This study compared life satisfaction levels between employed males and females in Lahore, Pakistan. It surveyed 220 employed individuals using a life satisfaction scale. The results found that 32.7% of both males and females reported being slightly satisfied with their lives. There was no significant difference in life satisfaction between males and females. The study had some limitations, such as being conducted only in Lahore over a short time period, and recommends further research with larger sample sizes in other areas of Pakistan.

2. introduction
 Life satisfaction was a symbol of mental health which
regarded to wide-ranging of positive personal,
psychological, social, interpersonal and intrapersonal
results
 There was a relationship between employment,
communal upkeep and life satisfaction. The communal
upkeep linked with satisfaction of life. Those who were
marital, had good employment career, got well paid and
good communal upkept.
 Many researches had been conducted on comparison of
satisfaction with life among employed male and female
in Lahore. But there was no such relevant data available
Pakistan.Through this research, the study would be
helpful in providing the data regarding the comparison of
satisfaction with life among employed male and female
in Lahore.

3. Objective/Rationale
Objective:
 To determine the comparison of satisfaction with life among
employed male and female in Lahore
Rationale:
 Maintenance of employment and its relation to life was
difficult to manage now-a-days because of the limitations of
the jobs.This is resulted in the several mental and health
problems.To overcome this, necessary steps were to be taken.
The purpose of this study was to bring awareness among
people to determine the effects of employment on their
personal and social setup.

4. Material and Method
STUDY DESIGN:
It is a Comparative Cross-Sectional Study.
STUDY DURATION:
The predictable time of this study was three months after the
approval of synopsis from the Azra Naheed Medical College
SAMPLE SETTINGS:
Physical therapy department of government as well as private
clinical setups of Lahore
 Both government as well as private physical therapy
teaching institutes along with physical therapy departments
of their attached hospitals in Lahore

5. Material and Method
SAMPLE SIZE:
 The sample size will be taken as “220”.
 Sample size calculated by ‘Raosoft’ in which
the margin of error was 5%
 Confidence level is 90%; the response of
population was 85%

n = sample size
E = margin error

7. Material and Method
DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURE:
 The comparative cross-sectional survey was completed after
the permission from ethical audit boarding of concern
institute and companies. A sample size was considered by
using raosoft calculator.The inclusion criteria might be
satisfied by the members.The data was taken after having a
well-informed consent form from the members. Employed
male and female was incorporated in the study.
 Data was gathered by using Satisfaction with life scale. Part A
of the questionnaire was consist on basic demographic data
and part B was having Satisfaction with life scale
questionnaire.The questions was completely clarified to the
members and was transformed into simple language to
remove the obstruction.

8. QUESTIONAIRE:
 In most ways my life is close to my ideal.
 The conditions of my life are excellent.
 I am satisfied with my life.
 So far I have gotten the important things I want
in life.
 If I could live my life over, I would change almost
nothing.

9. Material and Method
INCLUSION CRITERIA
 The inclusion criteria are taken from those:
 Employed males and females
 Above 25 age
 Population of Lahore.
EXCLUSION CRITERIA
 The exclusion criteria of the study are:
 Unemployed males and females
 Disability
 Who could not respond to this study

10. ETHICAL CONSIDERATION:
 Ethics was kept in considerations during the
whole period of the study.
 Only those participants was included in the
study who signed the written consent form.
 All the personal form of information for the
participants kept hidden.
 This study would not affect the ethical values
of the participants involved.

11. Statistical Procedure:
 All the data that was collected and analyzed
through computer program SPSS version 23.
 Relationship of comparison of satisfaction
level among employed males and females
was determined by usingT-test.
 For categorical variable, frequency and
percentage was used and discrete variables,
mean and standard deviation was used.
 The P value of 0.05 was considered
significant

16. conclusions
 Our study results estimated that around
72(32.7%) of the employed male and female
were slightly satisfied with their life.There is
also a need for further researches conducted
in various cities of Pakistan to observe their
level of life satisfaction. Perhaps such types of
researches have not been conducted in
Pakistan.

17. limitations
The limitations and recommendations for the present
day must be taken into account for the improvement
and discovery of other aspects of this study.
 This study was only conducted in Lahore.
 Time duration for the study was short.
 Small number of population covered in this study.
 Some participants were very uncomfortable to
disclose their personal feelings, so they may not fill
the correct data.
 The study was cross-sectional.
