Straightener Space Organizing Style Personality PreferenceCena Block
Straightener Space Organizing Personalities feel that to be organized, everything must be aligned perfectly. Straighteners will often tidy up their spaces yet create no systems, and even though their spaces can 'look' tidy, their piles may have no systems or real order so this style preference can cause them to be totally disorganized. To stay organized, Straighteners must create storage systems that provide a home for everything they keep - and purchase items that keep things aligned and straight. Staying organized is part skill, and supported by behaviors, lifestyle choices and a personality preference. Focus on key, essential items in your home and life that bring you joy. Branding? Marketing? PR? What's the Difference?Andrew Careaga
Missouri University of Science and Technology Director of Communications Andrew Careaga gave a presentation at Ignite Rolla on February 26, 2014. The presentation included 5 photos from Flickr shared under Creative Commons licenses, showing various scenes of nature and people, to engage the audience in a visually interesting way.

Pope Francis recently said "that if guided by the Holy Spirit, we can discover opportunities to lead humankind toward God" by using the Internet. Is this opportunity one of being a DIGITAL DISCIPLE? Being a Digital Disciple involves being a real person with a passion to share goodness, faith, and more in an online environment. Is it possible? What is the balance of digital communication and authentic and direct human relations? Does it just involve social media or is there more? What does it mean to be connected? What is the "attitude" that I bring to the digital environment? As a lay minister, when I communicate in today's online environment, what are my family, friends, and parishioners expecting? Is proclaiming Christ in the digital era a work of youth or of all of us?
The document is a collection of photos from Flickr and Unsplash that have Creative Commons licenses attached. The photos show a variety of subjects like landscapes, cityscapes, portraits and more. Each photo is attributed to the photographer and links to the source on Flickr or Unsplash. There are over 30 photos in total in the document.
All I Really Need to Know About Teaching Online I Learned as a StudentMichelle Moore
There's nothing like being a student in an online course to help you become a more effective online instructor! In this presentation, I highlight a variety of online course design and facilitation tips and strategies based on the experiences of online students.
Why You Should Stop Using Discussion ForumsMichelle Moore
Open almost any online course and you'll find discussion forums in one unit after the other. As teachers, we've been led to believe that forums are an important element of an online course. Forums are supposed to promote interaction, engagement, and a sense of community. Not so though, at least in most of the courses I've seen!
Community, interaction, and engagement are important, but forums are not required to make that happen. In this presentation, I'll tell you why you should stop using forums and what you should be doing instead!

Strengthening Our Strategic Thinking To Become Better LeadersJeff Hurt
Becoming a strategic thinker is not as difficult as it sounds. Although if we’re not careful, it may mean running in place twice as hard. It just means practicing different behaviors than what you probably already do.
When you focus on remembering minutia and details, it adversely affects your ability to engage in strategic thinking. We have to be careful as leaders and logistic meeting professionals of falling into the trap of losing sight of the bigger picture. Neuroscience has proven that when we focus and engage in strategic, abstract thinking, we improve our ability to remember the details. Becoming more strategic actually improves our logistics.
Being more strategic doesn’t mean making decisions that affect your whole company. Nor does it mean allocating scarce budget dollars. And it clearly doesn’t mean scouring the internet for the right response to the problem you face.
It means forcing your brain to slow down and work smarter.
Learning Outcomes:
Define a strategic brain and how it affects our leadership.
Identify three steps we need to practice to become strategic thinkers.
Discover how to improve the brain’s gatekeeper and increase our ROI!
Building Enterprise Products - For Moving Targets of Customer Needs and OutcomesMurali Erraguntala
Building new product is an exciting phase in the career of every Product Manager and each Product Manager would yearn for an opportunity to conceptualize, build and launch new products. The primary goal of every product manager is to ensure the commercial success of new product. Yet, only 50% of new products succeed [1]. New product development is definitely a challenge and Product Manager falters somewhere during the course of building new product. In order to provide some guidance to build new products, I decided to drop my experiences of building new product. Please note that some of the information listed as part of this guide may be biased because of my experiences of building and sustaining B2B HW product of an existing product line.
The primary reason for drafting the guide is to streamline my experiences of building a new product and share actionable points as part of the guide. I have learned about Product Management by reading books, blogs, articles etc and primarily through my role as a Product Manager. The guide is a way of giving back to my fraternity and sharing my experiences. I would be deeply humbled if someone finds the guide helpful and I am open to comments to make it better. The information shared in this guide is already available in my blog @ www.ProductGuy.in. I appreciate if you could visit my blog and drop your thoughts/comments.

Life is too precious; you will not have any time to spend on brooding over unwanted things. Always find reasons in life to be happy. Manage those things that are withing your control, leave aside those that are not.
Organizations are good at talking about and choosing change but equally important are the plans we develop bring others along with the change. Wise leaders are turning to neuroscience and cognitive psychology to break through our natural "guardians of change." One helpful tool could be what's called the ACE plan, a three-step approach to make transition management stick. In addition, you'll learn why our brains resist change and how to design strategies that make our thinking caps more receptive. Take back a fresh strategy that invites and empowers other to be positively part of the change process.

Bitcoin offers a new currency called BTC that is issued through an algorithm, resisting corruption and censorship while being efficient, global, and accessible. It uses three key techniques: peer-to-peer transactions, proof-of-work, and blockchain. These techniques allow Bitcoin to function as a network of value that is unstoppable. The document argues that blockchain technologies could help address issues on a global scale without corrupted middlemen by democratizing power, though more diverse people would need to get involved for its full potential to be realized.

The document outlines Sébastien Arbogast's presentation on Lean Startup for Developers. It begins by asking attendees about their experience with startups. It then introduces Arbogast and his background. The bulk of the document contrasts traditional startup approaches like business plans and prototypes with Lean Startup approaches like customer interviews, business model canvases, and validated learning. It emphasizes gathering early feedback and iterating quickly rather than spending a long time planning before testing ideas with customers.
The document discusses the Lean Startup methodology for developers looking to create their own startup. It begins with the presenter introducing himself and his background. It then discusses common misconceptions about starting a startup and proposes using Lean Startup practices like validating hypotheses through customer interviews rather than traditional methods like business plans or prototypes. The document provides examples of how to identify target customers, problems, and potential solutions through iterative customer interviews and lean canvas modeling to test assumptions and guide product development. The overall message is that Lean Startup practices can help developers test ideas and build products customers want more efficiently than traditional methods.

We will show you the same application, developed for the three most renowned smartwatch platforms, namely the Pebble, Android Wear and Apple Watch. We will show you the tools, languages, APIs and capabilities of each platform so that you can get a feel for the kind of opportunities offered by this new usage paradigm and the investment required to leverage those opportunities. Be advised there will be some C, Java and Swift in this presentation.
The document discusses the principles of the Lean Startup methodology for starting a technology business. It notes that traditional business plans are too rigid and that startups operate under extreme uncertainty. Following Lean Startup principles, the key goals for startups are to build a Minimum Viable Product, get customer feedback to validate problem-solution fit through the build-measure-learn process, and iterate quickly based on learning rather than relying on assumptions or market studies.
