Content Batching Party!
If you try and do too many different types of work on the same day, you’re
making it hard for yourself. Simplify with batching strategies!
Ignoring the problem does not solve the problem
What’s Stopping
You From Forming
New Habits?
Is it…. Your Self Doubt
Is it…. Fear of Failure
Is it… Lack of Motivation
Is it… Starting too big
Is it… Your environment
1. Examine your routines and schedule: how many hours you’re spending
on each task, What it would look and feel like if you put each into its own
block, day or week. Could you put all your meetings in one or two days?
Reserve one day a week for deep, creative thinking?
2. Communicate your new approach in advance to your clients and
colleagues. No one should be taken by surprise when they can’t reach you
at a specific time for a particular type of task & it will help you protect
that time better!
3. Tinker: There are many methods! Expect the first thirty days of any new
schedule to involve lots of trial and error to find what works for you!
Put your phone into “Airplane” or “Do Not Disturb” mode
We can still use Twitter and check email and read the news, but we can do it on our
terms.
Know your why: Batching can help you replace stress with new feelings of calm and
control over your time.
Remember: being less responsive during your batching time actually makes you a more
valuable colleague, because you can spend more time on the work that matters to your
team.
Protect Your New Habits and Batching Time
Get Proactive With Your Time: highlights for your day
What? Start the day out setting a highlight for the day, and finish your day
with a retro on your highlight
Why? It’s a rewarding focal point and priority your day. It helps add balance
by giving an awareness of why we’re adopting those behaviors.
How? Try asking yourself the question: When I look back on my day, what do I
want the Highlight to be?
You can create an environment that supports and enables
the kinds of decisions you want to make about your time.
Pomodoro Technique
1. Choose a task you'd like to get done.
2. Set the Pomodoro for 25 minutes.
3. Work on the task until the Pomodoro
rings.
4. When the Pomodoro rings, you get a 5
minute break to do whatever you
want
If a task will take more than 2
Pomodoro’s to get though,
break it down more into
smaller batches to accomplish.
Tips to Stay on Track
Replace your phone with a marketing book, and
inspirational quote book, or a note reminding you
to go for a walk
Sit down and assess yourself : Why are you
switching tasks or looking at your phone? Are u
bored, sad, avoiding work?

Want to be an expert? The MOST important thing is to
determine what pillars of content your brand covers.
1. What do you see people in your niche asking?
2. Do you have a whole archive of blog posts?
3. What values do you hold with regards to life and business. What do you disagree with?
3. What challenges have you faced.
4. What is happening in your daily life?
5. Is it something you get asked about often and the answer comes easy to you?
Do you feel like you are saying the same thing over and over…
THAT’S OKAY, IT SHOWS YOU BELIEVE IN IT AND ARE AN EXPERT!
Identify Your Lead Magnet
What is your most compelling call to action people take
What products pages and articles are people visiting most frequently
What is the total number of people that convert from a page vs the visitors,
the higher the conversion rate, the higher the lead magnet.
Create more content and dial in on the language used
there so you are speaking to your target audience.
What is your offer, tune into the needs of the people you
want to be serving, it’s not about you its about them.
