Interaction Design Class for Sophomores @ DMD, NYUST: Down to The CountrysideTing-Han Chen
An opening lecture for sophomores from Department of Digital Media Design, NYUST who have no background in programming at all.
The class is started in 2014.2.19 for one semester. Students are asked to learn skills and tools and demonstrate their final installations in the country field in Yunlin, Taiwan.
What you missed when you skipped design school - Theory and CriticismMatt Nish-Lapidus
The afternoon session of the What You Missed When you Skipped Design School workshop at Interaction'12, Dublin.
The first part of the workshop, by Dave Malouf, is here http://www.slideshare.net/dmalouf/what-you-missed-when-you-skipped-design-school
There is no definite rule and standard answer for Design. In this course, we have studied 8 masters of their own theory about design. thinking. engineering. social.... I will explain their theory that I agree in Part I. And then develop my own design theory in Part II.

Marcin Treder - The User Experience Design Process. The Story of Multiplayer ...Marcin Treder
I had a great honor to speak to 400 designers on Cascade SF event (#uxnight) hosted by Twitter and Intuit (May 2014).
Going through personal story of my career, I described a collaborative design process that leads to the creation of great products.
UX design process described in my talks is used every day by UXPin - The UX Design App (http://uxpin.com).
Thanks!
Improve your design process and expand your influence - UX AmsterdamPeter Boersma
In order to do great work you need to influence more parts of the design process than creating wireframes, mockups, or usability test reports. In this 2-hour workshop, we will walk through the expanded sphere of influence that designers - and others - have on the user experience. You will do exercises that make you look beyond your deliverables, outside of your department, and past your current way of working. You will learn how to spot opportunities and draft a plan to improve your design process.
Hi, this (very short) deck is mainly meant to help with my Design Studies lessons to undergraduate students at NABA, Media Design and Multimedia Arts School, Milan. These slides are supposed to come with a live commentary for the class, so sorry if you wish to have more explicit context and liaisons. Please see referred sources to this purpose.
New approaches for designing in the responsive age. These slides are from a presentation I did at the NYC Responsive Web Design Meetup on 14 June.
It includes a responsive case study from my work at R/GA and a look at new techniques responsive designers are using around the world to improve their workflow.
Huge thanks to @brad_frost, @laurenbugeja and Michael Barrish.

Product designer, industrial design master and former Siemens headquarter product designer in Germany.
Winner of more than 30 international design awards including iF, Red Dot Design Award, G-mark and Design For Asia Silver Award, and judge of many international design prizes including iF China Awards. His work has displayed in design exhibitions and museums worldwide.
In 2005, he became founder of YANG DESIGN, one of the most influential product strategy and design consultancies in China and leader in product strategy and design, service design and brand design. YANG DESIGN has been working with Schneider Electric, Audi, Bosch, Rado, Absolut Vodka, Dupont, NATUZZI and Royal Selangor.
In 2007, he founded designer brand y-town, a design experiment with attention to environment, human and material. Since then the brand has launched product collections including the Recycled Project, Jiu Jie and Neo-craftsmanship movement, and worked closely with institutions including Green Peace, Show the World and World Expo Museum.

4. John Christopher Jones:Design Methods

6. Herbert A. Simon:The science of The Artificial
tough, analytic, partly formalizable, partly empirical, teachable doctrine about the design process)。

Donald A. Schon:The Reflective Practitioner
Donald A. Schon

10. Klaus Krippendorff:The Semantic Turn
Design is making sense of things.
Klaus Krippendorff

+ Industrial Tablet for Mobile

Sketch
Sketch

Sketch

Herbert
Simon
