vocational schools, counselors in higher education, and counselors in community and junior colleges.
So what are the works of a school counselor? Ano ba yung ,adalas na trabaho nila? For example sino ba yung guidance counselor nitong school natin? Ano yung madalas na tarabho nya? Very good to guide the students sa kuns saan mas mapapabuti sila.
Counselors can be found in community and mental health agencies, employment and rehabilitation agencies, correctional settings, and marriage and family practice.
This is feasible if the counselors expertise and specialization matches or relevant to an adequate client population in the geographic area
counselors are also present in various agencies of government or institutions supported by the government that are into social welfare, health, and education.
