We have learned some general feedback and specific tips to make your
parties more successful on this platform

Setting and Meeting
Guest’s Expectations
Guests expect more structure and a curated experience
• Provide a theme to curate the products and recipes to that theme
• Provide information on what to expect in the pinned post
• Share recommended products from the host and consultant. This helps
guide customers on the top products of interest and personalizes the
particular party.

Set expectations on the party length

• Guests aren’t clear on the format and length of the party.
• They aren’t sure if they can join over a period of time or a couple of
hours
– Place the info in the first pinned post with order deadline
– Update the description to just have the dates to join
Some guests want to see the virtual catalog

• Add a button to the virtual catalog or share a link in a post
Guests want it to be clear who is the consultant and who is the
host

• Add the host’s profile picture in the party profile
• Add “Pampered Chef Consultant” next to your
name
– Click “Account Settings”
– Make “Name” your first and last name with a comma at
the end.
– Make “Last name” Pampered Chef Consultant
Engagement

Engagement may not be as critical on
this platform but there are still ways to
invite engagement
• Many guests have said they enjoy that
there is less pressure to comment in
this platform. Remember that
engagement is not needed to make
sure users see the posts.
• Be sure to have the host set the tone.
Invite the host to comment to posts to
get others to do the same.
• Ask questions or incentivize guests to
comment below.
• Guests told us they got information out
of the party but they didn’t want to
comment unless asked to do so.
• Ask others to post their own pictures of
products or videos cooking
Guests want to see you use the products

more than 7 days

• We have seen 1 day to 7 days, but
beyond that participation decreases and
it becomes harder to get people to
return.
Have pre-loaded content

• Regardless of the type of party on this site it is best to have some
content loaded in the party before guests arrive
• Guests will want to see and interact as soon as they arrive, so be
sure you have some of the following when they arrive
– Shopping link
– Catalog
– Welcome and party dates
– An engaging post/recipes/products
• We have begun to see many consultants opt to add most of their
party outline before the party even starts, and then add 1-3 posts
each day of the party in the morning.
– This gives those who only come once something to interact with and
those that return each day something new to see.
Host coaching, invitation,
and reminder

Host coaching is a blend between In-
Person parties and Virtual parties
• Like in-person parties you will want to
coach your host to personally invite
friends how ever is best to reach that
guests (email, text, FB Messenger).
• Like Virtual parties you want to coach
your host to be present in the party, post
content, comments on posts, and tag
friends
• Unlike virtual parties there is less
emphasis on having the host post each
day and navigating Facebook
algorithms, and more emphasis on
making sure the host gets the guests
into the party and reminding their guests
to return.
Make the invitation clear and informative

• Let guests know why they should join, what to expect, how to join,
dates of the party, and set the expectation to sign in so they are
not stopped at the sign-up screen.

“Hi! I’m having a Pampered Chef
virtual party on their very own digital
platform. Jane Smith, my Pampered
Chef consultant, will be posting
recipes, her favorite products, and
some games. Be sure to login
throughout the next 3 days to see
new recipes and products and Jane
can answer any questions you have.
Join the party using the link below
and login to view the party feed.

Don’t rely exclusively on email to
remind guests to return.

• Make sure you have your host reach out
to the guests with the link to the party
and a reason to come back (e.g.
updated recipes, prizes, videos, etc.)
• Ask guests and the host to bookmark
the party.
VIP groups can be a good place to hold your first party

• Some consultants choose to have their first party on the platform with
their VIP guests and hold a quick party to get started
• We have heard it positioned as an exclusive opportunity. Kristyn Slick,
even positioned it as an “Away Summer Camp” as a break from the
Facebook group.
• Do not rely just on posting the link in the group. We have heard those
guests that came to the party saw the invitation in multiple places
before they joined. They saw a post in the group, then received an
email with the invitation, and then were joined in a private message.

Consultant and Guest Feedback CONFIDENTIAL 2 • We have run user research with both Pampered Chef familiar and non-Pampered Chef familiar users • Interviewed and surveyed consultants in the test We have learned some general feedback and specific tips to make your parties more successful on this platform Thank you for sharing your feedback!
  • 4. Guests expect more structure and a curated experience • Provide a theme to curate the products and recipes to that theme • Provide information on what to expect in the pinned post • Share recommended products from the host and consultant. This helps guide customers on the top products of interest and personalizes the particular party. CONFIDENTIAL 4
  • 5. Set expectations on the party length CONFIDENTIAL 5 • Guests aren’t clear on the format and length of the party. • They aren’t sure if they can join over a period of time or a couple of hours – Place the info in the first pinned post with order deadline – Update the description to just have the dates to join
  • 6. Some guests want to see the virtual catalog CONFIDENTIAL 6 • Add a button to the virtual catalog or share a link in a post
  • 7. Guests want it to be clear who is the consultant and who is the host CONFIDENTIAL 7 • Add the host’s profile picture in the party profile • Add “Pampered Chef Consultant” next to your name – Click “Account Settings” – Make “Name” your first and last name with a comma at the end. – Make “Last name” Pampered Chef Consultant
  • 9. Engagement may not be as critical on this platform but there are still ways to invite engagement • Many guests have said they enjoy that there is less pressure to comment in this platform. Remember that engagement is not needed to make sure users see the posts. • Be sure to have the host set the tone. Invite the host to comment to posts to get others to do the same. • Ask questions or incentivize guests to comment below. • Guests told us they got information out of the party but they didn’t want to comment unless asked to do so. • Ask others to post their own pictures of products or videos cooking
  • 10. Guests want to see you use the products CONFIDENTIAL 10 • Share pictures and videos of you using the products or cooking a recipe
  • 11. Party length should not be more than 7 days CONFIDENTIAL 11 • We have seen 1 day to 7 days, but beyond that participation decreases and it becomes harder to get people to return.
  • 12. Have pre-loaded content CONFIDENTIAL 12 • Regardless of the type of party on this site it is best to have some content loaded in the party before guests arrive • Guests will want to see and interact as soon as they arrive, so be sure you have some of the following when they arrive – Shopping link – Catalog – Welcome and party dates – An engaging post/recipes/products • We have begun to see many consultants opt to add most of their party outline before the party even starts, and then add 1-3 posts each day of the party in the morning. – This gives those who only come once something to interact with and those that return each day something new to see.
  • 13. Host coaching, invitation, and reminder CONFIDENTIAL 13
  • 14. Host coaching is a blend between In- Person parties and Virtual parties • Like in-person parties you will want to coach your host to personally invite friends how ever is best to reach that guests (email, text, FB Messenger). • Like Virtual parties you want to coach your host to be present in the party, post content, comments on posts, and tag friends • Unlike virtual parties there is less emphasis on having the host post each day and navigating Facebook algorithms, and more emphasis on making sure the host gets the guests into the party and reminding their guests to return.
  • 15. Make the invitation clear and informative CONFIDENTIAL 15 • Let guests know why they should join, what to expect, how to join, dates of the party, and set the expectation to sign in so they are not stopped at the sign-up screen. – Here is an example you can use to make your own “Hi! I’m having a Pampered Chef virtual party on their very own digital platform. Jane Smith, my Pampered Chef consultant, will be posting recipes, her favorite products, and some games. Be sure to login throughout the next 3 days to see new recipes and products and Jane can answer any questions you have. Join the party using the link below and login to view the party feed. Thanks, Mary!
  • 16. Don’t rely exclusively on email to remind guests to return. CONFIDENTIAL 16 • Make sure you have your host reach out to the guests with the link to the party and a reason to come back (e.g. updated recipes, prizes, videos, etc.) • Ask guests and the host to bookmark the party.
  • 17. VIP groups can be a good place to hold your first party CONFIDENTIAL 17 • Some consultants choose to have their first party on the platform with their VIP guests and hold a quick party to get started • We have heard it positioned as an exclusive opportunity. Kristyn Slick, even positioned it as an “Away Summer Camp” as a break from the Facebook group. • Do not rely just on posting the link in the group. We have heard those guests that came to the party saw the invitation in multiple places before they joined. They saw a post in the group, then received an email with the invitation, and then were joined in a private message.
