sufficient, as every student needed to successfully clear licensing exams such as FMGE or
USMLE before practicing their clinical skills. The pass rate for these licensing exams, such as
FMGE, stood at a meager 14.22%, highlighting a pressing need for a solution to support
students.
In 2019, the Indian parliament enacted legislation mandating a mandatory licensing exam for all
doctors, both domestic and foreign-trained, known as the National Exit Test (NEXT). This test
would be mandatory for all graduates passing after June 2023. Suddenly, medical students
realized that holding an MBBS degree did not automatically grant them a license to practice in
India, necessitating preparation for the exit exam.
This scenario led to the inception of MOKSH Academy, which has since become the preferred
test preparation solution among medical students nationwide for various entry and exit exams.
