This document outlines the goals and curriculum of a control seminar taught by an experienced martial artist and combatives instructor. The seminar aims to teach officers a series of movements and positions to safely assess and control suspects, focusing on closing distance, dominant grips, takedowns, and moving suspects into prime cuffing positions from both standing and ground positions. Officers will learn front and back control techniques including body locks, rotations, and isolating limbs for cuffing.
