Homeopathic medicines encourage natural healing at the cellular level and strengthen the immune response and function of affected organs by restoring the natural ecosystem of the body in such a way that microorganisms no longer find it conducive to their existence. In Homeopathy ultra-diluted doses of naturally occurring substances – plants, minerals or animal-are used to stimulate a sick person’s natural defenses. At Dr, Mahavrat’s Cosmic Homeo Healing Centre, highly effective treatment is offered to fight against several eye infections, including conjunctivitis. We take individual care and dedicate ourselves to holistic treatment.

The important diseases recognized as responsible for visual impairment and blindness in India are cataract, refraction errors, glaucoma, conjunctivitis.
Mal nutrition and systemic disease are also important contributing factors.
Other causes include are eye injury, congenital disorders, retinal detachment, tumors, leprosy etc.
The visual disorder can be found as the following problems.
Amblyopia or subnormal vision in one or both eyes in spite of correction of significant refractive error.
Night blindness – it means inability to well at night or in faint light. It may occur in retinitis, choroidoretinistis, Vit A deficiency, retina toxic drugs.
Double Vision – It is found in squint, ptosis. It may be warning sign of increase IOP, brain tumor, orbital or myasthenia gravis.
Color blindness – It is a genetically determine condition in which color perception is defective or absent. Red and green color deficiency is the usual found. It can be detected at the age of 5 to 6 years’ age.
It is found in about 8% of the male population and is inherited as sex linked recessive trait. Color blindness may be total or partial there is no specific treatment.

overview of types, differentiation and clinical manifestations of conjunctivitis along with appropriate medications used with brand names available in Lebanon.
Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the thin, transparent tissue that covers the front surface of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelids. Conjunctivitis can be caused by various factors, including infections, allergies, and irritants, leading to different types of conjunctivitis that require specific management and therapy.
Infectious conjunctivitis is often caused by bacteria or viruses. Bacterial conjunctivitis typically presents with redness, discharge, and crusting of the eyelids. It is commonly treated with topical antibiotics to eliminate the bacterial infection. On the other hand, viral conjunctivitis is caused by a viral infection and tends to be self-limiting, with symptoms like redness, watery discharge, and sensitivity to light. Management for viral conjunctivitis involves supportive care, such as cold compresses and lubricating eye drops, to alleviate discomfort while waiting for the infection to resolve.
Allergic conjunctivitis occurs when the eyes react to allergens, such as pollen, pet dander, or dust mites. It results in itching, redness, watery discharge, and swollen eyelids. Antihistamine eye drops or oral antihistamines can help relieve symptoms by reducing the allergic response. In some cases, mast cell stabilizers or corticosteroid eye drops may be prescribed to control severe allergic reactions.
Other specific types of conjunctivitis include giant papillary conjunctivitis, which is often associated with contact lens use or ocular prosthetics, and vernal conjunctivitis, a chronic allergic condition primarily affecting young people. These types may require a combination of treatments, including avoiding the triggering factors, using lubricating eye drops, and, in severe cases, prescribed medications like mast cell stabilizers or topical steroids.
Additionally, conjunctivitis can be caused by exposure to irritating substances, such as chemicals or smoke, leading to chemical conjunctivitis. The primary management for this type involves thoroughly rinsing the eyes with clean water or saline solution to flush out the irritants.
In all cases, practicing good hygiene measures, such as frequent hand washing and avoiding touching the eyes, can help prevent the spread of infectious conjunctivitis.
It is important to consult an eye care professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of conjunctivitis. They can provide personalized recommendations and prescribe the most suitable therapy based on the type and severity of the condition, with the goal of relieving symptoms, promoting healing, and preventing complications.

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS

Lung Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Synergetics, Complex System Analysis, S...Oleg Kshivets
RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.
Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.
Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!

2. Conjunctivitis- Prevention Tips and Treatments
Conjunctivitis is a common eye infection affecting adults and
children. It is caused by allergens and irritants, bacteria and
viruses that cause other common diseases, such as the common
cold. The disease is treatable and the treatment depends on the
specific cause. Bacterial and viral conjunctivitis are highly
contagious and communicable. Let’s know more about
Conjunctivitis and its Homeopathic Treatment.
3. What is Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)?
Conjunctivitis or pink eye is an inflammation
of the conjunctiva. The Conjunctiva is the
clear tissue lining the inside of your eyelid
and the outer coating of your eye. This tissue
offers moisture to your eyelids and eyeballs.
Pink eye can occur in a single or both eyes at
a time. When it happens in both eyes, it tends
to be due to viral/bacterial conjunctivitis.
Pink eye often affects children the most. It
can be highly contagious and usually spreads
rapidly in schools and daycare centers. It is
rarely serious and does not cause vision loss
but gives discomfort to the patient.
4. Allergic Conjunctivitis
If you have conjunctivitis due to allergens like pollens;
you may develop tearing, itching, and redness in both
eyes. Apart from these symptoms, you might also have
an itchy, runny nose. It’s also possible to develop an
allergic type of pink eye called Giant Papillary
Conjunctivitis if you wear hard contact lenses or soft
contact lenses that aren’t replaced frequently enough.
5. Viral Conjunctivitis
This is the most common type of Conjunctivitis and may be the
most contagious too. It is caused by Common Cold Viruses. It
can occur if someone with an upper respiratory infection coughs
or sneezes close to you. It can also occur when you have a cold
virus yourself and blow your nose too hard. This can push the
infection from your respiratory system to your eyes. They tend
to start in one eye, where they produce lots of tears and a
watery discharge from the infected eye. Within a few days, the
other eye gets involved. Most cases of viral conjunctivitis are
mild, and the infection goes away in a couple of weeks.
6. BacterialConjunctivitis
Bacterial Conjunctivitis is caused by staphylococcal or
streptococcal bacteria and it usually infects one eye but
can show up in both. It typically occurs due to things
like touching your eyes with unclean hands, sharing
makeup, or having physical contact with someone who
may also have conjunctivitis. Your eye will put out a
lot of pus and mucus. Mild bacterial conjunctivitis
often goes away on its own without any treatment and
complications. It usually improves in two to five days.
8. Ophthalmia neonatorum (Neonatal
Conjunctivitis)
Ophthalmia neonatorum is a type of conjunctivitis seen in
the neonatal period (first 30 days after birth), occurring in
1% to 12% of neonates. It can be caused by dangerous
bacteria. This, if left untreated, may be blinding so get it
treated right away to prevent permanent eye damage or
blindness. Bacterial and viral infections are major causes
of septic neonatal conjunctivitis, with Chlamydia being
the most common infectious agent and Neisseria being the
most visually threatening. Infants may acquire these
infective agents as they pass through the birth canal
during the birth process.
9. Symptoms of Conjunctivitis:
→ Swelling of Conjunctiva
→ Redness of eye and/ or eyelid
→ Increased tears than usual
→ Thick white/ yellow/ occasionally greenish eye
discharge that deposits over eyelids while sleep
and sticks the lids together on waking up.
→ Burning eyes
→ Itching in eyes
→ Increased sensitivity to light
→ Blurred vision
10. Preventive Measures for Conjunctivitis
Practicing good hygiene controls the spread of pink eye. These include:
• Maintain a high level of hygiene at home, especially if one or more
family members suffer from pink eye.
• Wash your pillowcases, towels, and bed sheets in hot water and
detergent. It will prevent the spreading of the infection. Also, use a good-
quality disinfectant to clean your home and keep it germless.
• Prevent sharing personal belongings.
• Wash your hands thoroughly at regular intervals. Avoid touching your
face and eyes too often.
• Keep more immune-boosting food in your diet. Add green leafy
vegetables and orange-colored foods to your diet, as these are rich in beta-
carotene. These foods improve the immune system, minimizing infection’s
chance.
• Avoid sharing and wearing eye makeup and contact lenses.
11. Management for Conjunctivitis
→ Cleaning the eyelids with a wet cloth
→ Apply warm compresses several times a day.
→ If you are using contact lenses, you are
advised to stop wearing them until the
completion of the treatment.
12. Homeopathic Treatment for Conjunctivitis:
1. Aconite: This remedy is indicated during the first stage of
conjunctivitis when you have firey red eyes with severe swelling of
the eyelids with burning inside the eyes. Your eyes are extremely
sensitive to light and there is excessive pus-like discharge from the
eyes.
2. Argentum Nitricum: Indicated when you have thick pus-like
mucous discharging from the eyes with conjunctivitis, this mucus
adheres to your cornea blocking your vision temporarily and you
have to wipe your eyes frequently. You have excessive tears
running from your eyes, discharge agglutinates your eyelids in the
mornings.
13. Homeopathic Treatment for Conjunctivitis:
3. Kali Bich: Indicated in the chronic form of Conjunctivitis with
recurrent attacks. Yellowish pus-like discharge is deposited in the
corners of the eyes and lids get stuck up in the mornings. Burning eyes
with a feeling of heat in eyes. Firey red eyes and you constantly want
to rub your eyes to clear them. You can not tolerate light on your eyes.
4. Euphrasia: Indicated when you have red, swollen eyes with thick
yellowish discharge that burns your lids and cheeks terribly. Blurred
vision and you have a constant desire to wink to clear the vision.
Eyepains are more felt during the night.
5. Spigelia: Indicated when you have severe pain in the eyes that even
moving eyes cause severe pain. You have a constant feeling of squeezing
in your eyes as if the eyes are too large to accommodate in their place.
Highly sensitive eyes to light with blurred vision and constant desire to
wipe the eyes, but wiping makes the vision more blur.
