The abc+ project, a collaboration between the Department of Education (DepEd), USAID, and various educational organizations, aims to enhance literacy and numeracy for up to two million students in specific regions of the Philippines from July 2019 to June 2024. The initiative focuses on improving children's reading abilities in their mother tongue, Filipino, and English while also strengthening foundational math skills through comprehensive assessments and tailored instructional materials. Additionally, the project aims to build institutional capacity within DepEd and foster collaboration among schools, families, and communities to support early grade learning.

2. ABC+ is a project of the Department of Education (DepEd)
in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International
Development (USAID) and implemented by RTI
International, together with The Asia Foundation, SIL LEAD
and Florida State University.
It also works in partnership with the Ministry of Basic, Higher
and Technical Education (MBHTE) in Maguindanao, and the
and UP NISMED for numeracy.
ABC+ project aims to benefit up to two million students in
its target implementing areas.
