For a class I had To created a character model pack, showcasing 3 three characters that I have designed. Showing details in expression, in poses and angles, turnarounds, colours and shape construction.
2. CONCEPT
• My Concept idea was to create a character from Mexico that moved to Australia. The
story would revolve around my main character “Paco” and follow his adventures
adapting to Australia's life style. For my theme, I in visioned it to be a cartoony
Comedic Animation series. Paco would also have some family that moved with him,
like his Great uncle Sancho, which is his Great uncle, and Topito, which is the family pet
/ servant / butler/ Mole.
3. PACO
For my first character my idea was to create an endomorph. The very first thing I wanted was
to have a comedic character. When I was designing him I had the idea of his background
being foreign, he actually was going to be from Central America living in Australia in an
apartment by himself. So he is be able to speak Spanish and has a strong accent when
speaking English. With little consideration I named him Paco. I wanted to make a lovable
funny character so what I did was made him really skinny but the way he thinks about
himself is completely different to what everyone else thinks of him.
Paco thinks that he is super cool, strong and good looking, hence he usually does not wear a
shirt to show off his “muscles”. Paco is super ambitious and has little patience, so he makes
lots of goals for himself and pretty much never completes them, because he is always
changing his mind about them. The only family Paco has is his Great uncle Sancho and Topito
who is not related to him but lives with his great uncle. Paco is not so bright and can be easily
manipulated. He can be brave and up for any challenge but super scared and intimidated of
his great uncle.
10. TOPITO
• For my third and final Character I created a Mole called Topito. My idea was
to create an animal that had Human characteristics, so I chose a Mole.
Moles mainly live underground and dig through dirt and stay away from
sunlight because they can’t stand sunlight because it blinds them. So for
my mole I wanted to make him the complete opposite of a normal mole.
He is extremely posh, delicate and hates to be dirty. He speak perfect
English doesn’t and speak Spanish, has terrible eyesight, extremely sarcastic
and manipulative (especially to Paco). Topito doesn’t show very much
emotion in everyday life but that doesn’t mean he does have fun being a
smart ass
17. GREAT UNCLE SANCHO
• For my second character I wanted Paco to have at least one relative, but I didn’t want
the relative to be exactly like Paco, I wanted to make the relative the complete
opposite of him. So I made great uncle Sancho, Paco’s Great Uncle. My idea was to
make a grumpy, old, little crazy, stubborn, short tempered, lazy and mean man who
doesn’t speak much English at all. Great Uncle Sancho was going to not like Paco
much, he was going to be embarrassed and disappointed in him. Great uncle is very
old and crippled, he has peg leg and uses a cane when has trouble walking. Sancho
lives by himself near a forest, where he is away from any people however he does has a
Servant/Butler Topito who is a mole.
