The document outlines the policy and procedures for Career Intermission Program (CP) for active duty and full-time support sailors. It details that CP is a one-time mid-career incentive pay in exchange for an additional 4-year service obligation. Sailors with less than 12 years of service can request CP, which provides a lump sum payment or annual installments calculated as a multiplier of their monthly basic pay at the 12-year mark. Sailors are responsible for submitting a request via an online system or form before their 12-year anniversary to receive CP.
