For this assignment, the objective was to create an environment, of our choosing. There needed to be two paintings, one interior and one exterior.

2. THEME
Puebla Mexico
Puebla is a city in east-central Mexico, southeast of
Mexico City. It’s known for its culinary history, colonial
architecture and pottery. The painted Talavera tiles
adorning numerous buildings are locally produced.
I wanted to create an interior and exterior of a house in
Puebla because I feel I’ll love using the different bright
colourful colour schemes for buildings and structures,
in Australia its strange and different to have structures
with lots of different colours like Puebla Mexico. So it
will be interesting implementing these colours to my
own creation.

had a clear image in my head

For the interior i
waned to use a
lot of warm
colours. mainly
red because it is
normal to be in a
house in Puebla
Mexico I’ve
found out in my
research. With
the painting
made a brush
that had very
rough edges, I
thought it made
the wall have a
old and run
down look.
