4. CONJUNCTIONS
Conjunctions are connectors used to connect words or a group of words (Mindset learn,
2018).
types of conjunctions
According to Prasanna (2021) there are atleast four types of conjunctions.
1. Co-ordinating conjunctions
These conjunctions are usually used to remove the capital letter of the second sentence.
Example: and, but, yet, so
2. Subordinating conjunctions
They can be used to show reason or result. They can be found
both in the middle or the beggining of a sentence.
Example: unless, although, until, whether
5. CONJUNCTIONS
3. Relative pronoun conjuctions
These pronouns perform the function of conjunctions.
Example: that, whom, which, what
4. Correlative conjunctions
These conjunctions work together as pairs and they are always used together.
Both- and, Not- only, But- also, Rather- then
Example : She is both beautiful and smart.
He is not only funny, he is also kind.
