A computer is a machine or device that performs processes, calculations
and operations based on instructions provided by a software or hardware
program. It is designed to execute applications and provides a variety of
solutions by combining integrated hardware and software components.

6. History of computer
The computer as we know it today had its beginning with a 19th century
English mathematics professor name Charles Babbage.
He designed the Analytical Engine and it was this design that the basic
framework of the computers of today are based on.
Generally speaking, computers can be classified into three generations.
Each generation lasted for a certain period of
time,and each gave us either a new and improved computer or an
improvement to the existing computer.

7. Uses of computer
Computers are used in so many fields in our daily life. From Engineers to
Doctors, Students, Teachers, Government Organization they all use
computers to perform specific tasks, for entertainment or just to finish
office work. Computers have made our life easier. With greater precision
and accuracy and less time taking computers can do alot in short time
while that task can take alot of time while doing manually. Computers
have taken industries and businesses to a whole new level. They are used
at Home for work and entertainment purposes, at Office, In hospitals, in
government organizations. Here we are going to discuss some of the uses
of computers in various fields.

8. Uses of computer in textile sector
The textile designs are the original works of the designers. CAD helps
them to visualize and see their imaginative design in final form without
producing any sample swatch. Sometimes, The customers too provide
ideas for designing according to their particular requirement. These are
in the form of painted artwork or fabric samples and sometimes film
negatives. The textile designers, with the help of CAD, convert them into
workable designs. For this to be done, the sample is scanned with the
help of either scanners or digital cameras and then they are edited to
obtain the final design.

9. Importance of computer
A Computer is fairly important to computer science since it's the main
tool you use for filing system . On the other hand, computer help us to
keep data base, track records and we can keep account details easily.
Now you want to analysis data you have to use computer. We can say that
today computer is playing very important role in our lives. Now is the
time when we cannot imagine the world without computers. And this
technology is advancing both in industry and home. It has become
necessary for everyone to have the basic knowledge about computer.
Otherwise he cannot get a job as computers have invaded almost all the
fields.

10. Harmful effect of computer
Computer addiction can have a variety of negative effects on a person.
The most immediate are social. The user withdraws from friends and
family as he spends more and more time on the computer. Relationships
begin to wither as the user stops attending social gatherings, skips
meetings with friends and avoids family members to get more computer
time. Even when they do interact with their friends, users may become
irritable when away from the computer, causing further social harm.
