● Kami, ang mga kasapi ng AFP, na humihingi ng
paliwanag mula makapangyarihang Diyos, upang
makamit at mapanatili ang isang propesyonal na
organisasyon, karapat-dapat sa pagtitiwala ng bayan
at respeto, tapat sa kanyang constitution bilang
tagapagtanggol ng mga tao, ang ibang kapangyarihan
ng estado, ang mga demokratikong institusyon at ang
integridad ng mga Pambansang teritoryo, malaya at
kolektibong gumawa ng ating sarili bilang aming mga
paraan ng pamumuhay, na tumangap at sumunod sa
mga probisyon ng code ng etika(tama) na sa
pamamagitan nito tayo ay maglagda at palaganapin.

members of AFP on some basic
national issues & to unify us towards

expanded roles as men-in-arms
11. Sec2.1:AFP ORGANIZATION - should be
organized that it can function effectively with
minimum cost & maximum result with active
people participation in defense of the state and
civil assistance in times of calamities.
Sec 2.2: Civilian Supremacy - obedience to
laws, carry out directives & regulations, pay
taxes, cast votes, enforce writs.

of military leader to influence his men to carry
out its mission, performed assigned tasks or
fulfill its obligations and functions.

succeeded without the support & cooperation

must be a catalyst of change, reform and
development.
Sec 2.7: Partisan Politics - Involvement in
politics should only be limited to the exercise of
his right to vote and assist in ensuring a clean
and honest election.
Sec2.8: Democracy - The Phil Gov’t is an
embodiment of the people’s will, established to
protect their inherent rights and fulfill their
aspirations as a nation.
14. Sec 2.9: National Interest - common goal of
the people.
Paramount concern and must be enhanced &
protected.
Sec 2.10: Peace - Program & development can
only be attained if there is stability, peace &
order.
Sec 2.11: War - resorted to only when peaceful
means failed & no other option is left.
15. Sec 2.12: Use of Armed Force - the AFP
must act with restraint when implementing
government policy pertaining to security.
Sec 2.13: Social Justice - AFP must promote
social justice based on the principle of “All men
are created equal”.
Sec 2.14: Human Rights - AFP must respect
the inherent rights of an individual as a human
being

Professionalism

The AFP shall perform its tasks as
mandated by the constitution with the
highest degree of excellence by expert
application of the basic & specialized
skills of soldiery while strictly
adhering to the Code of Ethics & all
laws & statutes of the land.

19. Sec3.1: Standard of Loyalty - All AFP
personnel must be loyal & true to
the Republic, the Constitution, the
AFP organization & the people.
Sec3.2: Standard of Competence -
the ability or the capability to do
what is expected him to do & to do
it well.
20. Sec3.3: Standard of Ethics - Each soldier
must conform to the accepted principles of
right conduct being observed in a society of
which he is a part of.
Sec3.4: Standard of Morals - Distinguish
what is right from what is wrong. Do what is
right and avoid wrong ones.

standards of behavior & performance.
