They work indoors, usually for 40-50 hours per week. Training requires a bachelor's degree, and some positions require a master's degree in business administration. In 2008, around 532,200 systems analysts were employed in the US working for governments, insurance companies, financial institutions, and business management firms. The median salary range in 2008 was between $88,240 and $141,890 annually.
