1. Conclusion On Abortion Essay
Composing an essay on the topic of conclusions in the context of abortion can prove to be a
challenging task. The subject itself is highly sensitive and polarizing, encompassing a myriad of
ethical, moral, and legal dimensions. Addressing this multifaceted issue requires careful
consideration of various perspectives, empirical evidence, and philosophical arguments. Crafting
a conclusion for such an essay demands the ability to summarize key points, acknowledge the
complexity of the subject, and offer a thought-provoking resolution without imposing personal
bias.
Furthermore, the writer must navigate through the intricacies of abortion discourse,
acknowledging the diverse viewpoints while maintaining a balanced and respectful tone. This
involves delving into the historical, cultural, and socio-political aspects surrounding the topic.
The challenge lies not only in presenting well-reasoned arguments but also in demonstrating
empathy and understanding for opposing stances.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the conclusion of abortion requires a delicate balance between
academic rigor and compassion. Navigating through the complexities of this subject demands
critical thinking, research skills, and the ability to articulate a nuanced perspective. It is a task
that necessitates careful consideration of the ethical implications involved, making it a
challenging yet intellectually rewarding endeavor.

2. What Is Circus Animal Abuse
While the circus is an amusing way to spend the afternoon with family, it s often
been proven that circus owners do not treat their animals well. This can make them
dangerous to the employees of the circus as well as the patrons.
Animals in the Circus
Lions, tigers and elephants don t perform tricks because they like to jump through
hoops of fire. They are trained to perform these tricks. Often that training can involve
positive enforcement through rewards, but those who are against animals in circuses
allege that many circuses abuse their animals. In 2009, Ringling Brothers, a well
known circus, went to trial to defend themselves against a charge of animal abuse.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2009/02/ringling bros c.html
They were charged with mistreating the elephants in their circus under the
Endangered Species Act, which was brought about by private citizens who saw the
abuse. Many animals in the circus spend hours in a box while traveling to the
location of the next performance. They re chained to a certain location or kept in
filthy living conditions.

3. The History Of Dragons
It s often for one to be confused about the mythical creature that was (and still is)
depicted in art forms. No one is certain of this creature, and it s hard to make
theories on them. The dragon is still a relevant topic to this day and is often said to
be seen. People try to connect the dragon to creatures in our current world. Dragons
were used to depict man s fear in animals, but to understand the relations of dragons to
present day reality a person must know how others interpret them with theories.
In ancient times, dragons were told by man in different ways. This would normally
vary depending on religion. Dragons were shown with physical features of animals
that were feared in the common man. Some were depicted with lion heads, serpent ...

In this case, the dragon is a subject to theories. It wasn t until 1841 that English
scientist Richard Owens suggested that the group of newly discovered animals be
called dinosaurs, which literally means terrible lizards. Throughout the next few
decades, the first artist depictions of dinosaurs were actually comical when
compared to what we can scientifically discern today. How then, do pottery, linens,
cave paintings, and written descriptions of dragons from 2,000 to 4,000 years ago
depict dinosaurs better than what science could muster in the mid 1800 s?
(History of Dragons). Scientist might be able to prove the existence of dragons to
be false, but their reality in our modern day life is real. Lizards such a the komodo
dragon are an example. As said, they grow to be very large. In fact, many people to
this day believe that the dragons still exists. The belief in dragons was based not
just in legend but also in hard evidence or so it seemed. For millennia no one knew
what to make of the giant bones that were occasionally unearthed around the globe,
and dragons seemed a logical choice for people who had no knowledge of dinosaurs.
(Radford 4). However, it will take some looking to find solid proof of dragons, that
doesn t mean they do or do not exist. Many people have their own beliefs on what
they do and don t

5. Mercutio s Death In Romeo And Juliet
The tragic romance of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare stages the death
of a pair of star crossed lovers that puts an end to the feud between the two houses.
However, there are much more deaths in the play other than Romeo and Juliet. The
destiny of the play together with the clue of many deaths are both present in the
prologue before Act 1, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood
makes civil hands unclean. this line suggests to the audience that there will be
blood shed in the play ahead, giving clue to the many deaths. Also, the destiny of
the play has also been spelt out in the prologue, From forth the fatal loins of these

If Tybalt, the learned swordsman missed had that final thrust simply because
Mercutio saw through his moves, the play would have developed differently.
Firstly, it is evident from Act 2, Scene 3 when Benvolio asked Mercutio about
Tybalt, Mercutio replied He fights as you sing prick song, keeps time, distance,
and proportion. He rests his minim rests one, two, and the third in your bosom. ,
this shows that Mercutio understands the way trained swordsman fight. As a result,
Mercutio has the ability to walk out of the fight unharmed, and in the twist of fate,
Tybalt is instead killed by Mercutio. Consequently, Mercutio will flee the crime
scene as Romeo did in the original play. When Prince Escalus arrives, it is only
natural for him to investigate by asking for the person whom started the fight,
undeniably Tybalt himself was the one whom started the fight, thus, is punishable
by death. We also know that Prince Escalus love Mercutio very much from Act 3,
Scene 1 I ll amerce you with so strong a fine that you shall all repent the loss of
mine. Therefore, it is likely for Prince Escalus to put the blame on the dead Tybalt for
starting the fight and by the same argument Montague used in Act 1, Scene 3 His
fault concludes but what the law should end, the life of Tybalt. Thereby announcing
the exile of Mercutio in attempt to save Mercutio s life. However, Romeo in this
situation does not face direct consequence
6. I Give My Baby The Middle Finger Analysis
Rebecca Schuman, is not only an author, but is also mother to a beautiful 7 month
old baby girl. Like many mothers, she loves her child unconditionally. Rebecca is
also quite the realist. She is quick to showcase the uglies of being a parent. She
often times does this through her literary works. One article in particular titled I
Give My Baby the Middle Finger all the Time in Facebook Photos , really
showcases these truths. When a person first reads this title they might assume the
piece was written as satire or a joke. A quick scroll through the article and one can
unequivocally tell that this is not true! The article is plastered with several images, of

She does a magnificent job of being able to express the emotion she feels towards
her child, and also the struggles she repeatedly endures, while trying to get her
child to sleep. Emotion felt and descriptive accounts of Schuman s everyday life
enable the reader to better empathize with her. She allows them a look into her life
and gives reasoning as to why she feels her actions are acceptable. The limits of my
world and my sanity, and my life force, and my will to continue existing are the
limits of my child s wakefulness. Sometimes, it takes longer to put the little tyrant
to sleep then she ll deign to remain asleep. It is on those days that I celebrate her
hard won unconsciousness by taking a nice little selfie in which she s conked out,
and I m flipping her the bird. (Schuman) Reflecting on her childhood gives a better
foundation on which one can base their judgment. Schuman tells about how growing
up, in her home, profanity was not seen as this monstrous thing. I grew up in a
relatively pro swear environment, where my dad once sighed mournfully and said,
Can you please wait until you re 12 to start saying shit and fuck all the time? Damn
and hell were fine. (Schuman) Schuman was raised in a pro swear environment and
has grown to be a successful writer and what most would consider, a normal adult.
This strengthens Schuman s argument. She is showcasing the fact
7. It s Time To End Childhood Poverty Essay
Poverty is defined in many ways. The dictionary definition simply does not suffice
to show the human cost of poverty. Poverty is much more than the limited capital
resources that this definition suggests. Poverty is defined by the federal government
as 16,660 for a family of four in 1998 ( Child Poverty in the United States2000).
These figures are tremendously flawed; a single individual residing in the United
States would not fare well by the standards of most individuals at this income level.
Individuals in Laos, Cuba, Ecuador, or many other nations however, would live as
kings on this income. Povertyis, therefore a subjective concept far more complicated
than a yearly income.

Children in poor countries do not attend school unless they are the sire of wealthy
parents, thus sealing their fate as impoverished individuals. In many countries no
child labor laws exist and therefore a child is seen as a productive worker. Often
these children work as many hours as an adult. In all fairness the harshness of life in
many countries dictates that having one s children educated is a luxury they can not
afford even if state funded schools exist. The family contribution theory extends even
to the children.
The first image of poverty that enters most people s minds is that of a third world
nation, children of industrialized nation s are not immune. The United States child
poverty rate is substantially higher often two to three times higher than that of any
other major western industrialized nation (Child Poverty in the United States 2000).
Canada has it s share of problems as well. Canada has the second highest child
poverty rate when compared against 17 other industrialized nations around the
world, second only to the United States ( What We Know 1997). Poverty often
results in a less healthy population than would be otherwise expected. The reasons
for this are varied. An economically limited individual will tend to live in more
cramped conditions than his wealthy counterpart. Doctors are averse to providing
free or low cost health care. When poor nutrition is combined with cramped

11. Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock
In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset;
even the title and movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates
distances for the audience allowing them to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura,
the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to find a missing dolphin
who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both the
ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being
hired to find it. This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace
has a special bond with animals, an ability to communicate with animals, and in
many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no point is the concept of the
movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s character and
his actions are cartoonish.
This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a
somewhat more realistic world that the audience is able to identify with. School of
Rock creates comedy through a fish out of water scenario where the immature, rock
and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned, and becomes a substitute
teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a rock band
out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches.
The role of Ace Venturaseems to be written especially for Jim Carrey as it takes
advantage of all of his physical comedy gifts. Jim Carrey honed his comedic
12. White Noise Sparknotes
Life is made up of lines. Lifelines, timelines, lines in the grocery store, plot lines,
etc. Lines encompass many different aspects of life. Every person follows a
different set of lines, guarding a few exceptions like birth and death. In the book
White Noise by Don DeLillo readers get to experience different lines in the
characters lives that may or may not correspond to readers own lives. The book
White Noise even starts out by mentioning a line. The first line of the book remarks
on the long shining line [of station wagons] that coursed through west campus
(DeLillo 3). The author chose to first introduce readers to the story through the use of
something as simple and intriguing as a line and it captured attention right away. The

This mask goes unacknowledged by Jack and the people around him because
people simply want to fit in while at the same time try to be more accomplished
than everyone else. Another area in which Jack s character comes into play is with
the German language. Don DeLillo decides to characterize the famous Hitler
college professor as someone who can not even speak the language in which he
supposedly studies. This is contradictory and adds an interesting note to Jack s
character. Jack s limited knowledge of the language goes unacknowledged by
everyone except for Jack and Murray. When Jack finally wants to learn Murray
asks him why and Jack responds by saying that there is a Hitler conference
scheduled for next spring...Actual Germans would be in attendance (DeLillo 33).
Jack will be putting on a mask of knowing German so that he can fit in. All people
just want to fit in whether those people are characters or readers. Another aspect to
building Jack s character would be his level of knowledge. Knowledge is very
important to Jack when it comes to Hitler, but what Jack starts to realize towards
the end of the book is that knowledge changes. Don DeLillo is expressing the idea
that one will never be able to know everything. One must live with the ambiguity of
partial knowledge. Since Jack s look and language barrier were unacknowledged it
revealed the reality that society seems to be about fitting in and becoming the most
13. The Narrative Of Falling Oil Prices
The narrative of falling oil prices has been played out in financial news as a
blessing for consumers and a bane on the energy sector, namely on oil companies
and oil exporting countries. However, a crucial piece of the narrative has been
largely forgotten, and that s the shock that such oil prices have had on private equity
investors in the energy markets for the past year. What was once a lucrative and
seemingly obvious investment into the oil boom of the post recession has, for the
last year, turned into an energy fund disaster for many PE firms. Yet despite the
record breaking losses that these funds have incurred, private equity firms have
recently been doubling down in the market, increasing energy investment to
previously unseen levels. Such actions beg the questions: why are PE firms so
confident in the energy sector, and should they be? As the narrative commonly
begins, oil prices are way down. Way way down. In fact, since June 2014, the price
of a barrel of oil has been cut in half reaching levels last seen during the bottom of
the 2009 recession. The causes of such rapid declines are best attributed to a simple
supply and demandmodel. On the supply side, domestic oil production has doubled
in the last six years. As the world s largest crude oil consumer in the world, the US
was once a large and reliable buyer of foreign oil. But with domestic demand for
foreign oil waning, exporting countries such as Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Algeria
have had to find new

Daisy, who arrived in Italy before Winterbourne, has wasted no time breaking all
the rules of society she can think of. When Winterbourne enters the scene, Daisy
has already made a bad reputation for herself by spending copious amounts of time
in the presence of Mr. Giovanelli, a man of common birth (James 37). The age,
social rank, and assumed moral differences between these two characters has been
enough to cause quite a stir. Winterbourne, who was raised with many social
conventions, is appalled at her behavior and finally has the good sense to put some
distance between himself and her. During this time Daisy continues to make
choices that allow Winterbourne to truly see her true identity and see her for what
she truly was: a woman who used her beauty to fool those around her that she was
innocent. He finds it impossible to say that she was a lady after these revelations
in Italy (James 41). But as if enough was not already enough, Daisy Miller ends
tragically. Daisy is aware, as Winterbourne told her many times, that there was a

not be out and about in areas such as those. Sadly, Daisy pays no heed to that social

19. The Importance Of Characters In Fifth Business
In the novel Fifth Business, characters mark new chapters of their lives by changing
their names. Names are used to identify people in society and they are a symbol of
self. The characters, Dunstan, Boy and Paul all change their names, Dunstable to
Dunstan, Percy to Boy, and Paul to Magnus. Despite the characters attempts to
change their names and personalities, Davies reveals that people will always maintain
their true identities.
Throughout the novel, Dunstan plays the role of Fifth Business even when he
embarks onto a new chapter of his life. Dunstan s major role in this book is
revealing to Paul that the cause for his mother s insanity was because Boy threw a
snowball with a stone in it that hit his mother. He says, Dunstan Ramsay counselled
against revelation, but Fifth Business would not hear. Yes, guilt. Staunton and I
robbed your mother of her sanity (Davies 263). In this quote, Dunstan claims that
he is Fifth Business because he provided information that led Paul to kill Boy. Paul
was always told his birth was the cause of his mother s insanity. Her madness is
what made him leave Deptford and caused him trouble during his childhood. Later
on in the conversation Dunstan says, Fifth Business insisted on being heard again.
Would this jog your memory? I asked, handing him my old paperweight. (Davies
264). Dunstan proves he is Fifth Business again by revealing the stone that was
placed inside of the snowball. This is very important because Paul now
20. Why Schools ShouldnT Have Homework
The American School System Shouldn t Have Homework
Schools in America shouldn t have homework. It has been proven to not help with
test scores or school work, but what it does help with, is lowering students health. I
believe that schools should assign little or no homework, It does little to help and
more to hurt the students. For instance, most students don t have computers and are
financially unable to get one. This is unfair and can cause the student to be behind on
their schoolwork. Another reason is that students are so loaded with schoolwork and
other family/friend activities that they don t have enough time to do what they really
need to. Lastly, the Finnish school system has shorter school days, more recess, and
starts at the age of 7. Yet, it has been proven that they get one of the highest test
scores internationally. First, there s the case where students aren t able to afford a
computer. This causes to affect their grades, school learning experience, and their
mental health poorly. Most students have parents or guardians that constantly want
them to get good grades and when that isn t possible some students don t take it very
easily. Another thing is that it can hurt their grades because now in most schools their
system relies greatly on computers. Teachers use computers for assigning homework,
being able to research topics in class, and giving weekly assignments that are made
to be done at home also. This can make a student become behind in
21. Kenadee Character Analysis
Having two friends that are so much different in personality is an awesome gift in
life. You have someone who speaks up and someone who knows when there is a
time to keep quiet. The one who speaks up, I m referring to KenaDee. KenaDee is
someone you don t want to get on her bad side. Don t get me wrong; she s nice, but
sometimes, wooh, you do not wanna get her riled up. If someone picks on me, she
will jump their bones. She ll tell you what s on her mind. Even as close friends,
she can get mean toward me, but I forgive her because I love her. Usually I just
ignore it and forget it. She gets her sassiness from her mom. She can be loud, crazy,
bossy and so much more, but the best part I love about her personality is that she s
outgoing.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She always wears black or dark skinny jeans. Although, BAM! She wears crazy
shirts like, galaxy shirts with cats flying, and skull T shirts. She even had a galaxy
bookbag and converse, but they wore out. She wears converse s, chokers, and
rings. She doesn t have much hair style looks, but she cut her hair really short and
it fits her perfectly. I love seeing her face better! Time for studying! I freak out
when we have algebra and science tests because we have a lot of math in science
this year, and Mrs. Junek s tests are never easy. I m stressing out about it and here s
KenaDee. It s fine, the math s easy. I m studying my butt off, and I m telling
KenaDee she needs to study too. When I study, I fail, when I don t study, I do
better , says KenaDee. She got an A on her last science test, I got a low C. Yeah, it
s a daily struggle. She will study my notecards once in awhile, but if she doesn t,
she just wings it. And most of the time, she really does do a good job on her tests.
Nonetheless, Mariah gets great scores on her tests too, she does gets low grades and
test scores, but everyone has weaknesses in certain areas. Mariah has a photographic
memory. She can look over the vocab words and other things once, and remember it
like no other. Sometimes I m jealous of that talent, but she s the
22. Asian Community in Modern Day Media
Did you ever really notice how Asians are really been portrayed within modern day
media? As a fellow Asian American. I have noticed that the media displays the
Asian community in only one way, the foreign genius who excels everything, like
kung fu and math. You never really ever get to see a main character, who is a
independent, courageous Asian that doesn t know kung fu , in any movie or TV
shows. Many actors in modern day media prove these stereotypes to be true such as;
beloved actor Ken Jeong, Jackie Chan, James Hong, Lucy Liu, and John Cho. First
off, to help prove my point is ,America s favorite comedic actor, Ken Jeong. You
never see Ken Jeong ever play as a main characterof any movie. Ken Jeong usually
plays as the random minor roll foriegn asian guy who is there to make people
laugh. Think about it, in The Hangover Ken plays a foreign asian mobster, in
Community Ken plays a know it all Korean spanish teacher, even in Knocked up
he stereotypes the Asian job as a doctor that got there because he is Asian. Ken is
only the first person amongst the multiple examples. Secondly, Jackie Chan is
another actor in which they only play a stereotyped Asian. Sure Jackie Chan play
as the main character in a lot of movies, but is stereotyped a lot. In many of his
movies he has a particular Asian accent and knows kung fu that is mocked a lot. In
movies like; Rush Hour Jackie Chan plays a cop who somehow knows kung fu and
every time he says Carter it sounds like he says
23. Wrinkle In Time Theme
In A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L Engle, the theme of love can be your greatest
weapon even when you don t think you need it, it can allow you to save the ones
you love, but can also be your greatest enemy when that loved one is taken away
causing a series of pain, fear, vulnerability, and self destruction is revealed. This
theme is best illustrated through critical parts of Meg Murrys journey/discovery of
tessering. In the beginning, Meg was a troublesome and depressed girl she always
thought lowly of herself also causing a lot of fuss at school mostly because of the
result of her father leaving her like when the principal sighed, Do you enjoy being
the most belligerent, uncooperative child in school? (L Engle 38). Which illustrates
that ever since Meg s father Mr. Murry left Meg became very... Show more content on

Additionally, Meg shows this behavior on the planet Uriel when she felt as though
Calvin and Charles were being taken away from her, Meg felt that Calvin was
being torn from her. When she reached for him her fingers touched nothing. She
screamed out, Charles! and whether it was to help him or for him to help her, she
did not know, (L Engle 71). Which demonstrates how after discovering Calvin was
not by her side she became worrisome causing her to call out for her brother out of
sheer fear, she felt as though vulnerable without them. Meg demonstrates that when
a loved one is taken away a person can feel vulnerable without the protection of
love they gave them and fear for the worst even if it s just a random risk from first
time tessering. Finally, love can be your greatest weapon is shown when Mrs. Which
strengthened the unknown ability Meg she didn t think possessed, to save Charles
from IT the disembodied Brain controlling him, I love you! she cried. I love you,
25. Aspects Of Body Image
Body image is the perception that a person has of their physical self and the thoughts
and feelings that result from that perception. These feelings can be positive, negative
or both and are influenced by individual and environmental factors. Many modern
celebrities are known for being excessive sharers on social media.
For instance, the Kardashians are notorious for posting daily glamorous and often
lingerie clad images on Instagram that attract several million likes. But it s not just
images of attractive celebrities that flood social media. Friends, acquaintances and
strangers post images of themselves too, often editing them to disguise face
blemishes, make cheeks rosier or to make their nose look smaller. When people
look at these attractive images on social media, research shows they often compare
their own appearance to those images and think they re less attractive than the
images they see.We know these comparisons can make women unhappy with their
appearance and put them in a bad mood. Given body dissatisfaction is an important
predictor for eating disorders, we need to know if some types of comparisons are
worse for people s body image than others. ( Instagram Feeds Do More Damage to
Body Image Than Billboards: Study )

The four aspects of body image

representation of how you actually look. For example, a person may perceive
themselves as overweight when they are actually
26. The Pursuit Of Happyness Movie Analysis
The Pursuit of Happyness is a multi million dollar award winning film that
demonstrates the honesty behind supporting a family. The production takes place
in San Francisco, California. Chris Gardner, his wife Linda, and five year old son
Christopher Jr. live check to check. After putting all of their life savings into bone
density scanners, Chris learns soon enough that it was a bad investment. With
Linda pulling double shifts at work, Chris comes home to disappointment from his
wife when she sees he hadn t sold a scanner that day. While the Gardner s financial
demands continued to grow without being met, their marriage fell apart. It was just
Dad and Son at this point, and Chris vowed to never separate from him. Still in a
financial mess up, Chris is evicted from his apartment owing three months of back
due rent. Now homeless, he and Christopher are forced to sleep in random places
such as a train station bathroom and various shelters for over a year. Chris meets and
impresses Jay Twistle, who manages a successful stockbroking company Dean Witter
Reynolds, while solving a popular and unbeatable Rubik s Cube. This encounter
landed Chris in a competitive stockbroking internship program. Now, Gardner must
manage continuing to impress his bosses at Dean Witter while dealing with
homelessness and raising Christopher Jr. with little income. The Pursuit of Happyness
directed by Gabriele Muccino is an eye opening film that focuses on the struggles of
poverty, marriage, and
27. The Story Of Fun With Dick And Jane
The story of Fun with Dick and Jane is one about a very up and coming business
man who loses his job as a result of his employer s economic difficulty.
Consequently, these circumstances leave his family not only in a financial crisis,
but in clear and utter hopelessness. From the grass literally being pulled out of their
front yard to their home foreclosure, Dick and Jane faced tragic difficulties that
many others faced in the recent foreclosure crisis. Dick and Jane felt so desperate
that they decided the most appropriate solution was stealing what they needed to
feed their family. This sense of desperation is what all those recovering from a
foreclosure feel. Often times if families survive the immediate hardships of
foreclosure, then there are lasting ramifications such as poor credit, emotional stress,
and the loss of their home that they must face. In addition, they will struggle with
obtaining future loans, be subject to higher interest rates, and subject to higher
security deposits for utilities. These circumstances make it entirely difficult to
recover from foreclosure and next to impossible to own a home once again.
However, among these trials there are methods those recovering from a foreclosure
can use to obtain a home such as a land contract. A land contract is a way to purchase
a home with financing through the seller rather than a bank. There is also a time
period in which monthly payments are made, and at the end of that time the buyer
must pay for the home.
28. Summary Of Ghosts Of Ole Miss
Quint Swanberg
Professor McCarthy
Business Ethics
16 October 2015
Ghosts of Ole Miss Every higher institution of learning has their own set of myths and
history. Some of them may be vaguely true and some may be highly influential. The
history of the institution may have a negative effect on those who look to apply or be
a part of the institution. The history of a place sets the epitome of future enrollees.
Some of the ghosts that haunt any college may have an extremely negative impact on
how they are viewed today. This negative perception of the university can lead to
strong economic deficits. Throughout trying to combat negative concepts that are
thrust upon an institution, they have resolved issues of ethics, violence and, to most
importantly, boost cohesion and moral. Throughout this essay, I will be examining
the effects of one of the most controversial university enrollments. James Meredith
paved the way for African American acceptance into a historically all White
University. No matter how much adversity Meredith would encounter, he would not
give up or give in to institutional racism. The want to keep Ole Miss segregated by
those there did not hinder his success. In an attempt to end racial segregation, the
Supreme Court ordered the admittance of James Meredith to the campus. This action
was a clear defiance of racial segregation. This resulted in an abundant amount of not
only riots but also casualties. Meredith paved the way for other African Americans
29. Theme Of Beauty In Annie John
Beautiful Black: Counter Rhetoric of Shame and Anger
Abstract The epitome of ideal beauty from a long time has been largely depicted as
a woman with light complexion and blue eyes mostly. It wasn t possible for women
of colour to be classified as ideal beauty while white women hardly struggled to
achieve this ideal. Jamaica Kincaid s Annie John is a profound inspection of the
creation of racialised and gendered identities in fictional texts. In the novel, Kincaid
confronts Western standards of beauty and demonstrates that the concept of beauty is
socially constructed. The major themes of a postcolonial nature like multicultural
diversity, ethnic medicinal practices edging on superstition, racism, colonial
hangovers, cultural domination by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

30. The Paralogical Of Leopard Man In The Sociology Of
Leopard...
To be human is to be an individual human, with individual tastes, talents, values,
and aspirations that are distinct from those of others. Living in society, we are
under constant pressure to surrender our individuality to the will of the majority,
the school, the workplace, the family etc. (paragraph 6). Logan Feys, the author of
The Sociology of Leopard Man , from The Rebirth of Reason, stated that masses of
individuals in society are continually expected to be similar to others or at least fit
in, socially. The desire to fit in is mostly each persons desire, but not Leopard Man,
he is distinct but he just wants to live his life in solitude and at peace. People in
society expect others to be the same, but to be humanis to be unlike others. Each and
every person has unique differences, but society discriminates each other. Logan
Feys is right about how society is wrong for judging others by appearance and not
accepting the differences within those people. People in society view individuals in
different ways, which is why the majority of people in society would view others the
same way, because if someone views a person from that perspective, chances are the
next person will view that one individualthe same way due to the fact that they all
want to fit in with each other, so that none of them would become outsiders. The
author states that Society looks down upon freakish and extraordinary individuals
alike and views them with suspicion. (paragraph 4). This
31. Oral History In Canada
The use of audio records for this project is significantly important as audio records
allows people to heard the voices of those who are not heard, in this specific case,
it is the voices of immigrants that are heard. Often, there is a general belief that
people come to Canada for a better life, which is true. However, people also assume
that immigrants instantly have a better life in an economic and social way, which is
not true. This is why oral history is important in this situation. Oral history will allow
immigrants to share their personal experience with immigration and new life in
Canada. This will allow the providing of a new perspective on immigration and even
contradict the general beliefs on immigrations thanks to the use of oral history....

Budget expenditures funds allocated from the budget for non repayable basis within
the approved budget. As already mentioned, depending on the program (state, local)
expenditure of funds for their implementation is made from the relevant budget.
Expenditures of local budgets are carried out in areas identified by the Budget Code.
The budget as the organization of financial relations coexist two trends:
1. The centralization of the system of forms and methods of traffic management of
financial resources as a reflection of a more general process of centralization in
managing the economy to overcome the crisis and stabilize;
2. Decentralization of finance with the increased functions of local government and
administrative bodies in the formation and use of financial funds. The second trend is
justified by the approximate nature of local authorities to local conditions, their
greater interest in the socio economic development of territories. The principle of the
administration of financial relationships is the ability to exercise control of finance:
the less specific financial terms amenable to formal verification, the more desirable its
assignment to a decentralized management, and vice versa, with well controlled for
centralized management. Global financial theory and practice specify that the local
(local) budgets operate as an independent part
33. Online Learning And E Learning
Chapter 2: Literature Review {Insert Intro Text about Literature Review} 2.1
Online Learning Ever since the computer evolution the way people learn has
changed. Back in the day the major idea of learning was limited to a physical
classroom environment, but since the advent of computers and the Internet that
idea has since changed. Now it is possible to learn anywhere at anytime as long as
one has a computing device and Internet access. There is usually confusion
between Online Learning and E learning, as people tend to use the two
interchangeably in some cases. E learning otherwise known as Electronic
Learning, is a term used to characterize a learning endeavor carried out on an
electronic device. E learning does not necessarily mean that the learning material is
accessible online, it can also come in different forms like an educational CD ROM
commonly found at the back of some textbooks or material than can only be
accessed on a campus intranet. Online learning on the other hand is an educational
endeavor that can only be primarily accessed while on the Internet. Pop (2016)
defined E Learning as the appropriate use of ICT to enhance the learning and can
thus take place on campus or in any other context , while defining Online Learning as
A term describing learning that takes place online and thus requires connection to the
Internet . In summary, Online Learning is a form of E Learning that is done on the

34. How Does Dickens Use Pathetic Fallacy In Chapter 1
Task 1: Chapter One of Great Expectations sets up with immediacy that the
sorrowful scenario is about a young boy called Pip. His background is narrated from
the start. Pip has never known his parents; his imagination vividly develops. Thus,
attempting to see what they resembled (lines 5 7), he finds himself unaccompanied in
a deserted churchyard where his parents were buried. Pip accepts death with maturity.
Humorously, he reflects back on his late parents and siblings (lines 13 15). The
narrator does not make any introductory paragraph; hence, the situation is intriguing
and dramatic. Pip has probably little experience to begin his story with. Instantly, the
reader is propelled into his life through persuasive language such as personification
(lines 18, 25). Thus, he structures these events to match up his style in telling the
story. By applying literary techniques such as long... Show more content on

He exploits pathetic fallacy to represent and emphasise Pip s emotions onto the
environments (line 24); this also implies death. Pip is an orphan, therefore, the
reader becomes concerned about him. Also, Dickens introduces the scene in dull,
bland and greyish colour to suggest Pip s monotonous, miserable and loneliest life.
Besides, the gibbet (line 120) implies death sentence for the convict. The marshes
appear serene as previously described. Dickens uses the dreadful appearance of the
stranger to perturb the settings. A bloodcurdling convict with leg irons who
frightens Pip half to death. Metaphorically, Pip becomes a small bundle of shivers
(line 25). Ironically, the convict also exposes his own vulnerability by requesting a
file to saw the chain and food to satiate his hunger. Alone, he cannot either break the
irons, nor survive without food. These interpretations lie solely in the reader s mind.
Pip is petrified, no
35. The Drug Prohibition Of The United States Of America
The cohorts of drug prohibition argue that the benefits of the prohibition are self
evident and undeniable. The basis of this assumption argument is that without
prohibition the consumption of drug would skyrocket, and therefore, lead to
disastrous outcomes. However, there is no evidence on the commonly held belief.
The empirical evidence that exists does not support the notion of souring drug
consumption. For instance, in the Netherland and Switzerland, where marijuana is
legalized, the consumption rate is lower than in the United States of America, where
consumption of Marijuana is prohibited in most of the states. This study argues for
the legalization of the consumption of drugs and decriminalization of possession and
use of drugs in the United States of America.
Drugs were legal for many years before the 1914 Harrison Act. The period of
massive availability of drugs and the consumption of the same was in the 19th
century (Defeis 101). For the better part of the century morphine, cocaine, and
opium were legally available at drugstores as well as grocery stores without
prescription (O donnell et al. 66). What is significant is that the period was not
characterized by drug paralyzed workers or drug crazed criminals, rather it was a
period marked by unprecedented economic development and productivity (Defeis
102).
Whereas there were many powerful organizations that called for the prohibition or
suppression of alcoholic stimulants, there were no anti opiate organizations

Imagery and Symbolism Buried Deep Within The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
In The Love Song by T.S. Eliot, the imagery and symbolism that are shown have a
deeper meaning than one may realize. At the beginning of the poem, Eliot uses an
epigraph from Dante s Inferno, which ultimately can be taken as Prufrock referring
to how his self doubt and 1over thinking are a living hell for him. Throughout the
poem, Prufrock is in a daydream state of mind, until the very end when someone
brings him back to reality and he drowns. In The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock,
T.S. Eliot exposes Prufrock s insecurities and feelings in a way that he could not
have done himself by adding meanings and hidden symbolism throughout the entire
poem. There is a line that is used quite a bit in this poem which reads In the room,
women come and go, talking of Michelangelo. (Eliot 13 14) This is interrupted as
Prufrock being at a social gathering, such as a tea party. The use of the word
Michelangelo is used to describe how the event is most likely one of scholarly
presence where the guests are discussing famous artists. Prufrock does not fit in
with this crowd, as read in these lines And indeed there will be time, to wonder, Do I
dare? and, Do I dare? time to turn back and descend the stair, with a bald spot in the
middle of my hair (They will say How his hair is growing thin! ) (Eliot 37 40) These
lines reveal a man who is fearful and insecure about his situation, he wonders if he

40. The Effects Of The Forbidden City And The Forbidden City
A 7.8 Million square foot city, the Forbidden City home to 24 emperors was built by
the Ming Dynasty in the 15th century. Building such a massive palace and city calls
for many different ideas to build such city. This may consist of the symmetry of the
city, as well as the strategically placed palaces and homes throughout it. While the
Forbidden Citywas closed off too most people, anyone that did have the amazing
opportunity to enter the Forbidden City were thoroughly impressed by the
astonishing architecture and extravagant art work that filled the palaces to the
brim. Those that were allowed in were required to dismount their horses and
proceed on foot into the courtyard, where they were all greeted by the five marble
bridges giving them passage across what was called the Golden River. While the
Forbidden City has been built upon symmetry and power it also shows the
separation of the public and private sectors very well, and while this architecture is
quite extravagant it provides and shows different effects on the socialization
between the public and private sectors of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City
has been built upon symmetry, shown in figure 1 the city is surrounded by a wall,
approximately 30 feet high. There is only one entrance and one exit, in the front of
the city, The Meridian Gate. Upon entering the Meridian Gate at the front of the
Forbidden City, a common area is presented to the guests, where a small river moves
quietly and peacefully throughout
41. Beowulf And Grendel Comparison
Beowulf, known as the oldest poem in the written English language, written with no
known author, tells a fascinating story involving an epic hero of his time and a not
so understood monster. The hero s name is Beowulf, purposefully being the same
title as the poem itself, he sets out on a journey from his home to the Danes from a
terrible creature that s harming innocent people. As any hero would. Beowulfwants to
prove to himself and the people that he is, in fact, the strongest man on earth.
Although Beowulf is a fine piece of writing on its own, it fails to tell all of the
story, just like any other one sided story does. But, thanks to the novel, Grendel,
written by John Gardner, we get to peek inside the villain s life for a change, which
ultimately very well may change the reader s view of the story completely. These
two versions of the same story are told from two different perspectives, Grendel s
(the monster) and Beowulf s (the epic hero), the story told in Beowulf s favor
insinuates that Grendel is a terrible monster with no soul, whose whole life is
dedicated to killing anything and everything in his sight. However, in Grendel, we
see a completely different side of Grendel that isn t over shadowed by the hatred
that the people have on Grendel. In the book, Grendel, we learn about Grendel, and
how he feels about himself. We are taken on a journey through the last twelve
months of Grendel s life and what lead up to his, as some would have described it in

The wild Boar came solely from domestic stock brought to North America by the
european settlers and explorers. Hernando de Soto the true father of the pork
industry brought the first pigs to america in 1539. As pig herds grew....the
explorers used the pigs for eating fresh meat and for salt and preserved pork as
well. Also the american indians were so fond of the taste of the pork that they also
tried attacking the people which resulted in the most assaults on their
expedition. Some of the methods of control Included some heavy wires and posts
were used to keep the pigs out of people s areas. Electrical fencing was a common
thing used here but it was difficult to maintain over large areas. When the pig
population begins to increase people began to use the cage traps which is the most

43. Analysis Of The Movie Hot Seat
A former hacker is trapped in his office with his chair wired to explode if he stands
up and in order to survive he must hack his way into a computer mainframe to open a
vault for an unseen assailant.
STORY COMMENTS
HOT SEAT is a well written thriller that fully engages the audience. It s the type of
script in which one feels as if they are watching the film. The plot is similar to the
concepts used in SPEED and in the film PHONE BOOTH.
In this story, the protagonist finds himself trapped in his office and forced to remain
seated in a chair wired by a bomb. If he stands up, the bomb goes off. The hero is
forced to hack his way into a complicated mainframe to open a vault for a mysterious
assailant. To raise the stakes, his family is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He s proactive with trying and failing. There s a nice twist with the reveal of the
perpetrator and a nice climax at the end except for the perpetrator strapping a bomb
vest on an 8 year old. This could be highly disturbing to the audience. Even though
the idea of the other right is skillfully set up, there s a taboo about exploiting
children and seeing an explosive vest on a child could dissuade a producer.
With that said there are other areas worth discussing for possible revisions. However,
even without these possible revisions, the script feels marketable.
The first area worth discussing is the opening scene in central park and the hot dog
cart. It s creative and interesting choice, but highly unrealistic. When first read, one
was not sure of the tone, especially with the description of processed guts and
yumminess. A more realistic scene doesn t involve a hot dog cart, but simply
people strolling in the park, and perhaps some teens or a homeless person find
something like a box and it s a bomb. The idea of the bomber going to the trouble of
getting a hot dog cart is more for dramatic purposes than realistic.
The scene between Jackson and Wally on page 2 isn t the most engaging i.e. their
dialogue. What works is the subtext about Life is chess. You better have a plan A,
B, and C, or game over. On page 28, again, their dialogue doesn t fully engage.
On page 3, a frantic officer tells them that there s an explosion in central park, and
then on page 28,

On April 26th 1986 located in Ukraine the catastrophic and disastrous nuclear
accident occurred labeled The Chernobyl Disaster occurred. The catastrophe is
recorded to be the worst nuclear power plant accident to date and the first
classified as a level seven event on the International Nuclear Event Scale. The
estimated cost of the damage inflicted is a total of eighteen billion rubles. The loss
of life sparked by the ordeal official thirty one people by direct cause. The disaster
has had a prolonged effect to environmental and health fields. The total damaged of
The Chernobyl Disasteris unknown and remain in the process to be accounted for.

One day prior to The Chernobyl Disaster the nuclear facility scheduled an
experimental test to be run on reactor four for the nuclear facility. The goal was to
solve an unacceptable flaw of a power outage if an unexpected electrical issue
occurred. The process was to identity and measure the residual energy generated by
the reactor could supply enough energy to run critical components of the reactor
until the back up Diesel generation could kick in before reaching a low power or
shut down state. The experiment was to be over viewed by a specially tasked group
of electrical engineer team, and the duration of the operation was scheduled to occur
between the day too afternoon work cycles.
The time schedule for the experimental operation suffered an unexpected delay. The
Kiev power grid suffered a shortage of electricity in the grid. The control grid
operator requested the Chernobyl facility to delay the operation in order to assist in
the electricity demand of the peak hour. The Chernobyl director agreed to the request
and officially postponed the operation until their energy output was no longer
necessary. Despite the delay, the staff of reactor four proceeded in necessary
preparation for experiment. The crew disabled non energy affecting routines and the
passive cooling system responsible for maintaining the reactor four s core; the system
supplied emergency
45. Peenemunde Research Paper
Beginning from deep within the depths of Nazi held territory to appearing on
virtually every continent. Ballistic Missiles have had a long history dating back to
1939 and the beginning of the V Weapons program, and have been around in one
way or another for over 70 years, indeed the advent of modern missile technology has
changed the face of modern warfare and politics, and coupled with the advent of the
two stage hydrogen bomb, they have now brought humanity the closest to another
World War. Ballistic missile
development, proliferation, and usage have had one of
the largest and most profound impacts on modern warfare and international politics.
On the cold and misty morning of October 3rd, 1942 Wernher Von Braun and his
team at the remote baltic island of Peenemunde stood around a launch console from
their safety bunker looking upon the apex of their years of engineering. For years the
team at Peenemunde, under the direct orders of the FГјhrer himself labored building
the most technologically advanced weapon system ever devised, in an operation
rivaling the scale of the Manhattan project. For years the RAF under the command of
Bomber Harris... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beginning with the progenitor to the V 2 Rocket, the V 1 was another Peenemunde
invention designed for much the same purpose as the V 2, but with different
means to its end. The largest difference is in the flight path, as the term cruise
implies, the missile flies at typically low level, at relatively slow velocities as
compared to a ballistic missile, which as previously stated follows a ballistic
trajectory similar to that of artillery fire. They however are typically guided by the
same systems, almost exclusively using either GPS guidance or inertial gyroscopic
guidance, however by virtue of their low flying nature, cruise missiles tend to be far
more accurate, but with modern guidance systems this reduces to a negligible
